Rude receptionist and bad attitude

Called this morning for a telephone appointment for my daughter as they were suppose to call back yesterday but had taken my number down wrong, receptionist was very rude and very abrupt did not listen to anything I was explaining, the lady last nigh advised she was putting it down as an emergency due to the mistake made, I have been with this practice for over 30 years and it has gone dowhill massively with the patient care

Exceptional Care for Disabled Patients

We visit this place regularly due to my husband’s disability. The staff is incredibly attentive and responsive, promptly addressing any concerns that may come up. The reception team ensures that we are never overlooked, assisting us in scheduling appointments at times that work best for us. The medical professionals, including doctors, assistants, and nurses, possess extensive knowledge and expertise. I am truly thankful for their kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to help. Even though we have moved our residence, we continue to choose this medical center without hesitation. A heartfelt thank you to everyone! I highly recommend it to others seeking care.

Dealing with ineffective general practitioners and their reception staff can be incredibly frustrating. It often feels like a struggle just to secure an appointment, only to meet with indifference or even manipulation regarding my health concerns. There have been numerous instances where referrals promised never came to fruition, and issues that I raised were met with silence rather than action. Additionally, I was subjected to blood tests for conditions despite clearly stating my preference against them—specifically concerning gluten testing since I hadn’t consumed it in years; thus, any result would likely yield a misleading false negative. This is particularly disheartening as I am not diagnosed with coeliac disease but still experience significant symptoms that are being overlooked. Furthermore, the documentation in my medical records fails to accurately capture the discussions we’ve had about these matters. To the receptionists: securing appointments is a fundamental right here in the UK; it should not be treated as an arbitrary favor you choose to grant or deny at will.

Frustrating healthcare fails patient with painful condition

The most dreadful medical procedure imaginable. My elderly friend, aged 69, arrived just 4 minutes past her scheduled time and was immediately relegated to the back of the waiting line. She's battling osteoarthritis and experiencing excruciating nasal pain that has her terrified it might be something sinister like cancer. Despite being typically resilient, being denied medical attention simply because she was slightly tardy has completely devastated her spirit and left her emotionally shattered.

Heartless clinic fails desperate parent and sick child

An absolute nightmare of a medical facility. Their staff showed zero compassion and completely rejected my sick child's appointment just because we arrived 5 minutes past the scheduled time. Despite being caught in gridlocked traffic that forced me to abandon my vehicle and rush over after calling ahead, I stood in their reception area with my visibly unwell 5-year-old, and they still refused to see us. Completely unacceptable and heartless service.

Frustrating healthcare runaround leaves patient exhausted

Extremely let down by the unhelpful and dismissive reception staff. Throughout the day, I was repeatedly redirected and given conflicting instructions. Initially, they suggested I visit Wellberforce hospital, despite me not being registered there. When I called back, they redirected me to my employer. After contacting 111, I was advised to see my own doctor. After multiple frustrating calls, I persistently requested to see my specific physician. Eventually, they scheduled a phone consultation four days later, which may be completely unnecessary. The entire experience was incredibly stressful and unproductive, causing me to waste an entire day traveling and wandering around, getting nowhere.

Negligent care leaves patient suffering and frustrated

This medical centre is absolutely dreadful and has seriously declined in quality! I've been trying to schedule an appointment for my sister for several days, who is experiencing severe bleeding and urgently requires medication. The receptionist has been completely unhelpful and unable to find an available slot. Only when my mother personally visited and spoke with them did they finally offer an appointment. However, the doctor's response was shockingly inadequate - insisting on weighing my sister first and then stating they can only provide assistance next week, leaving a suffering child who has been bleeding heavily for a fortnight. I am utterly frustrated and devastated by their complete lack of compassion and professional care.

Frustrating practice change destroys patient experience

The medical practice has recently been acquired and renamed 'James Alexander Family Practice'. I'm perplexed by their approach, as they seem more like a corporate entity than a healthcare provider. It's an absolute organizational disaster. I can no longer retrieve my complete electronic medical records since they took over, which was effortless under the previous HFT management. These are my personal records, stored on the NHS database for professionals to reference and update - they do not belong to the practice. They should simply restore access immediately! Additionally, online appointment booking has been eliminated, along with phone and video consultation options, and there are no longer extended or weekend appointment slots. The reasoning behind these changes is completely unclear. I've reluctantly awarded two stars because some of the front-line staff remain courteous and competent, unlike the management team. Were it not for these employees, I would have rated them even lower. Previously, I had rated this practice five stars and considered their service exceptional.

Hayfever Patient Frustrated by Limited Appointment Availability

I experience hay fever that doesn't respond well to most over-the-counter medications, which forces me to require larger amounts of it. Additionally, the scheduling policy is quite frustrating; they only permit bookings until 8 AM. This is absurd because not everyone has the luxury of waiting in line for an hour just to find out that there are no available appointments.

My left leg is experiencing significant issues, including swelling, pain, and mobility difficulties. I repeatedly requested comprehensive blood and urine screenings, but these were consistently refused. Despite being a patient here for a decade, I have never undergone any diagnostic tests.
