The optician promised a same-day appointment and sent me a text with a 4 PM slot. Their service was top-notch, and following a thorough consultation, they suggested I undergo a blood test and schedule an appointment at Park Medical. This morning, I called at 9:45 AM and waited 10 minutes. The receptionist, while pleasant and apologetic, informed me that no appointments were available for the next week. I'm left wondering: Is this just a problem with Park Medical, or have NHS GP practices completely lost their way?

Fantastic healthcare with compassionate and caring staff

My interactions with this medical practice have consistently been positive. Since relocating to the area more than a year ago, I've only needed to visit a few times, but each appointment has been exceptional. The staff are incredibly compassionate, warm, understanding, and highly competent. Jemma deserves special recognition - she was absolutely fantastic. Her approach made me feel completely comfortable, calm, and well-supported. I'm deeply grateful to the entire team. The front desk staff can occasionally come across as a bit abrupt, so be prepared for that. However, some receptionists are truly warm and appear to have genuine compassion. Throughout my three-year experience, every single doctor has been exceptional. They're all delightful professionals who efficiently handle their responsibilities - kudos to the National Health Service.

Frustrating wait and unhelpful medical center staff

I attempted to schedule a consultation by phone early today, beginning my call at 8:10 AM but not getting connected until 8:45 AM. Upon finally reaching the receptionist, I was told to call back tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock to book an appointment, even after explaining that I'm currently unwell and urgently need to speak with a doctor. This is a recurring issue with this healthcare facility. The experience has left me thoroughly frustrated and dissatisfied.

I've been receiving care at this medical practice for more than a decade. Their services have significantly enhanced over the past few years, and the staff consistently demonstrate a helpful attitude. Initially, I was uncertain about their new 'covid safe' procedures, but I quickly secured an appointment for a routine test a couple of weeks back. When I needed medical consultation last week, I called at 8am, was connected within 10 minutes, and received a doctor's callback by 10:30. The physician was incredibly supportive and hopefully resolved my medical concern. My sole reservation pertains to their morning telephone system. Although my recent issue wasn't critical, I still had to vie for attention alongside patients with potentially more pressing medical needs. It seems logical that patients with non-urgent matters should have the option to contact the practice later in the day.

Terrible service and unhelpful medical staff

I was instructed to wear a mask even though I'm exempt and no other people were present, with the staff member safely behind a screen. They repeatedly failed to manage my prescription despite numerous phone calls and follow-ups. The entire customer service experience was incredibly disappointing and aggravating. I absolutely cannot suggest using this service to anyone.

Ridiculous booking system leaves patients without care

I've been informed that the sole method to schedule a consultation is by phone strictly between 8 and 9am on the same day. Anyone without telephone access during those precise hours is effectively prevented from securing a medical appointment. Apparently, online booking, advance scheduling, or reserving slots at any other time is impossible, as all appointments are released exclusively on the day of service. I find it hard to imagine a more inconvenient, impractical booking system. Individuals unable to make a call within that narrow window are completely shut out from seeing their healthcare provider.

Frustrating medical practice with poor communication

Attempting to contact the medical practice proved to be an exercise in futility. I endured a lengthy wait in the queue for more than thirty minutes, only to be abruptly disconnected when someone finally picked up. Upon finally establishing contact, I was instructed to submit a photograph of my leg rash through a link that was entirely non-functional. The entire experience was an absolute exercise in frustration and unproductive effort.
