I have been attending this GP practice for over a decade, and my previous main concern was around appointment availability. The practice has since implemented improved systems (a significant positive change) and while navigating the booking process still requires some effort with the technology, it functions effectively and the reception staff are approachable and willing to assist. I wanted to particularly commend the team for their support during a serious health situation affecting both myself and my family. The clinical staff consistently demonstrate commitment beyond standard expectations, the medication specialist is highly valuable (particularly recommended if you need extended consultation time to discuss your medicines in detail) and the clinical nursing team provide excellent care. Whenever you do manage to connect with a healthcare professional in person, the experience justifies any waiting time involved. The NHS faces well-documented pressures, which inevitably affects GP practices through resource constraints, potentially impacting appointment accessibility, administrative processes and appointment scheduling efficiency. This accounts for the four rather than five star rating. However, these systemic issues are widespread across the service, and I find the practice is run by committed, competent and conscientious individuals who are genuinely invested in their patients' wellbeing.

I saw Dr Schofield last Tuesday and it was a fabulous experience. I find I can always get an appointment when I need one, the receptionists are without exception helpful and will go the extra mile. I am nearly 80 and IT literate, but whenever I get stuck on the Digital Front Door I can just ring up and the receptionist will talk me through the problem. The GPs always treat me with dignity and respect, always go to a lot of trouble and obviously care very much. The nurses and HCAs are superb, I am often there for B12 injections and routine vaccinations and they are always on time and efficient. The whole practice feels like a family and I feel welcome there, where I have been accessing NHS services for 33 years. I was born before the NHS existed and I am extremely grateful for the treatment I receive. We should not take it for granted.
