Patient feedback reveals a sharply divided experience at Park Surgery, with significant challenges in appointment access and reception courtesy contrasting with consistently praised clinical care. Securing appointments remains a major barrier, with patients reporting difficulty reaching the practice by phone, lengthy waiting times, and frustration with the transition to telephone-based consultations. Reception staff courtesy has been a recurring concern, with some patients describing dismissive or unhelpful interactions, though the introduction of the Evergreen booking system has improved experiences for some users. Medication supply issues and unresponsive communication have also been documented across multiple reviews.
The clinical and nursing teams receive substantial praise for compassionate, thorough care and supportive communication. Patients consistently highlight the professionalism and attentiveness of nursing staff and individual clinicians, with particular appreciation for continuity of care and genuine listening. Several patients report transformative experiences with specific practitioners, noting their responsiveness and reassurance during challenging health situations.
While the practice demonstrates capacity for excellent clinical outcomes and supportive care delivery, systemic organisational challenges around appointment availability, reception experience, and communication responsiveness appear to significantly impact overall patient satisfaction. Recent improvements to the booking system suggest potential for broader service enhancement, though access barriers and reception courtesy remain areas requiring attention.

Excellent!
Quick and caring medical support when needed
I was experiencing severe Covid symptoms and desperately required medical attention. I called early in the morning and utilized their callback option, receiving a response before 8:30. The reception staff were incredibly supportive, and the physician conducted a comprehensive examination. They additionally provided me with a barcode for the local pharmacy, which has resolved my previous medication collection challenges. This service was remarkably efficient compared to the old days of endless phone waiting times!

Terrible service that fails customers completely
Such a terrible approach - best of luck to anyone hoping to avoid having their personal information compromised or actually securing an appointment. It's high time management was either overhauled or the entire operation was shut down, or perhaps the Red Cross needs to step in and salvage this complete disaster. An absolute embarrassment.

Terrible service leaves patient frustrated and confused
Endless lines, sluggish employees, and unresponsive customer service. They abruptly ceased communication regarding my medication adjustment without providing any explanation for their silence.

Terrible service and zero communication nightmare
Absolutely terrible service. Impossible to schedule an appointment, and even when you do, you get absolutely no meaningful outcomes or resolution.

Painful wait for dental care leaves patient suffering
Called at 8am. Repeatedly encountered automated messages indicating they couldn't answer my call, ten separate times. At 8:07, finally received an automated prompt stating I was 30+ in the queue and could press 1 for a callback. They returned my call after half an hour, only to inform me they had no availability to see me. I'm suffering from persistent, intense pain due to a fractured tooth and urgently require powerful pain medication. I've been on their waiting list for more than three months. The healthcare system has completely deteriorated.

Worst medical experience ever terrible service
Absolutely dreadful medical practice. You arrive at 8am only to find yourself stuck behind 30 other patients, and when the phone finally picks up, you're greeted by the most unbelievably discourteous staff imaginable. Attempting to use their online booking form? Completely futile, as the website constantly redirects you with a message to return the next morning at 8am, no matter what time you actually try. This surgery is genuinely an embarrassment - anyone would be wise to steer clear of this absolute disaster.

Terrible service putting patients health at serious risk
My daughter has been struggling to secure a medical appointment. When she calls at 8am, they respond at 11am claiming no slots are available and advise her to visit the emergency department. The A&E waiting time exceeds 5 hours, which is impossible for her to manage with an 11-month-old baby, especially since she doesn't own a car. They're even suggesting she take a taxi! Park Surgery deserves to be closed down for their complete failure to provide basic GP services. They can't continue using COVID as an excuse indefinitely. Either they should fulfill their professional responsibilities or consider leaving healthcare altogether. This approach is precisely why emergency departments are overwhelmed and on the verge of collapse!!

Exceptional healthcare with caring and responsive staff
I can genuinely attest that Park Surgery has consistently been exceptional and supportive throughout my experiences. My most recent interaction with them today was equally impressive. This encompasses their entire team, from reception staff to GPs and other personnel, who are always incredibly accommodating and eager to help. Their communication system is seamless - they offer an automatic callback feature, and during less busy times, my wait is minimal. When I require an appointment, I'm always able to secure one efficiently. I'm careful to only request appointments when I truly have a medical need, which helps maintain their smooth operations.

Terrible medical experience with long wait times
Terrible facility. Needed to visit for a medical imaging appointment. The check-in line was so lengthy that I missed my scheduled time. The technician wouldn't process me due to my tardiness. I attribute the delay to the inefficient front desk staff. Anxious about potential serious health implications that prompted this scan. Relieved this wasn't a surgical procedure.

