Patient feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges that overshadow some positive clinical experiences. Appointment access remains the most pressing concern, with patients reporting lengthy phone wait times, unavailable slots despite calling at recommended times, and booking system failures across both telephone and app-based methods. Reception experience is polarised, with some patients praising courteous and welcoming staff while others describe disrespectful, dismissive, and unhelpful interactions that leave patients feeling anxious about contacting the practice. Communication breakdowns are evident throughout feedback, including missed callbacks, unclear information about procedures, and poor coordination between different service areas.
Where patients successfully access care, clinical staff and medical professionals receive consistent praise for compassion, competence, and thorough examination. However, systemic issues with appointment scheduling, care coordination, and administrative responsiveness create barriers that prevent many patients from receiving timely treatment. Several patients report being redirected to alternative services or emergency departments due to inability to secure appointments, and some describe experiencing delayed referrals and inadequate follow-up on test results. The practice appears to struggle with managing demand, resulting in a service experience that feels fragmented and unresponsive to patient needs.
Long-standing patients note a deterioration in service quality over recent years, particularly following changes to booking systems and management. While some patients report success with same-day appointment access through calling at specific times or using the app, many others describe these methods as unreliable and frustrating. The disconnect between positive clinical care and poor accessibility creates an overall impression of a practice with capable medical staff constrained by administrative dysfunction.

ExcellentFabulous Practice
I’ve been coming here for 25 years and think it’s great. If you call at 9am you can get a same day appointment - a system that has never failed me. I’ve made one today at 9- saw a doctor at 11:20. Staff are great and have never had a bad experience with them.

Compassionate doctor makes medical visit stress-free
My visit today was outstanding. Dr. Shabbir demonstrated remarkable compassion and expertise, engaging with my daughter in an incredibly gentle and empathetic manner. Her demeanor put us at ease, and the consultation proved immensely beneficial and reassuring. I am deeply thankful for the exceptional treatment we experienced. The front desk staff was equally accommodating, which we genuinely valued.

Awful healthcare experience at this terrible surgery
They claim if you ring at 8 AM, you'll never connect, and securing an appointment is impossible. The personnel are extremely discourteous, consistently unhelpful, and perpetually unresponsive to phone calls. This is undoubtedly the most dreadful medical practice in London, with staff seemingly more interested in idle chatter than serving patients. I'm desperate to speak with the manager about these appalling conditions.

Terrible customer service from disrespectful representative
It's hardly shocking that issues arise with employees like Maisie managing customer grievances. The staff needs training on proper communication and respect — she clearly lacks the necessary interpersonal skills and seems to believe she has all the answers.

Convenient and compassionate healthcare at my fingertips
I've successfully booked same-day in-person consultations through the app when urgent, and phone appointments when more convenient. The reception staff are helpful and professional. Although my appointment started slightly behind schedule, I recognize this is typical given current NHS constraints. The consultation with the doctor was excellent. Being able to complete blood work and other diagnostic tests within the surgery, rather than being referred to external providers, is a significant advantage. This approach feels more comprehensive and gives me greater confidence in my healthcare.

Shocking medical error nearly ruined my life
Received a lab report from this facility indicating a hepatitis POSITIVE result! Immediately sought verification from alternative medical centers and was incredibly relieved to learn I was actually NEGATIVE!! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY EXPLAIN SUCH A MASSIVE ERROR?? I sincerely hope they improve their diagnostic procedures and prevent potentially traumatic misdiagnoses for other patients.

Incompetent care and unprofessional medical staff
Absolutely dreadful experience. I detailed my health concerns through the app, indicating I'd be fine with a phone consultation, yet was scheduled for an in-person visit that required taking time off work. The doctor didn't even conduct a proper examination. They claimed they "don't perform" the specific test I needed and suggested over-the-counter medication—despite my GP family member confirming the test is NHS-available and appropriate in this case. I had to persistently request testing, and when provided a generic sample kit, my family member verified it wasn't the correct test. The doctor was entirely dismissive and provided no meaningful explanation, despite personally calling me in for this appointment. I repeatedly questioned the receptionist about the test's availability, and she consistently denied it, which I found completely unbelievable. Upon returning home, they contacted me saying the correct test was actually obtainable. When I went back, the receptionist wordlessly handed me the sample without any acknowledgment of the inconvenience, then aggressively shouted "YOU'RE WELCOME" as I departed. Fundamentally, the doctor was incompetent. The entire consultation was worthless. Without my family member's medical knowledge and advocacy, I would never have received appropriate testing. The practice demonstrated extremely unprofessional behavior, shocking staff conduct, and a total disregard for patient care. I will absolutely be changing healthcare providers.

Incompetent doctors wasting my time and health
I arrived with an urgent referral from another city's emergency department. This general practitioner delayed my hospital referral by a full month - absolutely ridiculous. I personally visited their office to request an immediate referral, yet they still directed me back to the emergency room and then suggested another hospital entirely. Their communication is fundamentally non-existent. Essentially, they operate with an extremely ineffective and poorly organized system.

