Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals significant challenges with appointment access and booking systems, with patients consistently reporting difficulties securing timely consultations through both phone and online channels. Phone lines remain frequently unavailable or busy during opening hours, while online booking platforms experience capacity issues and technical problems. Reception experience emerges as a major concern, with multiple reports of discourteous, dismissive, or unhelpful interactions, though some patients describe positive encounters with courteous staff. Communication and follow-up present recurring issues, including missed referrals, delayed prescription processing, and inadequate notification of test result problems or appointment cancellations.

In contrast, several patients commend the clinical care provided by medical professionals, praising responsive doctors and nurses who demonstrate genuine concern and competence. Digital services such as online consultations and medication ordering receive positive feedback when functioning effectively. A subset of reviews highlight exceptional reception staff professionalism and compassion, suggesting variable service quality across different interactions.

The practice appears to face systemic organisational challenges affecting service delivery, with patients noting deterioration since the pandemic and frustration with the shift toward digital-only appointment systems. While some recognise resource constraints within the NHS, others express concern about inadequate contingency planning, poor communication protocols, and insufficient staffing to manage patient demand effectively.

Terrible service with frustrating online appointment system

You might find it impossible to schedule unless you go ONLINE! ONLY online appointments are accepted!!!! Even if you're seriously ill, they show zero concern! ONLINE is the ONLY way! The Quality Care COMMISSION recommends a balanced approach, but they completely ignore that guidance!!!!

Broken healthcare system fails patients despite dedicated staff

A stark illustration of how governmental inefficiency, misguided policies, and unrealistic priorities cripple public healthcare. The staff consistently demonstrate helpfulness despite being constrained by inadequate resources. After struggling for eight months to resolve a health concern, I ultimately had to seek private treatment. The healthcare workers genuinely strive to deliver the best care possible within their limited means. The compassionate staff are often unfairly scapegoated for systemic shortcomings beyond their control.

Exceptional healthcare at parkside medical centre

I've been a patient at Parkside Medical Practice in Milton Keynes for over two and a half decades, through their previous and current locations, and I can confidently say I've consistently received exceptional care from every single staff member. A heartfelt congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding service.

Frustrating anima online service fails knee pain patient

It seems impossible to access GP through the platform now. Anima's online service is absolutely terrible, making it difficult to navigate and view GP information. Moreover, I continue to experience knee pain both before and after using your Anima online system, with no improvement whatsoever.

Compassionate care despite digital health transformation

The surgical team deserves some understanding - they're genuinely making an effort. While many consultations have shifted to digital platforms, they still ensure follow-up through direct phone conversations or in-person meetings when the situation requires it.

Frustrating system with broken verification process

Implementing the fresh digital platform seemed promising initially, yet it falls short due to a cumbersome verification stage that consistently blocks user progress, ultimately compelling customers to resort to telephone communication. Additionally, the system lacks readily available contact information for Anima support assistance.

Worst healthcare experience ever avoid at all costs

"Now Accepting Patients… Just Not in Person (Or With Basic Respect)!" The era of face-to-face doctor consultations at Parkside seems to have vanished completely (one wonders how they now occupy their time?!) They've wholeheartedly embraced an exclusively digital appointment system—because apparently, quality healthcare means compelling ill patients to battle a malfunctioning website just to discover no appointment slots exist. Should you attempt to reach out by phone? Prepare yourself for their remarkable reception staff, who appear masterfully trained in delivering maximum discourtesy and minimum empathy. Whether they're dramatically exhaling during straightforward inquiries or making patients feel like burdensome nuisances for being unwell, their commitment to being unhelpful is genuinely remarkable. Healthcare ought to prioritize patient accessibility and compassion, but at this practice, it seems they're intentionally deterring individuals from seeking medical support. If you have a preference for impersonal automated interactions and dismissive attitudes over genuine medical care, this establishment perfectly fits the bill!

Exceptional care from a fantastic local medical practice

I've been a patient at this medical practice ever since relocating to the neighborhood, spanning more than 8 years. The front desk staff consistently demonstrate exceptional politeness and are incredibly supportive, always striving to help patients receive the necessary care and assistance. I want to specifically highlight Lucy, the asthma and respiratory nurse, who is truly outstanding in her role. I consider myself extremely lucky to have such an excellent GP practice located conveniently nearby. My sincere appreciation goes out to the entire team for their incredible commitment to serving our local community.

Unhelpful doctor ignores patient's proven treatment

I received absolutely terrible medical care from this physician. My ongoing issue with palm irritation and inflammation, which consistently flares up during seasonal changes, prompted me to schedule an appointment. I clearly explained my medical history and informed the doctor that I know precisely which medication effectively treats my condition. However, the doctor stubbornly refused to prescribe my proven treatment, instead insisting I try over-the-counter remedies and only return after two weeks if those fail. I'm frustrated that despite my clear understanding of my own medical needs, the doctor dismissed my expertise. Their arbitrary decision means I'll potentially endure unnecessary suffering and risk further complications. Who will manage my household responsibilities if my hand condition worsens because of their negligence? I'm so dissatisfied that I would prefer to submit zero rating, but the system requires a star rating to post my review.

Frustrating experience with terrible customer service

Wasted valuable time waiting on hold for 30 minutes, only to be informed I must schedule an appointment through their online system. They promised to send me a booking link, which never arrived. Attempting to register independently, I found their website's signup process frustratingly convoluted and poorly designed.

Terrible doctor with zero diagnostic skills

Stay away from Dr. Vinodhini Anandaraj, who appears completely incompetent and unhelpful. Her approach is to simply prescribe medication for any medical issue without ever referring patients to appropriate specialists for proper diagnosis or treatment.

Frustrating decline of once-great medical practice

I've been a patient at this medical practice for 14 years without any issues until the pandemic struck. Since then, scheduling an appointment has become nearly impossible, and now they've eliminated phone bookings, forcing patients to use engage consult. What was once an excellent healthcare provider has, in my opinion, deteriorated to a complete embarrassment. I'm seriously considering switching to another practice, but after discussing this with others, it appears all medical surgeries are experiencing similar problems.

Reliable service with helpful staff every time

I typically visit annually, and the facility is consistently well-maintained. Each time I've needed assistance, I've been able to secure in-person consultations, with my most recent appointment being scheduled on the same day, which was incredibly convenient. The online engagement can be frustrating, requiring early morning login at 7:30 AM to secure a spot before the system becomes overwhelmed. However, every staff member I've encountered has been friendly and supportive. Based on my personal observations, the staff appear to be doing their utmost to manage patient volume given their current staffing levels.

Worst medical service ever painful experience

Seeking medical attention here is a nightmare. Attempting to call during the designated morning hours results in constant busy signals, and even if you miraculously connect, all appointments are already taken. The online booking system is equally frustrating, with minimal availability and painfully slow response times up to three days. When you finally manage to make contact, their solution is typically to redirect you to a walk-in center. I haven't physically visited this practice in over three years. The reception staff appear overwhelmed and disengaged, seemingly eager to terminate calls quickly and funnel patients towards digital services. In summary, this is an exceptionally poor medical practice - if alternative options exist, I strongly recommend exploring them.

Terrible healthcare with dismissive and unhelpful doctor

Parkside medical practice falls far short of expectations. Throughout my decade-long experience, Dr. Minnie, my primary care physician, has been singularly focused on smoking cessation, repeatedly suggesting that quitting would miraculously resolve all health issues. His one-dimensional approach is frustrating and unhelpful. I strongly advise potential patients to steer clear of this practice.
