Feedback on this practice reflects a mixed experience across appointment access, reception courtesy, and clinical care. Patients consistently report significant challenges securing appointments, with extended waiting periods and difficulties reaching the practice by phone. Reception experience emerges as a key concern, with multiple accounts of discourteous and dismissive staff interactions, though some patients describe welcoming and professional front desk service. In contrast, clinical consultations receive more positive feedback when patients successfully access them, with many praising medical professionals for compassionate care, thorough consultations, and genuine engagement with patient concerns.
Communication and responsiveness present ongoing issues, including delayed callback arrangements, unresponsive phone lines, and gaps in care coordination between departments. Some patients report feeling dismissed or deprioritised when seeking help, whilst others highlight instances of exceptional attentiveness and problem-solving from individual staff members. The practice appears to deliver variable experiences depending on which team members patients interact with and their ability to navigate the appointment system.
Where patients have managed to access medical care, satisfaction with clinical quality is notably higher, suggesting the primary barriers relate to access, booking processes, and reception interactions rather than the quality of medical treatment itself. However, persistent concerns about appointment availability and communication responsiveness indicate systemic challenges that impact overall patient confidence in the service.

Fantastic medical team transforms patient experience
The medical practice has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. The staff's demeanor has become significantly more welcoming, and the physicians appear genuinely committed to addressing patients' needs and resolving health concerns effectively.

Incompetent doctor missed critical medical information
After struggling with unresolved health concerns for several years, I scheduled another appointment with my general practitioner. From the moment the consultation began, his demeanor was markedly detached. He casually reached for the keyboard, declaring he would prescribe medication with minimal engagement. When I inquired about when to start the medication, he responded with a condescending tone, explaining that the surgery's electronic system was current and the prescription would be ready at the pharmacy by the time I arrived. I pressed again about medication timing, and he curtly stated I should begin immediately. I then asked whether I should continue the medication during my upcoming hospital stay. Surprisingly, he seemed unaware of my hospitalization and questioned the reason for my admission. I explained I was scheduled for surgery the following week, specifically for a potential bowel cancer diagnosis. "Oh, I didn't know," was his casual response. I mentioned that the surgeon had already sent correspondence, and I had received copies of these letters sent to him. He admitted being too busy to review all incoming communications, but now knowing my situation, he recommended postponing the medication until after my hospital discharge. Beyond his astonishing indifference, the practice's communication protocol appears fundamentally flawed. Merely having administrative staff dump emails into patient files or perform cursory scanning is an unacceptable process if physicians aren't reviewing critical information. If this approach continues unchecked, it seems inevitable that patient safety could be seriously compromised, potentially with tragic consequences.

Unprofessional and insensitive staff at medical center
The reception team's behavior is absolutely appalling. Their attitude is incredibly off-putting. Whenever you seek information, they come across as completely disinterested and irritated. I understand they're swamped with work, but when a child's medical needs are involved, such unprofessional conduct is completely unforgivable.

Frustratingly rigid system fails customer expectations
Extremely disappointing. Excessively rigid and using administrative red tape as a shield to compensate for a complete lack of critical thinking.

Disappointing service from once great team
The staff used to be wonderful! Sadly, as a long-time customer, I've noticed a significant decline in their service quality recently. They've become unresponsive and are clearly not addressing patients' concerns or inquiries. I was abruptly disconnected while trying to explain my situation, with them dismissively claiming the matter was being handled. Previously, I would have rated them five stars without hesitation, and this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to leave a review - which really speaks volumes about my current frustration.

Fantastic transformation from frustrating to fantastic care
Initially, we found the medical care lacking, feeling like an inconvenience with physicians who seemed disinterested (though we rarely visited). However, our recent appointments have been a remarkable transformation! Every healthcare professional we've encountered has been exceptional - compassionate, genuinely engaged, and solution-oriented! What a dramatic improvement - we sincerely hope this standard continues!

Exceptional doctor and quick service at park surgery
Visited Park Surgery after a long break. Spacious waiting area with plenty of seating. Barely had time to sit down before being called in. Met Dr Milmane... what an exceptional physician... he truly listens and comprehends, taking time without feeling pressured. An outstanding doctor who left no room for criticism. I was the sole patient present, so I'm puzzled about the reported appointment delays. A completely satisfied patient.

Unhelpful urgent care with ridiculous time restrictions
Forget about getting quick guidance when you drop in. If your incident or mishap isn't within the past two days, you'll need to drag yourself, hobble, or practically crawl to Bognor Memorial. Utterly disappointing!!!

Terrible customer service at this unresponsive business
I was forced to make multiple in-person visits because they consistently fail to pick up their telephone lines. Each time I went inside, the employees appeared to have plenty of free time. Frustrated, I returned to my vehicle and attempted to call again, only to find that they still wouldn't respond to any phone calls.

