Feedback reveals a deeply divided patient experience at this practice, with stark contrasts between clinical and administrative services. Medical staff, including doctors and nurses, consistently receive praise for competence, attentiveness, and professional care quality. However, appointment access presents a persistent and widespread challenge. Patients report prolonged phone waiting times, frequent line disconnections, and rapid depletion of available slots, with many describing the booking system as dysfunctional and requiring calls precisely at 8am. Reception experience emerges as a significant concern, with multiple reports of discourteous, unhelpful, and unprofessional conduct that undermines confidence in the service.
Administrative issues extend beyond appointment access to include poor communication, record-keeping failures, and lack of responsiveness to patient concerns. Some patients report being removed from lists without proper notification, experiencing medication delays, and facing difficulties with basic administrative tasks. A minority of patients describe smooth booking experiences and supportive staff interactions, particularly through online consultation systems and in-person visits. The practice environment has undergone recent improvements, with updated facilities noted positively.
The overall pattern suggests capable clinical expertise is substantially undermined by systemic operational failures and reception staff conduct. Patients express frustration that accessing care requires excessive effort, with some relocating to alternative providers despite acknowledging the quality of medical care once appointments are secured. The disparity between clinical excellence and administrative dysfunction creates a service experience that many find unacceptable.

GreatMedication review request ( why bother )
I had a GP appointment on the 1st of April with Dr fuad, she had a colleague with her who was typing. I explained to them I had stopped taking one of my medication a couple of months ago ( against medical advice ) I had stopped them as I was no longer willing to sign a form every 12 months saying I understand the risks to a fetus if I become pregnant. I explained to them that it was because I found it traumatic due to being given false information when I was previously pregnant ( I was told it was safe ) instead of putting my reasoning she put that I was concerned about pregnancy related side effects, ( didn't put that I called out my previous consultant for withholding information on the dangers of my medications, then there is ongoing court cases around the drug ) I am 49 years old single I have a contraceptive implant. I am not planning to get pregnant and also I think it might be a little late for that. All I wanted from the appointment was to have a medication review. I needed someone to explain the side effects and how my medications react with each other. This is something I have asked for multiple times ( and should have on a regular basis ) but have not been able to have. I was referred to a social prescriber which the referral forms has her reason for referral as mental health and loneliness!!!!!!! I WANT A MEDICATION REVIEW THAT IS NOT LONELINESS OR MENTAL HEALTH.

Friendly staff make medical visits a breeze
Every single time I've reached out by phone, the staff answering have consistently been incredibly supportive, and I've always successfully secured appointments when needed, particularly for my young kids. The receptionist working at the front desk yesterday afternoon truly went above and beyond to ensure my 3-year-old daughter felt relaxed and calm. The physicians here are exceptional, with Dr Studley and Dr Bond standing out for their ability to make children feel completely comfortable during medical examinations.

Helicobacter nightmare continues with endless appointment delays
I've been dealing with my Heliobacteria for quite some time, and after a period of remission, I believe it has resurfaced. My initial breath test was scheduled for 02/06, then postponed to 18/06, and now I've just received a text informing me of another cancellation, with the next available slot not until 04/07... are you kidding me? Is finding someone to perform a simple breath test really this complicated? Whoever manages to do this test should be paid handsomely. The symptoms of Heliobacteria are absolutely dreadful, and I sincerely hope no one else has to endure what I'm experiencing.

Great medical care with compassionate team
Welcoming and competent employees. The physicians, particularly Dr. Green, demonstrate compassion, attentiveness, and empathy. Additionally, their morning phone queue offers a convenient callback option for patients.

Disappointing care from unhelpful doctor at pinfold
Pinfold medical center can be acceptable when scheduling an appointment, but certain physicians like Dr. Green significantly undermine the practice's quality. Her attitude towards patients is dismissive and patronizing, showing minimal concern for children's welfare. She consistently interrupts and talks over parents, refusing to genuinely listen to their concerns. When seeking medical assistance for an unwell child, it is strongly recommended to request an alternative healthcare provider instead of Dr. Green.

Great service and quick appointments every time
I'm puzzled by the critical feedback circulating online. In my experience, this medical office consistently demonstrates exceptional customer service and goes above and beyond to accommodate patients. Their online booking system is incredibly convenient - I can schedule an appointment at 7:55 and typically secure a same-day consultation with my preferred physician. Compared to other healthcare providers in the vicinity, this practice stands out as significantly superior.

Frustrating experience with poor clinic management
The facility is experiencing a critical deficiency in essential medical supplies, and the personnel demonstrate a notable lack of professional engagement. Leadership is not meeting the requisite quality benchmarks, which leads to a substandard healthcare experience. It is unreasonable to demand that patients modify their personal commitments to accommodate the clinic's logistical constraints.

