Unprofessional staff destroyed my pharmacy experience

I reached out to inquire about alternative medication for my glycol due to a stock shortage, only to be met with an aggressive and unprofessional response from the receptionist. Despite my partner already confirming with the chemist that the medication was unavailable, as clearly stated in the NHS message, the receptionist rudely told me to calm down and shouted at me. The individual working reception at 15:30 on 22/11 demonstrated an appalling lack of customer service and basic interpersonal skills, and frankly, should not be in a position that requires any form of public interaction.

Terrible nurse service left me frustrated and angry

I contacted the medical office this morning and surprisingly secured a callback for today. However, the Nurse who was supposed to reach out rang once and immediately disconnected, not allowing me sufficient time to pick up the call. She repeated this unprofessional behavior twice!!! No voicemail was left. When I rang back the surgery to clarify if the calls were accidental, I discovered the Nurse had documented that I missed two calls. Now they're claiming they cannot guarantee a return call because their staff member is unwilling to perform her duties correctly and provide patients a fair opportunity to respond. If I do not receive a callback today, I will be filing a substantial complaint about this unacceptable service.

I just heard from my mother that when she called her medical practice, they claimed no appointments were available and advised her to contact the NHS 111 service instead. She's desperate to consult her regular physician, given her ongoing health complications which the staff should be well aware of.

I'm truly grateful to the wonderful staff at Parkside Medical for their excellent coordination of the Covid 19 vaccinations, particularly for allowing me to receive my second dose ahead of the original timeline. Frustrating experience with unhelpful pharmacy staff

Completely uncooperative, I was forced to go an entire month without my medication because they claimed they needed to verify my blood pressure. When I finally brought in the monitoring device, they informed me it was unnecessary. To make matters worse, the personnel are discourteous and unhelpful.

Incompetent doctors surgery causing unnecessary stress

A truly awful medical practice. They called me late at night apologizing for the delay in my child's test results, demonstrating their incompetence. They requested another sample, which I promptly provided a week later. When I called to inquire about the results, they simply responded by asking me to submit yet another sample, claiming it wasn't in the correct container - the same container they originally instructed me to purchase from the pharmacy. It's an absolute mockery of healthcare. I desperately wish we had alternative medical options. I'm extremely frustrated and worried, as my child has been waiting over three weeks for results, and it will likely be four weeks before we receive anything from this fourth requested sample. I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I advise against using this medical practice. My primary concern is my child's health, and their unprofessional handling of this situation is deeply troubling.

Terrible gp service with frustrating phone experience

Absolutely abysmal customer service. Their phone line claims availability starting at 8:00am, but when I called precisely at that time, an automated message stated they were closed. I tried calling shortly after 8:00, only to encounter a busy signal. Subsequent attempts led to messages directing me to the NHS help line, and calls went straight to voicemail. After 21 frustrating attempts, I finally spoke with a representative who scheduled a return telephone appointment. However, we discovered she had incorrectly noted our contact number. When I called back later that day and waited on hold, another staff member acknowledged their error. Upon expressing my concerns about their service quality, the representative became defensive and accused me of being aggressive - I wish there was a recording of our conversation. One thing is certain: I am eager to find a new GP practice, as their current service is completely unacceptable and desperately needs significant improvement.

Terrible medical care that endangers elderly patients

The most incompetent and dismissive staff I've ever encountered, this medical practice deserves to be shut down. I'm convinced many of their so-called "doctors" are fraudulent, especially in their treatment of senior patients. If you're over 80, they completely disregard your health concerns, which is absolutely appalling. Avoid this clinic at all costs unless you're prepared to be neglected or worse. I'm absolutely committed to pursuing this matter further, as I've witnessed firsthand how they're mistreating my elderly parents and brushing off their medical needs. I would gladly give them a negative rating if I could, they're that terrible

Worst healthcare experience ever terrible service

Awful establishment. If you misplace a document, they remain completely silent. Even in critical situations. They drag their feet for days. When something needs to be passed along, they simply ignore it. "Not my responsibility!" You might discover the outcome after MONTHS, if you're fortunate. Absolutely avoid this place if possible. Especially with a small child. You can consult a physician, but they likely possess minimal knowledge about infant care. Truly not recommended at all!

Frustrating healthcare system fails patient miserably

I can't really criticize the medical staff, but their operational framework is utterly unacceptable. My prescription is critically important and requires consistent maintenance. The prescription renewal somehow disappeared from their system, and the sole nurse authorized to prescribe was away on leave. The receptionist was notably defensive when I highlighted the systemic failures (and frankly, a system without backup protocols is fundamentally flawed). Eventually, the receptionist became more cooperative and arranged for another doctor to investigate. The second doctor ultimately sorted out the prescription. In essence, this entire situation could have been resolved swiftly and smoothly if the receptionists (who, to be fair, eventually did their best in a challenging scenario) weren't initially so dismissive and unhelpful unless you persistently advocate for your needs (and in certain cases, prescriptions can literally be life-or-death matters, not something to be casually postponed until Monday). Ultimately, I attribute these shortcomings to the NHS. This isn't about insufficient funding, but rather poor organizational structure and woefully inadequate operational procedures. NHS, you desperately need to improve!

Frustrating experience with unhelpful medical practice

Been with the same physician for years, which is fantastic as you don't need to rehash your medical background since they know your history. However, I encountered an issue when they sent a letter attempting to transfer me to another doctor without any discussion, but I stood my ground and prevented that. There seems to be a problem with this medical practice - I'm uncertain if it stems from support staff, as many have a negative demeanor when you call. I must clarify that not all staff are unhelpful; some are incredibly supportive and kind. Today, I arrived for an early morning appointment only to be told I must see the duty doctor due to a significant health concern, but surprisingly, no duty doctor was actually available, with no explanation provided. I was sent home to await a phone call. The receptionist eventually rang and said the doctor wanted to see me but couldn't schedule an appointment until the 15th - over two weeks away - and not even with my regular physician. These are issues that desperately need addressing, such as ensuring a duty doctor is present during surgery hours. That's why I'm giving 3 stars, though it really deserves 2 stars, as existing major problems are now compounded by a stressful two-week wait that certainly won't improve my medical situation.
