Impossible to get through on the phone

I found the appointment booking process to be quite frustrating. The requirement to phone in order to schedule a visit is impractical, as getting through by telephone proves extremely difficult. This has resulted in my prescriptions being limited to a shorter duration rather than the longer period I previously received. I feel this approach is counterproductive, as it creates additional administrative burden rather than reducing it. I would appreciate it if appointments could be arranged directly without needing to make repeated phone calls myself, as I believe this would be a more efficient solution for everyone involved.

Misdiagnosed chest infections, missed serious condition

I had a very negative experience at this practice. My husband was repeatedly given one diagnosis for his symptoms, but when he was seen at the hospital, a completely different and more serious condition was identified that required urgent attention. This significant difference in clinical assessment was extremely concerning and distressing for our family.

Practice has declined since the split

If it would let me rate 0.1% of a star I'd still think it was too high, the service hasn't been the same since several years ago when there was a change in staffing before the practice underwent restructuring.

Reception lost my complaint form twice

The practice has misplaced important documentation on more than one occasion. I have experienced difficulties with a particular staff member whose manner made me feel uncomfortable during appointments. When I raised concerns about this, the management response was to defend the staff member's conduct rather than address my concerns.

Rude staff and unhelpful management team

I was relieved to leave this practice. The management appeared ineffective, and the staff interactions were unpleasant. I felt the clinical team lacked competence and was unwilling to provide adequate support. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your care.

Referrals to mental health services left unresolved

There is one clinician at this practice with whom I feel comfortable discussing my mental health concerns without feeling like a burden, however I am frustrated by repeated referrals to the local mental health service without receiving any follow-up communication. I am disappointed that my anxiety has not been adequately addressed through the care I have received, and this ongoing lack of support is deeply concerning to me.

Booking was smooth and staff genuinely kind

When I was searching for a medical practice in the area, the ratings initially gave me pause. However, a friend suggested I give them a go, and since they were conveniently located, I decided to try them out. I must say I have been genuinely impressed by the exceptional standard of care and compassion I have received at this surgery, which has exceeded my expectations based on previous experiences elsewhere. This is a well-organised and caring practice. I am pleasantly surprised to find that there are still traditional surgeries around that have embraced modern approaches to deliver an efficient service. I would strongly recommend them.

Felt listened to and genuinely cared for

I attended an appointment today and saw a clinician who was genuinely lovely and demonstrated real professionalism. When you need support, the healthcare team are always there to help, and people don't always recognise how much medical staff have been impacted by recent events. They all do an excellent job and I'm grateful for the care I received. I'm feeling somewhat better following the visit. On a separate note, I'd recommend avoiding a particular salad bar as I experienced significant illness afterwards and spent most of the day unwell. I won't be returning to that establishment and will prepare food at home instead. Thank you to the healthcare team for their kindness and support during my appointment. I'm looking forward to my upcoming treatment plan.
