This establishment deserves zero stars, if that were possible. I emphatically urge EVERYONE to steer clear of registering or continuing treatment at this medical practice! The personnel are discourteous and completely unhelpful. Scheduling an appointment is practically impossible. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY.

Worst medical care ever avoid this terrible surgery

If I could give zero rating, I absolutely would. This medical practice (and I use that term loosely) is shockingly negligent, with most reception staff displaying appalling attitudes. I have a critical, time-sensitive medical concern and after consulting the GP nearly three weeks ago, I was assured he would submit a referral and advised to contact the health secretary in a week while he was on vacation. Since then, I've been consistently dismissed, repeatedly transferred to her line only to hear she's either ill, on leave, or both. I've been abruptly hung up on and told my issue wasn't significant before I could even explain my situation. Despite emphasizing the urgency, I was promised a callback today which never materialized. I was ultimately forced to independently contact multiple hospital departments before finding someone willing to assist me. Anyone valuing their health should definitely avoid this practice, as you'll essentially be abandoned to suffer. Moreover, last year my one-year-old was extremely unwell, continuously vomiting, screaming in distress, and visibly miserable. After calling 111, who promised an emergency referral to my GP, I contacted Purbeck and was told they don't handle emergency bookings. They even falsely claimed no referral was received. When we re-contacted 111, they confirmed the surgery was lying and threatened to report them for negligence due to their duty of care. Only then did they hastily schedule an appointment - for the following day. Absolutely dreadful establishment.

Devastating medical misdiagnosis destroyed my mental health

My encounter has been dreadful. I've been a patient at this clinic throughout my entire life. In April, I experienced a slight discomfort in my chest/heart region. Having previously noticed unusual heart rhythms, I underwent an ECG at the practice. During a call from my GP (whose name I wish I could reveal), he first questioned why I had the ECG (despite being my father's doctor and knowing my father's inherited heart condition), then proceeded to suggest, without being a cardiologist, that I might have an enlarged heart and angina!!!!! This declaration plunged me into a fear spiral that I'm still struggling to overcome mentally. Since that phone call (which wasn't even face-to-face), I've endured a complete mental, physical, and emotional breakdown. I visited the emergency room 5-6 times, underwent approximately 5 ECGs, had chest x-rays, booked a private MRI costing thousands, spent hundreds on private blood tests, and consulted a private cardiologist. My mental suffering was so intense that I hit rock bottom, feeling utterly hopeless. I'm still recovering from this episode and have contemplated the worst. Nine months later, my family and I have been through absolute hell. This practice demonstrates zero understanding of mental health; I've visited two crisis centers because I couldn't cope. The NHS and MIND have never reached out for additional support. They're only interested in survey responses to improve their system. This all originated from a misdiagnosed phone call. It's been the worst period of my life, and I'm still trying to heal. If possible, I would pursue legal action.

Terrible service and unhelpful medical staff

Stantonbury medical practice is absolutely terrible. The physicians refuse to see patients at their discretion. Booking an appointment is virtually impossible. It's extremely challenging to consult a doctor nowadays. I'm attempting to address my health concerns, but the medical staff appears unwilling to assist. The doctors seem completely incompetent and clearly lack proper knowledge. They desperately need additional training or should consider returning to medical school to relearn basic professional skills.

Terrible service left me deaf and desperate

Terrible experience! I've encountered numerous problems with this medical practice over time! I reached out to schedule a GP consultation today following my ruptured eardrum! As a healthcare professional myself, I'd already been examined and diagnosed with the condition but needed to contact my doctor for treatment! They categorically rejected booking an appointment, stating they no longer provide that service! They insisted that if I couldn't phone precisely at 8am to access their same-day call service (which is completely impractical for someone who is now totally deaf!), my only alternative was the hospital. I've been languishing in urgent care for 6 excruciating hours because my doctor's practice refuses to see patients! Their entire purpose seems utterly pointless!

Terrible healthcare with rude and unhelpful staff

Subpar service across the board. The handful of glowing reviews seem suspiciously like they were written by employees. Purebeck fails to provide patients with respectful treatment. Every staff member requires customer service coaching, particularly the front desk personnel. Scheduling an in-person consultation is nearly impossible, and obtaining your medical records demands persistent effort. You're forced to squander an entire day waiting for a physician's call. Their attitude suggests they're doing you a favor by providing healthcare, despite being funded by public resources. Steer clear of this medical practice.

Terrible healthcare service with zero patient support

Complete nonsense, called at 8:13 only to be informed all appointments are booked, this has happened three consecutive days now. Apparently a physician is absent today, and that's supposedly why no slots are available - does this mean no other doctors exist? I was advised to use the walk-in clinic, but seriously? The teachers are on strike, so am I supposed to just abandon my daughter at home alone?

The receptionist today displayed a complete lack of empathy. Her demeanor was incredibly harsh and uncaring - definitely not suited for a customer-facing position. I've since switched to a different medical practice, and they were able to schedule me an immediate appointment when I called.

Rude staff and poor communication at practice

One receptionist is extremely rude and unhelpful, failing to communicate effectively with patients and doctors about changes in rules regarding my illness. My doctor didn't even inform me, but the pain consultant did. Instead of leaving patients feeling abandoned and unsure about their care for two years, they should improve communication and provide better understanding. They come across as heartless and uncaring, and could benefit from a course in bedside manners. After filing a complaint against the doctor, I was removed from their practice and told to go to a different one, despite them signing a form to keep me five years earlier. If you want to be gaslighted, this is the perfect doctors' office for you. Four years ago, I was told my neck tumor was the same as others recently discovered, but this was proven incorrect after registering with another practice - demonstrating how utterly useless they are.

Worst medical service ever experienced by patient

CIRCUS-LEVEL CUSTOMER SERVICE at its finest. Ring them at 8 AM to schedule an appointment, endure 700 calls, and an hour later they casually mention zero availability. Even when they do book you in, it's not the doctor but a nurse who follows up. Despite suffering from debilitating back pain for over 10 weeks, they didn't consider it serious enough for an MRI, waiting until I was practically immobilized before taking action. I strongly advise steering clear of this BTEC surgical practice. Someone needs to intervene and completely overhaul their incompetent operation.
