Broken system fails neurodivergent teen seeking help

Medical professionals claim they cannot initiate an autism evaluation for my teenager, insisting it must originate from her school - which is completely false. This is especially problematic since she effectively camouflages her challenges at school and maintains good academic performance. Neurodivergence is consistently minimized, with dismissive suggestions like checking her pulse during stress and attributing everything to typical adolescent behavior. She's become housebound with agoraphobia, and after finally securing a medical appointment, absolutely nothing was accomplished. Her severe anxiety remains unaddressed, with doctors refusing medication. The incredibly harmful statement that "things only become more stressful" was actually told to a depressed, anxious child - how unprofessional and damaging. Her special educational needs support has been stripped away, and she's been languishing on the CAMHS waiting list for nearly three years. What options are left? She's been completely abandoned and disregarded by the system. The treatment is utterly unacceptable.

Terrible customer service at this medical practice

The reception team and surgery manager were absolutely terrible... while the doctors were pleasant, the administrative staff were incredibly discourteous and condescending. Even though my request was somewhat uncommon, there are professional ways to explain practice policies without stripping patients of their basic respect and dignity.

Exceptional healthcare service with quick and caring staff

Completely outstanding experience from the moment I filled out the form. The doctor contacted me promptly within 10 minutes to schedule an appointment. He then followed up to arrange a blood test. During the consultation, he examined me thoroughly, recommended an x-ray, and prescribed medication as a precaution. The receptionist was equally exceptional, helping me obtain the blood test form and providing helpful information about parking when I was approaching my complimentary one-hour limit. She was incredibly kind and supportive. Sincere appreciation to the entire team for their exceptional service.

Terrible reception overshadows excellent medical care

The medical professionals here are top-notch, but the front desk personnel are absolutely dreadful. They come across as condescending and dismissive, and they flatly refused to add my carer/partner to the practice's records. When I call, they consistently demonstrate a complete lack of willingness to assist, which is especially frustrating given my disability. I'm thoroughly exhausted by the persistent disrespectful attitude from these same front desk staff members!