Impossible to book an appointment at this surgery
Securing an appointment here is an incredibly challenging experience. Virtually every attempt I've made has been frustrating. This morning, I called precisely at 8.00am (the designated appointment release time) but was immediately blocked by a system message. I spent the entire morning trying to connect with someone. When I finally got through, I was number 30 in the queue. After enduring around an hour on hold, the receptionist informed me no appointments were available and was recommending everyone visit the Urgent Treatment Care at the local hospital. It seems my critical error was calling just 10 seconds after 8.00am; apparently, all appointment slots were claimed in those crucial seconds before me. I'm not exaggerating - I genuinely believed arriving before 8:01am would secure my spot, but clearly not. Beyond the 8.00.00am window, the receptionist noted appointments were scheduled 6-7 weeks out, which is completely unsuitable for urgent medical needs. I'm definitively planning to transfer our family's medical registration soon. I sincerely hope other practices offer a more responsive and accessible service.

Terrible service and impossible to book appointment
Attempting to secure a medical consultation proved impossible. After spending 90 minutes futilely waiting on hold, I was compelled to visit a minor injuries unit, which ultimately contacted the medical practice on my behalf. The interaction with the receptionist was distinctly unpleasant, as they curtly informed me I must telephone precisely at 8am the following morning to request an appointment. Upon doing exactly that, I discovered no available slots existed.

Worst ultrasound experience ever with rude nurse
The service was absolutely terrible. The ultrasound technician displayed a complete lack of professionalism from the start. She arrived late and then rushed up the stairs with her patient. Without consideration, she insisted my partner wait outside, disregarding my right to choose his presence during the scan. Inside the ultrasound room, she continuously complained about performing multiple scans and overstepped her boundaries by attempting to give medical advice beyond her role. She even tried to convince me to undergo an unnecessary additional scan. The entire experience left my partner and me feeling distressed and upset. I will definitely not return to this facility and strongly advise others to avoid it. The level of unprofessionalism was shocking.

Worst medical experience ever avoid at all costs
Each instance I believe they've reached their lowest point, they manage to sink even lower with another disappointing experience. Scheduling an appointment is practically unattainable. The personnel are discourteous and visibly exhausted, displaying zero professional etiquette. The physicians appear incompetent and uncertain, demonstrating a concerning lack of medical expertise. I wouldn't feel confident allowing them to handle even the most basic medical task like cleaning a minor wound. I'm definitively relocating elsewhere.

Disappointing service decline at local gp surgery
Previously, this medical practice was excellent, but now the situation has drastically changed. Securing an appointment has become incredibly challenging, and the reception staff are completely unhelpful. They constantly redirect patients to the Crawley urgent centre or ESH, leaving me bewildered about the purpose of keeping the GP Surgery open when it's essentially inaccessible when patients need medical attention.

Terrible healthcare experience that left me frustrated
Absolutely Terrible Experience, Front Desk Staff Displayed Appalling Attitude and Zero Assistance. Forced my child to endure a grueling 5-hour wait in a crowded area filled with other ill patients. Scheduling an appointment appears impossible, suggesting the physicians operate on an extremely limited basis. Despite promises of a callback from management, no communication was ever received - complete organizational breakdown!

Compassionate care when my baby needed help most
I was incredibly relieved to get an urgent appointment for my infant when she became seriously ill with a severe viral rash. The medical team genuinely listened to my worries and provided compassionate care. The staff were extremely polite and conducted themselves with utmost professionalism. My sincere appreciation goes to Park Surgery for their excellent service.

Terrible service for parents with infant health needs
Avoid this medical practice if you have an infant. We urgently required allergy treatment and medication, yet they've been unresponsive to our electronic consultation for nearly a week. On previous occasions, they've immediately redirected us to the emergency department for trivial baby-related concerns. Their motivation appears to be evading responsibility and avoiding scheduling an actual appointment.

Dangerous mistake puts patient's health at serious risk
I am contemplating filing an official grievance. While seeking urgent antibiotics for a chest infection (confirmed by a practice nurse), my daughter traveled from Billingshurst with her two young children to retrieve medication from the in-practice Day Lewis pharmacy, she was mistakenly handed EYE DROPS!!! How could such an irrelevant medication possibly address a chest infection in a 72-year-old patient???? This represents a dangerous level of sheer incompetence by the medical practice. After being a loyal client for over twelve years, I am now actively seeking alternative healthcare providers.
