Prescription collection made refreshingly simple

We recently switched to this practice after being with our previous one for over two decades. What a wonderful change this has been. I can genuinely say it is one of the best choices we have made. New booking system makes appointments harder

The appointment booking system appears unnecessarily complicated and may discourage people from accessing medical care. A straightforward conversation with reception staff to arrange an appointment would seem more straightforward. When attempting to use the online booking process this morning, it kept redirecting toward emergency services rather than enabling me to schedule a routine appointment for my child.

Reception staff ignored me at check-in

The receptionist's manner was quite unwelcoming. I don't visit the surgery regularly, so I wasn't familiar with the self-check-in process for appointments. While I was waiting, a couple of staff members seemed to overlook me while conversing with each other, and I was eventually approached with a rather blunt question about my reason for being there. I explained I had an appointment scheduled for 11am. They asked who the appointment was with, and I mentioned it was with a member of the clinical team, though I wasn't certain of their name. After providing my name, I was directed to take a seat. It's often said that young people lack courtesy, but I felt the reception staff could have demonstrated more politeness and consideration. Since I don't attend the surgery frequently and am unfamiliar with the layout, a bit more warmth and helpfulness would have made a real difference to my experience.

The receptionist was extremely helpful today and managed to arrange an appointment with an available doctor, allowing me to be seen very quickly. What a wonderful practice. Thank you.

I have moved out of the area but remain with the practice. The pharmacy here is second to none and for this I am grateful.

I recently needed to seek urgent assistance with a respiratory concern. I contacted the surgery in the early morning and received a callback from a clinician within minutes. An appointment was arranged for later that same morning, and I had my prescribed medication by mid-morning. The service was excellent, demonstrating that when a genuinely urgent issue arises, the level of support provided is of a high standard. Commendations to everyone involved.

Reception blocked access to appointments repeatedly

Faced ongoing difficulties with appointment scheduling processes I found myself needing someone to monitor my phone constantly, given the challenges with how appointments were arranged. When my scheduled call came through, it arrived later than expected and rang for only a very brief period. The short window to answer created practical difficulties, as I struggled to respond quickly enough within that timeframe, and I was unable to spend extended periods waiting by the phone for contact from the practice.

Quick response through the app system

I recently had a concern about my young child and contacted the practice through the app. I received a text response requesting additional information, followed by a phone call from a clinician within half an hour. A prescription was promptly made available for collection. The speed and efficiency of the service was excellent, and I'm very grateful for the support provided by the practice and the NHS. Couldn't have asked for better!

Prescription took nine days to process

I submitted a request for a repeat prescription in mid-December and received no response, so I followed up via email a week later and got a notification through the patient portal the next day indicating it was available. It took over a week to process a prescription. I find this system frustrating, particularly having to wait while the medication is prepared at the practice. I would prefer to collect my prescription and have the option to use a pharmacy of my choice without such lengthy delays. If I hadn't chased this up myself, I suspect the wait would have been even longer. Like many others who have shared feedback here, I have had negative experiences at this practice. The interactions have left me feeling unwelcome and discouraged from returning. I am dissatisfied with the service and am currently exploring options to register with a different practice.

Convenient new surgery with helpful staff

A significant upgrade from the previous location, featuring ample parking facilities and an on-site pharmacy for convenient prescription collection. The team has been exceptional, and the health and safety measures implemented during recent times have been exemplary. Much appreciated.