Friendly receptionists make this practice stand out
Since becoming a new patient at this practice, I've interacted with three separate front desk staff members. Without exception, they were exceptionally courteous, supportive, and professional. They consistently followed through on their commitment to contact me as promised. While I haven't yet had the opportunity to assess the physicians (which is why I'm giving four stars), I am thoroughly impressed by the genuinely pleasant and competent women working at the reception desk.

Horrific medical care that destroyed my health
What a colossal error I made in registering with this medical practice. They are an absolute embarrassment. My previous practice in Goring was exceptional for over five decades, and I couldn't have been more satisfied. I never understood others' complaints about doctors until now. For the past five months, I've been futilely attempting to secure an appointment at Park Surgery Littlehampton. When I requested to see an alternative doctor, I was categorically denied and told I could only consult my assigned physician. I'm battling relentless chronic pain throughout my arms, hands, and feet. Last week, I collapsed from foot pain and now believe I shouldn't drive, which threatens my employment and financial stability. I can't even grip a pen, yet a receptionist ludicrously suggested I write in. They're fully aware of my deteriorating condition and have consistently ignored my pleas for assistance. Their service is abysmal - promises of return calls go unfulfilled. Each contact requires a minimum seven-week wait; when I last spoke with them in mid-May, they suggested possibly July! Another staff member claimed they hadn't even opened July's appointment register. My health continues to decline, directly attributable to their negligence, and they demonstrably do not care. I've been compelled to seek expensive private medical alternatives I cannot afford. When I do seek medical help, I expect basic compassion and support. Private professionals have confirmed I urgently require treatment and surgery, which Park Surgery has only complicated and exacerbated. I was astounded when a receptionist suggested a blood test before I'd even consulted a doctor - a point my private physician found disgracefully unprofessional. I rarely write reviews, particularly negative ones, but the persistent disrespect I've experienced leaves me no alternative. If my account prevents another patient from suffering similarly, it will have been worthwhile. If you have any choice, absolutely AVOID Park Surgery in Littlehampton!

Terrible service and unhelpful medical staff
After reaching out for an appointment due to ongoing pain, I was told "someone will call you back". When the callback came, I was offered a 5pm phone consultation that conflicts with picking up my children. The phone operator seemed disinterested and dismissive, essentially telling me to accept their terms or get no help. I had to forcefully explain that I'll be in an area with no phone signal and cannot miss collecting my kids, yet was made to feel like an inconvenience. This medical practice, which was once outstanding, has dramatically deteriorated. The service has become so poor that patients are discouraged from seeking necessary medical help - help they are absolutely entitled to receive. I've contributed to National Insurance my entire working life and deserve proper medical support, contrary to the unhelpful attitude of their staff. Despite knowing I'm awaiting a critical biopsy operation, I'm no closer to seeing a Doctor than I was two weeks ago when I initially called and received no response. The lack of care and professionalism is truly frustrating.

Caring doctors but frustrating front desk experience
I have no complaints about the physicians and healthcare professionals (whom I've actually managed to consult), as when you can finally get an appointment, they're incredibly supportive. Nevertheless, some of the more established reception staff display a complete lack of compassion or understanding.

Frustrated diabetic seeks better health management support
I appreciate their assistance, but as a diabetic, it seems every health issue I experience is linked to my condition. I'm weary of repeatedly being criticized for supposedly mismanaging my diabetes. If I were healthier and not constantly battling colds and infections, managing my health would be much easier. For the last half-year, I've been plagued by a persistent cough and cold, which ultimately culminated in contracting covid. I'm forced to rely on over-the-counter remedies to suppress my coughing and sneezing, knowing these will potentially disrupt my blood sugar levels. The whole experience feels like being reprimanded by a stern schoolteacher.

Worst experience ever at this terrible place
Absolutely terrible customer service experience. The staff were completely unhelpful and seemed totally disinterested in addressing my concerns. From the moment I arrived, it was clear they had no intention of providing any meaningful assistance. Truly frustrating and unprofessional interaction that left me feeling completely disappointed and ignored.

Poor!
Terrible medical practice with shocking privacy issues
Despite my repeated attempts to update my contact information, they persistently contact my husband when trying to reach me. It seems they operate under some outdated notion that I require my husband's approval or intervention. Even more concerning, after multiple calls to my husband regarding my medical details, they then ring me from a concealed number, demanding I disclose personal information while simultaneously refusing to authenticate their own identity. Their approach to data handling is alarmingly reckless. Most of the reception staff display a discourteous attitude, with only a rare few showing any semblance of professionalism. The doctors are marginally acceptable if you manage to actually speak with them, but appear largely detached and unengaged. For anyone who takes their personal data security seriously, I strongly advise steering clear of this medical practice.

Compassionate nurses helped me heal with great care
I experienced a slight leg injury after an accidental tumble, and throughout my subsequent medical appointments over the course of a month, I was truly touched by the exceptional compassion and professionalism of the nursing staff. I want to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding care and empathy I received during my treatment. Warmest regards, Charles.