Frustrating phone system prevents urgent medical access
I made numerous attempts to contact the office before 8am to join the queue, but unlike previous experiences, I encountered difficulties. As soon as the line was supposed to open at 8am, I was met with a "line busy" message and repeated call disconnections. These persistent issues prevented me from securing an in-person consultation with a GP, which I urgently needed today.

Worst medical service ever terrible experience
Exclusively offering same-day scheduling, with zero online booking options, I spent an excessively long time—over 60 minutes—on hold, only to be informed that no appointments were accessible. As a result, my loved one was left without essential medication for more than seven days. An absolutely unacceptable healthcare facility.

Frustrating service with no real improvement over years
No further explanation needed, as the critical remarks already highlight the systemic shortcomings in diagnostic procedures and triage ineffectiveness. As a local resident, I too am ensnared by this subpar service infrastructure. Over the past 18 years, I've witnessed nothing but superficial modifications, with no substantial improvements. I continue to hope they'll either undergo meaningful self-reflection and enhancement or simply step aside and pursue less demanding work.

Fantastic medical care at pinfold gate surgery
Transferred from a previous medical practice that was absolutely terrible. I genuinely can't comprehend the negative feedback. Pinfold gate has consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism towards myself and my partner. Compassionate, caring, and meticulous. Honestly, if you're dissatisfied with the quality of care provided here, feel free to switch practices. But trust me, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better alternative.

Worst medical experience ever shocking healthcare negligence
A total disregard for medical ethics, with absolutely no semblance of professional care standards. Patients are essentially treated as disposable, and the staff completely evades responsibility. Even after 18 months, they have not addressed the critical medical issue they initially overlooked. This medical practice is fundamentally broken and has utterly failed in its most basic obligations.

Terrible surgery that failed me completely
The mismanagement of this GP surgery is absolutely absurd, and based on recent reviews, it seems most patients share this sentiment. After moving to Loughborough as a student with multiple health concerns, I've encountered nothing but frustration. In the 11 months I've been here, I've only successfully secured a GP appointment twice, despite attempting to book every other week. I consistently call with symptoms that are familiar to me, mild in nature but potentially serious if left untreated. The same receptionist invariably answers the phone, immediately informing me they're fully booked for the next month after hearing my symptoms. When I inquire about future appointments, she instructs me to call before 8am. Those early morning calls rarely get answered, and when they do, it's the same unhelpful response. In-person visits are equally futile, often accompanied by an irritated eye roll. Once, a younger staff member suggested using patient access, but I discovered the pharmacy had disabled GP appointment bookings on the app. I've recently learned my health conditions have significantly deteriorated during my time here, and I'm convinced the surgery's refusal to see me has directly contributed to this decline. What might have been manageable with basic tests and antibiotics could now require a transplant after my education concludes. Regardless of the extent of the surgery's role in my health deterioration, there's absolutely no justification for a receptionist to treat patients with such blatant disregard. I will be contacting my local MP to formally complain about this GP surgery and strongly advise anyone considering registering at Pinfold to seek care elsewhere, even if it means traveling to Leicester. The overwhelmingly negative experiences documented in other reviews strongly support this recommendation.

Frustrating appointment booking nightmare at medical office
I attempted to schedule an appointment by phone on multiple occasions. During my initial attempts, starting at 8 AM, I was told no physicians were available. On my second try, calling 29 times from 8 AM onwards, I still couldn't secure a consultation. After persistent efforts, I finally connected on the third day, but spent over half an hour discussing which medical professional to see. I detailed my reasons for seeking medical attention, and ultimately settled on seeing a specific individual (who was not actually a doctor). The administrative staff seem to wield considerable influence in the process.

Bad!
Terrible healthcare with discriminatory and incompetent service
This medical practice is arguably the most terrible in the United Kingdom. The healthcare providers are completely inept, and I strongly advise keeping children and vulnerable individuals far away. They seem to exclusively cater to non-native residents, so if you're an immigrant in the UK, you'll be fine, but everyone else should steer clear.

Smooth online booking with helpful medical team
I booked an online appointment at 7:55 am and secured a slot with my preferred physician at 10:50 am. The doctor was quite supportive and thoroughly examined my medical concern. However, I noticed something troubling during my visit. A young staff member at the reception was instructing patients experiencing difficulties with car park registration that they would need to pay manually, which seemed inconsistent with what another receptionist had previously advised patients about not worrying if they couldn't input their vehicle details. Fortunately, I personally had no issues entering my car registration.
