Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience at this GP practice, with significant variation in satisfaction across different service areas. Clinical care from doctors and nurses consistently receives positive recognition, with patients praising professional expertise, compassion, and attentive consultations. However, reception experience and appointment access present substantial challenges that dominate negative feedback. Patients report persistent difficulties reaching the practice by phone, with lengthy queue waits, unreliable online booking systems, and limited appointment availability creating barriers to care. Communication issues extend beyond appointment scheduling to prescription processing delays and inadequate follow-up on referrals. Reception staff courtesy varies considerably, with some patients describing dismissive or discourteous interactions, whilst others report welcoming and helpful service. The practice's digital systems receive mixed reviews; whilst some find online consultation forms straightforward and appreciate rapid responses, others struggle with narrow submission windows and inflexible communication channels that fail to accommodate diverse patient needs.
Operational challenges appear systemic, including staffing constraints during breaks, extended lunch closures affecting working patients, and inconsistent service delivery across different locations. Prescription authorisation processes are frequently cited as problematic, with delays extending beyond promised timeframes. Despite these administrative difficulties, patients consistently acknowledge the quality of clinical consultations when they can access them, suggesting the core healthcare provision remains strong. The practice's facility is noted as modern and well-maintained, with convenient in-house pharmacy services appreciated. Overall, the service reflects a practice struggling with capacity and administrative efficiency whilst maintaining clinical standards, creating a frustrating experience for patients attempting to access care despite ultimately receiving competent medical attention.

Receptionists here need serious attitude adjustment
In my experience, the receptionists consistently adopt an attitude of superiority, treating patients with an air of self-importance. They claim zero tolerance for any "form of abuse," which is reasonable. Yet, I'm frequently subjected to discourteous, pompous, and occasionally snarky interactions from many receptionists - almost as if they're intentionally obstructing patient access to physicians. Why should a receptionist demand intricate medical specifics about a scheduled procedure just to facilitate communication with a doctor? Simply stating I have an upcoming operation should suffice; the specifics are irrelevant! I nostalgically recall the professional approach of Cape Road Surgery, where patient interactions were handled with genuine respect. It's truly disappointing how standards have declined.

Terrible healthcare service leaving patients without care
I've reached a breaking point and must share my frustration with this medical practice's complete lack of accessibility. The situation has become so dire that securing an appointment for myself or my children seems utterly impossible, especially during critical health moments. The most recent and compelling example is my son's prolonged urinary tract infection, which has persisted for weeks, and despite numerous attempts to contact the surgery, I've been unable to even enter the callback queue, let alone schedule a consultation. While I understand the immense pressures healthcare providers face, it appears this particular surgery is uniquely overwhelmed and incapable of managing patient needs. I recognize that some patients may have had positive experiences, but our encounters have been nothing short of abysmal and deeply concerning.

Bad!
Terrible medical practice with disrespectful and unhelpful staff
The staff are discourteous, dismissive, and fail to listen properly. Attempting to file a complaint is futile since you're immediately marginalized for voicing concerns. This is undoubtedly the most subpar medical practice I've encountered, with management swiftly criticizing patients while defending their employees' unacceptable behavior. Patients are neither treated equitably nor respectfully, yet the staff demand reverence. Receptionists undermine patients by suggesting their issues aren't critical - in my case, post-surgical complications with a raging infection showing sepsis symptoms, I was instructed to call back another day. Ultimately, I ended up in A&E, where professionals fortunately took my condition seriously. Apparently, receptionists with their self-perceived expertise can arbitrarily determine medical urgency. The blatant disregard for patient welfare is astonishing. While the doctors and nurses are generally courteous, they struggle with interdepartmental communication. Obtaining prescription authorizations is an absolute nightmare, as staff seemingly cannot comprehend the basic requirement of reviewing each other's notes. I absolutely cannot recommend this practice to anyone.

Supportive patient praises caring gp surgery team
This medical practice is exceptional. I've been dealing with challenging health issues recently, and they've been incredibly supportive. Admittedly, getting through at 8:30am can be frustrating, but the call-back queue system is helpful. This morning, I spent 45 minutes waiting to join the queue and another hour before speaking with the receptionist, yet I still secured an appointment. I'm disheartened by people's constant criticism. While we all desire prompt medical attention when unwell, we must recognize that we're not the sole patients. I urge everyone to show a bit more understanding and compassion. The staff are overwhelmed, striving to meet the community's healthcare needs. It's unfair to blame them for the systemic shortage of general practitioners that prevents personalized care for everyone.

Rude and unhelpful staff ruined my entire experience
The front desk personnel display a complete lack of professionalism and interpersonal etiquette. In spite of my repeated grievances dating back to 2020, the situation remains entirely unaltered.