Friendly staff can't make up for subpar medical care
The reception staff are excellent, but the clinical care falls short - my encounters over the past twelve months have been inconsistent and generally unsatisfactory. Notable low points include a GP who became frustrated with me for scheduling an appointment (which the reception team had advised after an abnormal test result, something she had overlooked) and the same doctor's dismissive attitude when I attempted to discuss a return-to-work strategy following an injury (her approach was to simply sign me off completely, as she deemed it more convenient.) It seems that at this practice, patients must be prepared to actively champion their own healthcare needs, which is precisely the opposite of what someone should have to do when they're unwell.

Terrible service and poor communication at surgery
I signed up with this medical practice and booked my initial appointment. I was informed the physician would return my call sometime during the day! By 2pm, I discovered the clinic was shut from 1pm-4pm for staff training - information I was never previously advised about! I personally visited the surgery, and the staff appeared clueless about why the doctor hadn't contacted me. They refused to see me and instructed me to return the following day! The result? I've transferred my registration elsewhere!!!! All existing reviews for this practice are negative! That says everything.

Inconsistent care puts patients health at serious risk
Every visit means encountering a different physician, preventing any meaningful patient-doctor connection and resulting in a lack of comprehensive understanding of my medical concerns. The care feels fragmented and impersonal. Recently, I underwent a blood test with abnormal results, and when I requested a follow-up test to confirm, the findings remained unchanged. Despite this, I was instructed to wait another week for a consultation. This delay is particularly distressing given my asthma history - the last time I experienced similar symptoms and test results, I suffered a severe asthma attack that required hospitalization. This serious medical incident could have been prevented if the medical practice had been more proactive in reviewing my results and considering my prior health records.

Smooth service with friendly staff at local gp
The procedure was straightforward and extremely welcoming. A special thanks to Ms. Belgrave. The only slight drawback was some individuals using their phones in the waiting room. Overall, the staff at this medical practice are friendly and accommodating.

Compassionate doctors let down by terrible admin system
The medical staff at Queens Road Surgery are exceptional and consistently demonstrate extraordinary dedication. However, their administrative team and appointment scheduling are utterly inadequate. This poor management was so significant that a referral team and physician from Kings College Hospital formally documented substandard care. The situation deteriorated further after replacing their appointment app from doctor IQ with Evergreen. I would willingly endure lengthy wait times to secure an appointment, but their system actively prevents such patience. Parents seeking urgent medical attention for their children should be prepared for an administrative approach that prioritizes bureaucratic processes over the immediate healthcare needs of their child.

Frustrating and unhelpful healthcare service experience
Struggling to secure a GP consultation. Despite utilizing the digital platform and online registration, the process involves excessive, redundant steps that frustrate patients who simply want medical attention when they're feeling unwell. It's the clinic's duty to provide care and prevent unnecessary emergency room visits. On one occasion, during their stated operating hours, I arrived for a scheduled appointment only to be informed that the GP had already departed. How can a healthcare professional leave during their designated work time? This service requires significant improvement. Patients are seeking understanding and collaboration, and compassion should be a fundamental aspect of healthcare delivery.

Worst medical experience ever with incompetent staff
If I could assign a rating lower than one star, I would, as this medical practice is utterly deplorable. The constant staff turnover speaks volumes about their dysfunction. After being a patient for 36 years, I've finally decided it's time to seek alternative care. These doctors are incompetent beyond belief. I strongly advise requesting appointment notes, as they consistently fail to follow through on documented plans. During today's visit with my 3-year-old, I had to prompt them to check her temperature, only to be told, "I don't have a thermometer; someone just took mine." When I asked if they could obtain one, their response was lackluster. The urine sample collection was another logistical nightmare, and the so-called "examination" consisted of the doctor merely glancing at my daughter from across the room. Any questions I posed were met with looks suggesting I should have medical expertise. Requesting appointment notes took an additional 20-25 minutes and were riddled with inaccuracies. When I asked reception to clarify why the doctor documented actions she never performed, I was redirected to Dr. Kumar, who wasn't even present. In summary, I wasted over an hour in this medical wasteland, receiving absolutely no meaningful care for my daughter. Rest assured, I will be pursuing this matter further.

Terrible service and unprofessional healthcare staff nightmare
The service here is absolutely abysmal, with phone calls consistently going unanswered. I'm baffled as to why the top NHS administrative leadership isn't stepping in to address these issues. The attention to patient care is deplorable, and it seems the staff have no genuine commitment to their professional responsibilities.

Great service and friendly medical team
What a delightful medical practice. The reception staff are incredibly attentive and supportive, which truly enhances the patient experience - something that sadly isn't standard across all general practitioner offices.

Terrible medical practice that fails patient care
I'm certain this medical practice lacks any general practitioners. They've eliminated their GP staff ages ago and recruited a group of inexperienced youngsters whose sole purpose seems to be redirecting patients through an endless maze of non-existent appointment scheduling until patients presumably succumb to undetected serious illnesses. "Now this system requires another application, so navigate to the app store and..." - Absolutely, keep deflecting responsibility onto another anonymous entity instead of acknowledging your own profound ineptitude and the devastating human cost of your failures. I wouldn't be shocked if they monitor these critiques and prevent certain individuals from accessing care - though I suppose such retaliation would be inconsequential given their current level of dysfunction.
