Extremely frustrated, disappointed

Honestly I had great expectations about this Medical practice. people avoided giving their honest opinion. I found the receptionist lack telephones manners ( not all of course ) after seeing 3 GP none took me seriously one stated if you a second condition you must make a second appointment. Went 3 times for the same condition nothing was archived ... takes many days to make an appointment. by the time I get one appointment I have to continue with my second condition for about a month. I must state just one Lady was kind and concern about my condition she was not a GP she made tings easier she was very kind ... I think Two GP look tired, bored .. it feels like I have to speak very fast is like counting 10 minutes for each patient and very little was archived. I wish i could know the names of the receptionists so I will tell which ones are the stroppy ones or the one with a bad attitude... the other ladies are sweet and smile which is delightful to see pleasant workers.

Forgotten appointment despite arriving early

I attended an appointment scheduled for mid-afternoon and arrived approximately fifteen minutes early, as is my usual practice. The receptionist directed me to the appropriate waiting area. However, I remained waiting well beyond my appointment time. I observed several patients who arrived after me being called through ahead of me. I stayed in the waiting area throughout, concerned about missing my name being called. After an extended wait of around two hours, a member of staff approached me at the desk. I was informed that I had been marked as a non-attendee, and an apology was offered with an explanation that the practice had been experiencing computer system difficulties. I expressed my view that this seemed unlikely to be a technical issue, given that I had clearly observed approximately seven to ten patients who arrived after me being seen before me, which suggested a human error rather than a system malfunction. I was asked to rebook for the following day. I declined this, explaining that I work early mornings and would not be able to return. I asked whether the clinician could see me before the end of their shift, which was imminent. The clinician agreed to see me, which I felt resolved the situation.

Racist employee ruins otherwise great medical service

Hello, I've encountered an unsatisfactory interaction with one of your staff members, whose name I'm unaware of as she isn't listed on the employee board. She's a young blonde woman who displays a notably discriminatory demeanor towards asylum seekers. Her behavior is consistently unhelpful, arrogant, and dismissive - she provides minimal responses when spoken to and never offers a smile. In stark contrast, her attitude completely transforms when interacting with English clients. This isn't just my observation; my father experienced similar treatment when he tried to submit a letter explaining his medical condition to help schedule an appointment. Upon receiving the letter, she carelessly tossed it onto her desk without even glancing at it, resulting in its subsequent loss and forcing him to obtain a replacement. While the rest of your team is exceptionally friendly and supportive during any challenges, this particular employee's discriminatory attitude stands out as a significant concern.

Wasted day off for unnecessary medical appointment

I scheduled my daughter's 3-year vaccinations through the reception desk, knowing they were due at this age. Despite the receptionist asking for my daughter's date of birth, I arrived today after taking a day off work, only to be informed that my daughter is a month early and they cannot give the injections today. I will need to book another appointment in a month's time. This is completely unacceptable for a medical practice.

Terrible medical care that could have cost me toes

I would gladly award a lower rating due to the immense emotional strain this surgical experience inflicted, but the circumstances prevent me from doing so. Seeking medical care here is futile. While the reception staff are pleasant, the doctors and nurse practitioners display a shocking lack of empathy. In January, following a GP consultation, I was prescribed incorrect medication. Upon returning with no improvement, a different GP declared the initial prescription was wrong. They provided alternative medication. After two days and my condition worsening, I went to A&E and was hospitalized for five nights. At each stage, medical staff confirmed the GP's initial approach was incorrect. I should have been referred to podiatry during the first visit, and subsequently sent to hospital. Had I continued following their initial guidance, I risked losing my toes or feet. Post-hospital admission, when I contacted the GP about medication sensitivity, they casually suggested I no longer needed medication, having completed a treatment course, without even examining me. This was contrary to my hospital discharge plan. This medical practice seems to needlessly escalate medical conditions, giving the impression that contemporary doctors have become completely indifferent to patient welfare.

Utterly appalling medical procedure and a litany of mistakes they carelessly dismiss. Patients are merely viewed as financial resources. It's incomprehensible how these primary care clinics are permitted to operate so recklessly. What's truly laughable is their social media presence, which exclusively highlights positive testimonials. Why would they boast about a pathetic 2.3 rating? Their Facebook page selectively showcases glowing reviews while desperately soliciting more. No, you won't be extracting additional funds from me. Get your act together. Chasing revenue is not the solution. I am absolutely furious.

Worst customer service ever absolute nightmare

The customer service department is absolutely abysmal and shows zero commitment to helping anyone. They consistently demonstrate a complete lack of availability, making it impossible to schedule even the simplest appointment. I've personally made multiple phone calls - up to five attempts - just trying to secure a consultation with my primary care physician, and each time I'm met with the same infuriating response that no slots are open. The entire situation is utterly absurd and completely unacceptable!!!

Misdiagnosed pregnant patient suffers needlessly

At over 30 weeks pregnant, I developed a nagging, persistent cough that intensified when I lay down. With no other apparent symptoms, I sought medical guidance at Quayside Medical Practice. The healthcare practitioner (not a physician) diagnosed it as acid reflux and recommended Gaviscon. Disappointingly, no doctor appointments were available that day or in the weeks ahead. After several days of medication, my cough escalated dramatically, making sleep and eating impossible. My throat became increasingly raw, and the coughing fits grew uncontrollable. Returning to the clinic, I was again seen by the same practitioner, with no doctor available. Emotionally overwhelmed, I tearfully described how the constant coughing was destroying my ability to function normally. The practitioner suggested maintaining resilience and continuing with Gaviscon and painkillers. Despite following this advice, my condition continued to deteriorate rapidly. Eventually, the lung and throat pain, coupled with relentless coughing, became unbearable. A trip to A&E revealed a chest infection via X-ray, and I was prescribed antibiotics. After completing the initial course, my symptoms worsened, with excruciating lung pain persisting. A subsequent A&E visit resulted in stronger antibiotics and morphine for the intense pain, which stemmed from a rib fracture caused by excessive coughing. Following the second antibiotic course, my condition finally began improving. Reflecting on this experience, I believe Quayside Medical Practice grossly mishandled my case. While pregnant, I was denied proper medical evaluation, and my symptoms were essentially ignored, causing significant treatment delays. This ordeal has underscored the critical importance of seeking emergency care for severe symptoms rather than relying solely on clinic advice. The entire experience was emotionally and physically traumatic, disrupting my family life and prolonging my recovery.

Incompetent office with zero customer communication skills

The phone system's operating hours are completely inaccurate, and I've been attempting to reach the secretaries regarding a referral that's been pending for months. They consistently ignore incoming calls, and despite sending a text, I'm left without any confirmation because they're too timid to engage in direct conversation. I can't afford to waste my workday waiting on hold. Their service is abysmal, run by individuals who show zero concern. On the rare occasions they actually answer, their attitude suggests they're doing you an immense favor. Any legitimate business operating with such unprofessional conduct would undoubtedly collapse within half a year. It's an absolute organizational disaster.

Terrible service and endless appointment scheduling nightmare

I'm repeatedly experiencing appointment cancellations, where they simply dispatch a text message and instruct me to reach out to them. Whenever I attempt to call, I'm consistently stuck in an extensive waiting line. It would significantly improve their customer service if they proactively contacted me to reschedule another appointment. The entire process is incredibly exasperating when trying to arrange a new meeting.

Absolutely frustrating! Twice I was given automated scheduling for my daughter's immunizations, and on both instances, upon arrival, I was informed that the appointments were mistakenly generated and not actually necessary.
