Terrible medical service leaving patients in pain

This medical practice is completely ineffective. Scheduling a morning appointment is practically impossible, and even when I manage to contact them, they never return my calls. It's become incredibly challenging to secure any consultations whatsoever. As someone living with a disability and chronic pain, I'm essentially left to manage my health challenges independently. Prior to the pandemic, I never encountered such difficulties, but now the situation has become absurd. Their explanation that the only change is closed doors is inadequate. Previously, I could easily book appointments in advance, but now you're required to wait for a callback, which is incredibly frustrating and nearly unachievable. My recommendation is to avoid registering with this practice entirely - they are completely unhelpful and incompetent 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Terrible service and rude staff at this gp clinic

Everyone agrees this place is absolutely repulsive. The staff treat you like you're worthless, exuding a disgusting attitude. They instruct you to call at 8am, but then take the phones off the hook 😒 I made 80 phone attempts, and when I finally got through at 8:19, they immediately suggested walking in because no appointments were available. You can't even book an appointment during the day or at any other time - you're forced to desperately try reaching them at 8am, knowing they'll likely have the phones off the hook, leaving you with a constant busy signal. HANDS DOWN THE WORST GP IN MILTON KEYNES. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE LEAVING AND FINDING ANOTHER PRACTICE WITH STAFF WHO ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS AND ENJOY THEIR WORK. It's worth noting the manager is still working remotely, which clearly explains why there's absolutely no oversight managing the complete chaos happening inside this GP practice.

Terrible gp practice with awful service and mistakes

A truly dreadful medical practice with staff that lack basic professionalism and compassion. Getting an appointment here is practically impossible - the 8am booking system is a complete nightmare. When you call, you'll either encounter a dead silent answering machine, get abruptly disconnected, or receive no response at all. On the rare occasion you actually get through, you'll hear the infuriating response: 'No appointments today, try again tomorrow at 8am.' There's absolutely no option to book ahead, just a frustrating daily lottery for medical access. Even worse, I experienced a shocking breach of patient confidentiality. My prescription was mistakenly given to a random individual who then showed up at my elderly grandmother's home, claiming to be a nurse and interrogating her about her medication. When we confronted the practice about this serious violation, their dismissive response was 'no harm was done, so it's fine' - as if a data breach is somehow acceptable. This surgery was subpar before the pandemic, but they've truly excelled at exploiting COVID-19 to deliver an even more abysmal service at Purbeck Health Centre.

Worst medical care ever for cancer patient

I'm penning this review on behalf of my partner, who is battling cancer. The process of scheduling an appointment involves persistently dialing an eternally engaged phone line starting at 8am. After finally getting through around 9:30am, she was informed that a doctor would contact her via phone at an unspecified time, with only a single attempt to reach her. The most callous general practitioner dismissively told my partner he was unwilling to continue her cancer treatment, bluntly stating "I don't have time for that" and "you have too many problems". This occurred despite her taking merely 6 minutes of his time. Absolutely do not choose this medical practice

Fantastic medical practice with caring and supportive staff

I've been a patient at this practice for a quarter of a century, and it's truly exceptional. The reception team is consistently warm and supportive, maintaining remarkable composure even when faced with incredibly challenging interactions. They absolutely deserve high praise. Throughout the years, I've had wonderful experiences with the doctors - while I've had personal favorites, I've never felt concerned about seeing any physician. There was one brief incident with a locum about five years back who wasn't thorough in reviewing my medical history, but that was quickly addressed. The secretarial staff are equally delightful. I've attempted to engage with the current practice manager, but they seem to maintain a less accessible approach compared to the previous manager, Harry, who was wonderfully approachable. I have no significant criticisms. Like many medical practices, reaching them by phone at 8am can be tricky, but patience pays off. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to the entire team - you're doing an outstanding job, and I genuinely sympathize with the challenging interactions you must endure from difficult patients. Your compensation certainly doesn't match the stress you manage!

Worst surgery experience ever terrible customer service

Absolutely the most terrible medical practice I've ever encountered. The customer service was far worse than a French doctor's office where no English was spoken. It's evident that the receptionist despises their job and life, which is painfully apparent in their treatment of patients. I confronted two staff members, stating, "It seems none of the receptionists care about patients," to which I received a dismissive "ye" response. The staff member quickly realized her mistake and attempted to backtrack, claiming, "If that's what you think. All receptionists are part-time." I am completely devastated and more hurt than words can express. I needed critical information and was required to pay, with the practice being quick to take my money but incredibly slow to fulfill my request. My mortgage and family's livelihood depend on receiving this letter, which I've already paid for. The service and system here are absolutely deplorable. I'm constantly told to call back next week for an appointment, only to be told I can't get one and should ring back tomorrow. I'm thoroughly fed up with this surgery's practices. I will be filing a formal complaint with the NHS and ombudsman, as this level of rudeness is completely unacceptable. The doctors and nurses I've met seem polite, kind, and professional - it's solely the front-of-house staff that are problematic. Truly wicked people.
