Reception staff made me feel unwelcome

I have consistently experienced difficulties at this practice. My visits leave me feeling anxious and stressed before I even arrive. The reception team comes across as unwelcoming, and their demeanor makes me feel as though I've done something wrong. When I asked for a straightforward administrative letter for verification purposes, there were errors in how my details were recorded. Having to request a corrected version proved frustrating, as what should have been a simple correction became unnecessarily complicated.

Receptionist unhelpful, prescription delays frustrating

Worst surgery in the area The receptionist was quite unhelpful. I've been waiting over a day for a prescription to be authorised, and was told I need to wait until the clinician finishes their current commitments. I had called the day before requesting urgent assistance, so I've now been waiting an extended period. I'm currently unable to move around due to significant back discomfort and am largely confined to bed.

Two hour wait on phone queue

I had a very poor experience. I called in the morning before 8:30am requesting a prescription. I was instructed to call back after 3pm. When I dialed at 2:55pm, I experienced an extremely long wait time of approximately 2 hours, and there were several people ahead of me in the queue. Upon finally getting through, I was informed that the callback window had closed and it was now too late. The extended wait with multiple callers ahead made this process very frustrating. I was unable to obtain the prescription I needed. I had been managing over the weekend, but given my discomfort, I required the prescription as the medication is ineffective without it. The pharmacist had specifically requested confirmation via phone call. When I sought further assistance, I was directed to call 111, who then redirected me back to the GP. This circular process felt entirely inadequate. This has been the most disappointing healthcare experience I have encountered.

I have had a positive experience with this practice over the past few years. The clinical staff have provided excellent care, and the administrative team have consistently been helpful and welcoming across all communication channels. Receptionist and doctors made us feel valued

Outstanding care and support provided to patients of all backgrounds. I have been attending this practice for over a decade and have consistently had positive experiences across every aspect of my care. The clinical staff and administrative team are both excellent. The practice is well-managed and demonstrates strong leadership. The environment is professional and compassionate. Multiple members of my family are registered here. The practice caters effectively to patients across all age groups, from young children through to older adults. I am very grateful for the service provided.

Disappointed with clinical advice given during appointment

Very disappointed. On Monday my husband had an appointment with a clinician. He had developed a viral infection which appeared on Thursday. The clinician assessed him and advised he could return to work the following day. This seemed inappropriate given that such infections are highly contagious and typically require isolation for at least 5-7 days to prevent transmission. I'm not medically trained, yet I'm aware of this guidance, which made the advice concerning. The practice itself is very nice and professional, which is why I'm so disappointed with the approach taken by some of the clinicians working there. One particular clinician stands out as providing excellent care and appropriate advice, which may explain why appointments with them are in high demand, but you can be confident of receiving proper care and guidance when you do see them.

Reception staff hung up during phone queue

The reception team's manner was unwelcoming. I waited as the first caller in the queue for approximately ten minutes, and then the call was unexpectedly disconnected. When I rang back, I found myself further down the queue. The staff member I eventually spoke with came across as quite abrupt and unhelpful.

Staff dismissive when trying to book appointment

I would rate this practice much lower if possible. I would advise against registering here. The team members were dismissive and unhelpful, and there were concerns about how personal information was handled. There appeared to be barriers created to prevent appointments from being scheduled.

Phone queue keeps cutting off mid-call

I have attempted to book same-day appointments on several occasions. The waiting times have been quite lengthy, and on multiple instances I have been disconnected just as I was about to speak with someone. This has been a recurring issue for me.

Phone queue chaos made emergency booking impossible

I attempted to book an urgent same-day appointment by calling at 8am upon opening. The receptionist advised me to ring back at 8:30, which seemed unusual given the practice had just opened. When I called back at 8:29, I found myself in a queue of 13 callers. After progressing to 5th in the queue, the call unexpectedly dropped. I redialled and was placed 6th in the queue, eventually connecting around 08:50am. The receptionist informed me that no morning slots were available. I explained that I had called at opening time as instructed and had experienced a disconnection. She responded in a disinterested manner, suggesting I call back at 3pm as there may be appointments available then. Due to this experience, I have decided to change practices and would encourage others considering this surgery to carefully reconsider whether it aligns with their needs.

Staff went the extra mile to help me

I have consistently received excellent service from this practice. The entire team demonstrates friendliness and genuine willingness to provide assistance whenever required. Although I experienced some initial concerns, the management addressed all of my issues promptly and effectively. I am very satisfied with the level of care provided and would gladly recommend this practice to anyone seeking medical services. The surgery is clearly well-organised with competent leadership and a well-trained team.
