Repeat prescription requests ignored for days

I found the service at this GP practice to be unsatisfactory. When I contacted the practice to request a repeat prescription, I was advised that someone would return my call, but this did not happen. I needed to make several calls over a number of days to pursue the matter. Once the prescription was eventually provided, it was issued for a shorter duration than I had requested. I was informed by both my pharmacist and healthcare provider that a longer prescription period should have been possible, yet the practice declined to extend it. I also visited in person to make this request again, but was unsuccessful. Due to these delays, I had exhausted my supply of medication before receiving a refill. This was a disappointing experience overall. I would have reservations about recommending this GP practice to others.

Receptionists went extra mile with prescriptions

The reception team and clinical staff have been excellent throughout my period of requiring additional support following a significant incident. The reception team in particular have been exceptionally helpful in managing my ongoing medication requests and prioritising my appointment scheduling. I am very grateful for their efforts as I continue to progress with my recovery.

Disorganised practice that doesn't seem to care

I'm disappointed to say this has been the poorest medical practice I've experienced. The main issues are that the service appears disorganised and the staff don't seem particularly concerned about patient care. Additionally, there are frequent delays in resolving matters, and problems often arise during the process. I'm considering switching to a different surgery.

Excellent experience! I have received wonderful care and support from the team at this practice. The front desk staff are courteous and accommodating, the clinical nurses have been outstanding, and the clinicians have demonstrated thoroughness, professionalism and provided me with high-quality care. I cannot find any issues with this practice. The team members are courteous and supportive. I contacted them a short while ago to arrange an appointment for a family member, and a clinician promptly returned the call and arranged the necessary care. Prescription phone line timing doesn't work for everyone

I feel the prescription request phone line hours are quite restrictive, as I work throughout the week and the practice isn't open at weekends. When I called just before the line closed, there was already a significant queue ahead of me. I think this system could really benefit from being reviewed.

VERY DISAPPOINTING!! The practice failed to provide adequate support during a critical period and required repeated requests before assistance was offered. An appointment was cancelled without advance warning. A reminder notification arrived the day before, only for the visit to be refused upon arrival.

Long waits with no updates left us frustrated

I was quite dissatisfied with the experience my family and I had during our recent visit for vaccinations. The clinical staff seemed to prioritise casual conversation over respecting patients' time, and I felt that the significant effort required to attend the appointment was not adequately acknowledged. The lengthy wait without any updates about delays was frustrating, particularly given that we had made considerable adjustments to our schedules to be there. Unfortunately, this experience has left my children feeling anxious about future healthcare visits.

Staff gave conflicting information about test results

AVOID THIS PRACTICE The team members appear unmotivated and unconcerned, showing little genuine interest in patient care. There seem to be significant communication breakdowns and no clear systems in place to resolve issues. I attended an out-of-hours facility for an ECG and blood tests, which was not this practice's responsibility. However, when I returned for a follow-up appointment, there was confusion regarding my test results. I was initially told new blood samples were needed because the previous ones had been misplaced, but upon arrival, the staff located them, making new samples unnecessary. There appeared to be poor coordination between clinical staff regarding what information had been communicated. During my second ECG, I was informed that my blood samples had not been uploaded to the system, and this was corrected at that time. I was advised to call on a specific date to obtain results, but when I phoned on a later date, I was told to ring back after a certain time as the relevant team were only available then. On my next call, I was informed the results still had not been uploaded and was given another timeframe to call back. When I finally followed up, I learned my blood work was still being processed at another facility due to a backlog, and my ECG was awaiting review from a clinician who would not be available for several days. I requested a callback once information became available, given the extended waiting period, but was instead offered an appointment several weeks away merely to receive the results. This experience has been deeply frustrating and reflects poorly on the practice's efficiency and responsiveness.

Couldn't find answers for chest pain concerns

Unsatisfactory experience with the service provided. I am considering switching to a different practice as my concerns were not adequately addressed. I consulted with multiple clinicians at the surgery, however none of them seemed to investigate the underlying cause of my recurring chest discomfort. The only assessment I received was a blood pressure measurement, and during this process I noticed inconsistencies when the reading was taken on two separate monitors.

Practice forgot about me after registration

Having experienced multiple general practices throughout my time as a patient, I can confidently state that this particular practice represents the poorest standard of care I have encountered. The approach demonstrated falls significantly short of what I would expect from an NHS service, characterised by what I perceive as inadequate attention to patient needs and a lack of genuine care. There are two alternative practices located within the same health centre that I would consider far superior options. If you're prepared to endure an extended waiting period to join this practice only to feel overlooked once registered, then by all means proceed. However, I would strongly encourage prospective patients to explore the other available practices instead. These alternatives are also more conveniently positioned within the building. I'm confident you would find the experience considerably more satisfactory.

There's a particular clinician at this practice who seems disengaged and unwilling to be present during consultations. The approach comes across as dismissive and there's a sense that concerns aren't being properly heard. I've encountered firm practitioners before, but they've always maintained professional listening skills, which wasn't the case here—quite disappointing overall. By contrast, I saw another clinician afterwards who was genuinely pleasant and supportive, taking time to discuss various options and approaches beyond just pharmaceutical solutions.

Unclear callback timing and dismissive phone manner

I attended an appointment to discuss concerns about my child. The receptionist was unable to provide a specific timeframe for when I would receive a callback. When the clinician eventually called several days later, they did not initially identify which practice they were calling from. I found their manner to be quite abrupt and they appeared unwilling to address my reasonable concerns. The conversation became tense when they questioned whether I was attending multiple appointments elsewhere. I feel disappointed about having booked this appointment to discuss my child's care and would not encourage others to use this service based on my experience.
