Terrible practice with one saving grace doctor

As a family caregiver for my grandmother, I've gained direct insight into this medical practice's operations. Disregard the glowing 4 and 5-star reviews, which I suspect are fabricated by staff or their relatives. I'm awarding just 2 stars, and those are solely due to two redeeming individuals. Dr Gill is an exceptional physician who genuinely listens and comprehends patient concerns, while one particular nurse demonstrates remarkable dedication. Conversely, the reception staff, and especially Dr Henderson, are utterly unprofessional. Dr Henderson, in my opinion, represents everything wrong with modern healthcare - she appears more interested in her professional status than patient care. Her approach is so dismissive that she'd rather redirect patients to a pharmacist than perform her basic medical responsibilities. Her conduct is so poor that I believe she entered medicine for prestige rather than genuine compassion. She embodies precisely the type of healthcare professional patients should avoid, demonstrating a shocking lack of empathy and professional commitment.

Fantastic healthcare experience at queens road surgery

My in-person consultation went smoothly. I was dealing with a medical issue and got an immediate same-day appointment. The receptionist was incredibly understanding and welcoming. The doctor was extremely kind and thoroughly supportive. Wonderful staff overall. I truly appreciate all the assistance I received. Queens Road Surgery - This is a fantastic healthcare practice. 🙂👍

Horrible customer service at medical practice nightmare

The receptionist at this GP practice is absolutely appalling and represents the lowest standard of customer service imaginable! They look down on patients like we're insignificant insects!! It's impossible to directly communicate with the doctor or even get a proper conversation going over the phone!!! Each time I try to discuss my concerns, I'm met with dismissive statements like "the doctor recommends you do XYZ and return" - as if they can speak authoritatively on the doctor's behalf, which is utterly unacceptable. Someone who is unwell simply lacks the strength to jump through these ridiculous hoops!! I was so frustrated that I didn't even want to give a single star rating, but the review platform forced me to do so.

Dangerous statins destroyed my health and life

They prescribed me the highest statin dosage for two years without monitoring my condition, which devastated my health. I lost muscle mass and dropped three stone in weight, nearly dying in the process. I was urgently referred to a cardiologist at Glenfield, where they discovered the statins were destroying my heart muscle and causing kidney damage, which has now ruined my back, leaving me without support. Their apology of "sorry" is completely inadequate. This is blatant medical negligence that has entirely transformed my life, and in hindsight, I should have pursued legal action. As an update, I'm now disabled, struggling with chronic fatigue syndrome, ME, and fibromyalgia. My solicitor has revealed that all my medical records were falsified and deliberately altered to protect the medical professionals from their gross misconduct.

The front desk staff member, Safiya Sheikh, was absolutely DISGRACEFUL. Having professional experience within the NHS myself, I am deeply shocked by her disrespectful demeanor towards patients. Individuals displaying such a hostile and unprofessional approach have no business working in healthcare. This medical practice urgently needs to reassess their hiring practices if they genuinely aim to deliver patient-focused care. To avoid the frustration of interacting with SAFIYA SHEIKH, I strongly recommend seeking medical registration at an alternative general practice.

Rude receptionist ruins first impressions at gp

I attempted to register at the local surgery as a newcomer, and the elderly receptionist Safiya was hands-down the most discourteous staff member I've ever encountered. When I inadvertently had earbuds in while requesting a registration form, she reprimanded me, which I could somewhat understand. However, her subsequent behavior was appalling. Clearly irritated by my unfamiliarity with the area, she provided zero assistance. Despite wearing a face mask due to the ongoing pandemic, I was instructed to speak louder, yet she remained unhelpful and displayed an aggressive demeanor. The encounter was so distressing that I ultimately left the medical practice in tears, only to be comforted by a compassionate patient who witnessed the entire uncomfortable interaction and kindly recommended alternative local GP practices. Her unprofessional conduct is unacceptable. I felt deeply embarrassed for her colleague, who visibly squirmed during the exchange. Healthcare workers should possess basic empathy and patience, especially when assisting vulnerable individuals seeking medical support.

If possible, I would assign zero stars to this experience. The receptionist, whose name was either Sabina or Safiya Sheikh, was extremely rude.
