Horrible service from unprofessional and disrespectful staff

This establishment is so terrible that a single star rating is too generous! The entire reception team displays an appalling level of unprofessionalism, consistently demonstrating rudeness, disrespect, and an absolutely horrendous demeanor. I'm utterly shocked at how these employees were hired to interact with vulnerable patients experiencing medical challenges, yet they choose to be hostile and confrontational during phone interactions. It genuinely appears that being unpleasant and aggressive is a core requirement of their job! STEER CLEAR OF THIS FACILITY!

I dialed precisely at 8 PM, and the discourteous receptionist immediately denied me an appointment. Seriously?! Then she had the audacity to ask, "What's the issue you wanted to see the doctor about?" Excuse me, you're refusing me an appointment because you've exhausted your slots at 8, you're not accepting any routine bookings, and now you just want to know why I'm supposedly inconveniencing you. Obviously, I have health concerns - that's precisely why people contact their GP in the first place!

Horrible service from unprofessional medical staff

I am completely appalled by the receptionist's behavior. When I reached out to switch general practitioners, I was flatly denied and told to stick with my current GP. As I attempted to explain my reasons for wanting to change, they accused me of being abusive. Priory Surgery desperately needs to either improve their staff's attitude or shut down entirely, as they are utterly incompetent and unprofessional.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff

I'm thoroughly frustrated with this medical practice, despite being a long-time patient. Since COVID, they've been using the pandemic as an excuse to constantly claim 'WE ARE FULLY BOOKED, CALL AT 8 IN THE MORNING OR GO TO A&E' When we call at 8, the phone line remains jammed until 10, and if you miraculously get through, they still insist they're fully booked. Call the next day, and it's the same story. Looking at other reviews, everyone seems to face this appointment nightmare, which makes me wonder who exactly is filling these supposedly booked slots when most patients can't even schedule a visit. We're better off going straight to A&E, reminiscent of that classic Little Britain sketch where the response is always 'Computer says, NO' One of the doctors bizarrely started comparing her own weight to my 9-year-old son, remarking, 😲 'you're the same weight as me,' when he clearly looked underweight. We sought help, and instead, she completely undermined my son's confidence. I can't recall her name, though she was a Tibetan lady... Truly abysmal service, with the sole bright spot being Dr. Niece, who is absolutely fantastic. The single star is exclusively for her.

Hope you don't face any critical health issues and rely on this facility for your care. It's practically impossible to schedule an appointment. On the rare chance you manage to connect, they pledge a doctor will contact you, but they never follow through within the promised timeframe or any reasonable schedule. After numerous weeks, when they eventually reach out, they're completely unprepared, lacking even the most fundamental patient information or test results. A comprehensive series of mistakes from beginning to end. This establishment poses a genuine risk to patient safety.

Terrible healthcare experience with unhelpful medical staff

I had to contact emergency medical services twice, once last night and again this morning. Living with COPD, I experienced severe breathing difficulties last night. I'm also suffering from rib and back pain. I was told to wear a mask, to which I explained I'm exempt. After much difficulty, I finally spoke with an extremely discourteous physician who once again prescribed an inhaler that I'm unable to use. My rib and back pain continues to be a concern, and I'm desperate to understand how I can obtain an x-ray. The treatment I've received is absolutely unacceptable. The doctor was incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful, seemingly unwilling to address my potential need for a chest x-ray. I struggled to walk to the medical center today, experiencing significant breathlessness. Upon arrival, the receptionist's initial response was dismissive. This entire experience has been utterly frustrating and disheartening.

Throughout my 2+ years as a patient here, I have consistently had positive interactions with this medical practice. Each time I've reached out, the staff have been courteous and professional in handling my calls. The experience has generally been smooth, provided I can successfully connect with someone. I'll acknowledge that I did encounter a period where ordering a repeat prescription was challenging, as my calls went unanswered for approximately two weeks. However, this wasn't a critical problem since my request wasn't time-sensitive, and I understand they likely have significant workload pressures. My sole frustration remains the inability to schedule appointments in advance, which is the primary factor that might prompt me to consider changing healthcare providers. I recognize that many practices suspended advance booking during the COVID-19 pandemic, but I'm aware that numerous clinics have since reinstated this service. Despite this one reservation, I remain fundamentally content with my overall experience at Priory Surgery.

Terrible service that lacks compassion and empathy

Completely unacceptable, the staff's behavior was appalling and they displayed total indifference. I understand workplace stress exists, but it's inexcusable to treat an elderly woman who recently underwent knee surgery so poorly, especially regarding her medication. Moreover, they were dismissive of my wife's concerns about our 4-month-old infant, offering unsolicited and potentially dangerous advice without even examining the child. Their unprofessional attitude is infuriating. I'm thoroughly fed up with this medical practice and their lack of compassion. It's clear they would handle things differently if it were their own family members in a vulnerable position.

PLEASE READ THIS! FIRSTLY, TO ANYONE READING THIS: I'M SAVING YOU FROM SERIOUS STRESS AND HOPELESSNESS. THIS SURGERY IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. IF THERE'S A WORD WORSE THAN "WORST," IT APPLIES HERE. HERE'S WHY! BOOKING A GP APPOINTMENT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE - A 1/365 CHANCE YEARLY. THE RECEPTION IS CLEARLY PROGRAMMED TO TELL YOU TO CALL BACK AT 8AM THE NEXT DAY. WHEN THAT DAY ARRIVES, THEY WON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE UNTIL 9:15am. WHEN YOU FINALLY CALL, THEY'LL CLAIM THEY'RE FULLY BOOKED AND REPEAT THE SAME CYCLE. THEIR PRACTICE MANAGEMENT IS ATROCIOUS! REQUESTING A PRESCRIPTION, DOCTOR'S LETTER, OR ANY DOCUMENT CAN TAKE 2 WEEKS TO 2 MONTHS IF YOU DON'T CONSTANTLY FOLLOW UP. EVEN WHEN YOU DO FOLLOW UP, THEY SEEM INDIFFERENT. INCREDIBLY, A SIMPLE SIGNATURE FROM THE PRACTICE MANAGER CAN STILL TAKE UP TO 2 WEEKS. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE PERFORMANCE. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE ONE EMPLOYEE WHO ACTUALLY TRIES TO HONESTLY EXPLAIN THEIR TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. THE REST ARE COMPLETELY RUDE, UNREASONABLE, AND CLEARLY DON'T CARE ABOUT PATIENTS.