Navigating healthcare access like a frustrating maze
Obtaining medical test results has become an incredibly frustrating ordeal! I'm helping my elderly father navigate this bureaucratic nightmare. We visited the medical practice in person, only to be told test results cannot be shared directly. They suggested using their app, which I successfully registered him for, but the results remain mysteriously unavailable and marked as "needing request". Following their guidance, I submitted an online consultation to request full access, only to be instructed to physically return to the surgery with identification and complete a paper form. I then attempted calling their helpline and selecting the test results option, which bizarrely redirected me back to submitting an online request, as they no longer provide results via telephone. It feels like I'm trapped in an absurd labyrinth just trying to access simple medical information - more complicated than solving a complex puzzle!

Terrible service and unhelpful medical staff
The personnel here are incredibly discourteous. It's absolutely hopeless trying to schedule a doctor's visit when my sole free day is Friday, and they're shut down except for emergency cases - which makes no sense, since genuine emergencies would clearly be handled at a hospital. This practice has seriously deteriorated over time.

Incompetent doctor endangers child's health and wellbeing
Dr. Lewis is an absolute embarrassment. What kind of medical professional would withhold crucial medication that could seriously harm a child's well-being?! I'm absolutely going to file a formal complaint about this unacceptable behavior.

Terrible reception ruins an otherwise great medical experience
Mrs. Druce Laura at the front desk was incredibly uncooperative, lacking knowledge, and discourteous. Throughout my 16-year history with this medical practice, I've never encountered such a poor interaction with reception staff. In contrast, the doctors and nurses were wonderful.

Disappointing decline of once great medical practice
I've been a patient at this medical practice for 35 years, and it has seriously deteriorated over time. All the excellent doctors have departed, including Dr. Mulder, who was my regular physician. A few months back, I experienced significant knee discomfort and consulted a GP who dismissed it as insignificant. The pain subsided temporarily, but now the same knee has spontaneously dislocated!! Additionally, they now only provide sick notes online, no longer accepting phone requests, and I'm still waiting for a response... My employer is pressuring me to submit the sick note urgently, which is pushing me to consider changing healthcare providers after this experience.

Frustrating and unreliable medical consultation experience
Scheduling an appointment here is incredibly challenging. The online consultation form is only accessible during a limited window of working hours. I experienced a single phone call from the doctor, which I missed due to being at work. Despite a message assuring a callback later that day, no contact was made. When I followed up the next day, I was given a phone consultation slot three days in the future. This arrangement was far from satisfactory. My request for a morning call was flatly rejected as impossible. Throughout our interaction, the receptionist displayed a notable lack of engagement and enthusiasm.

Exceptional healthcare with friendly staff and convenience
In our experience, this is the top-notch General Practice Surgery. Scheduling appointments has always been smooth, and the receptionists are proactive in calling back when we're stuck in the morning rush queue and can't wait long. During our recent appointment bookings, Kanta was incredibly accommodating and efficient, skillfully arranging consecutive slots with the same GP. The healthcare professionals here deliver outstanding service with remarkable professionalism and compassion. Dr Bhandal, in particular, was incredibly supportive and responsive, offering us an immediate face-to-face consultation following a brief telephone discussion. The facility itself is truly impressive, featuring stunning interior design and comprehensive air conditioning. An additional convenience is the in-house pharmacy, which simplifies the entire healthcare experience.

Frustrating phone system but friendly staff
Navigating their phone setup is incredibly frustrating, and attempting to schedule a medical consultation seems like an exercise in futility that I've almost completely given up on. However, when it comes to appointments further out, the process becomes surprisingly straightforward, and Gillian herself is consistently delightful and competent during our interactions.

Frustrating process but friendly staff save the day
The staff members are wonderfully friendly, but only after you manage to actually connect with them. Their appointment scheduling process is in dire need of a complete overhaul. For working professionals, securing a consultation is nearly insurmountable. Phone lines are perpetually jammed, and the online consultation option is restricted to post-noon hours. When a callback eventually arrives, it can occur at the most inconvenient moments - I recently found myself discussing sensitive medical matters while browsing in M&S, which raises serious privacy concerns under GDPR. If you're fortunate enough to navigate these hurdles and work remotely with a completely open calendar, you might just succeed in seeing a GP.

Terrible service and endless frustration with practice
I've been a patient at this medical practice for more than a year now. They constantly hassle patients about medication authorizations. Waiting times exceed a week. When my husband attempted to schedule a nurse appointment some time back, he was informed he could only book via telephone, which struck me as completely absurd. I'm thoroughly frustrated with these general practitioners - they're entirely ineffective.
