I've had the opportunity to visit this medical facility on several occasions when referred by my primary care physician. Despite not being my regular healthcare provider, I must say that each experience has been remarkably positive. The staff consistently demonstrate a warm and welcoming demeanor, going above and beyond to assist patients. Their helpfulness is truly commendable and leaves a lasting impression. It's unfortunate that the distance from my residence prevents me from choosing this establishment as my permanent medical center. If proximity weren't an issue, I would undoubtedly make this my go-to healthcare provider without hesitation.

They're apparently capable of assisting with address verification documentation. How utterly ridiculous! It's mind-boggling that such a basic service needs to be highlighted as a selling point. One would think this should be a given, not something to boast about. Honestly, the fact that they even mention this speaks volumes about the overall quality of their operation. It's almost laughable, if it weren't so pathetic. I'm left shaking my head in disbelief at the sheer incompetence on display here.

Incompetent care and poor communication

This establishment is utterly worthless. On one occasion, a physician prescribed medication without bothering to review my medical history, resulting in a treatment that was detrimental to my existing health conditions. When I returned to explain this, the doctor couldn't even properly interpret one of the test results, which, ironically, was conducted at their very facility. Another time, after being referred to a specialist by one of their doctors, the specialist rejected the referral. Consequently, my doctor cancelled it without even having the decency to inform me over the following two months, despite my maintaining contact with them during this period. I could recount numerous other incidents, but it'd be a waste of breath. I wouldn't recommend this place to a single soul.

Mentioning joint or back discomfort results in immediate deflection to physiotherapy, bypassing proper medical evaluation. It's astounding that receptionists wield the power to deny doctor consultations, especially after enduring a nine-month wait. Their transparent attempts to conceal physician shortages are insulting to patients' intelligence. Perhaps most alarming is the complete absence of mental health support. This glaring oversight underscores a systemic failure to address the full spectrum of patient needs, leaving those seeking psychological assistance entirely neglected.

I've spent an exhausting 6 hours across 3 days attempting to secure an appointment via phone. Despite my persistent efforts, I was ultimately informed that no appointments were available and advised to visit the walk-in centre instead. Even after explaining my predicament - the severe pain in my left elbow rendering my arm nearly useless and my inability to grip objects - the response remained unchanged. The lack of empathy and accommodation for my condition was deeply disappointing.

I was expecting to be referred for an ADHD assessment back in July. Despite following up numerous times and being assured that it was "with the team," I've just learned that the referral was never actually made. The waiting lists are already extensive, and this oversight only exacerbates the situation. To make matters worse, when I was finally given a contact number for a psychiatrist, it turned out to be incorrect – it was actually for a gastroenterology department. The incompetence displayed by these medical professionals is astounding. Their lack of organization and attention to detail is particularly problematic for individuals with neurodivergent conditions or mental health concerns. The level of care provided is nothing short of a joke. If you're seeking support for such issues, you'd be better off looking elsewhere.

On the rare occasion when one manages to secure a same-day appointment, the stark contrast between the struggle to book and the eerily empty waiting room is jarring. It begs the question: what exactly are the physicians engaged in? The pre-recorded message imploring patients to treat staff respectfully speaks volumes about the level of exasperation routinely experienced. The NHS could potentially redirect resources more effectively by reconsidering the operation of this subpar establishment. Additionally, the limited parking situation is exacerbated by staff vehicles occupying the scant spaces available outside the surgery, further complicating matters for patients who manage to secure an appointment and arrive by car.

Improved service at Parkfields after changes

Parkfields has undergone significant transformations of late. While the front desk experience may have lost some of its personal touch, the overall efficiency has markedly improved since their merger with other medical practices. I've been dealing with health issues recently, which led to a hospital stay, and I must say that each time I've reached out for an appointment, I've received a prompt callback and been seen on the very same day. Although this sometimes meant visiting different locations and being attended to by various physicians, the quality of care has been consistently outstanding. I'm genuinely impressed by the level of service they provide. Kudos to Parkfields for their excellent work and dedication to patient care.
