Feedback across this file reveals a predominantly negative patient experience, with significant and persistent challenges affecting access to care. Appointment availability emerges as a critical concern, with patients reporting perpetually booked schedules, inability to secure timely slots, and dysfunctional online booking systems that display no available appointments. Difficulty accessing the practice by phone is widespread, with patients describing constantly engaged lines, unanswered calls, and disconnections during attempts to reach reception. Long waiting times feature prominently, both for appointments and in-person visits, with some patients reporting waits exceeding 45 minutes despite empty waiting areas.
Reception experience presents mixed findings. While some patients praise courteous and accommodating staff members, others describe dismissive, unhelpful, and disrespectful treatment, particularly from certain reception staff. Communication failures are evident across multiple service areas, including delayed prescription processing, missed test result notifications, and inadequate follow-up on referrals and clinical recommendations. Several patients report prescription delays lasting days or weeks, with incomplete prescriptions requiring multiple requests.
Positive experiences centre on specific healthcare professionals and individual staff members who demonstrate professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. A small number of patients report straightforward appointment booking and welcoming atmospheres. However, these positive accounts are substantially outweighed by concerns about organisation, responsiveness, and the consistency of service quality across the practice.

Poor!
Prescription service frustrates with slow and unreliable delivery
I secured a same-day appointment for my spouse when I called. For anyone planning ahead, I strongly advise submitting prescription requests at least two weeks prior. We were initially informed it would take 3 working days, but we ended up waiting a full week. Then we had to submit another request because only part of my husband's prescription was sent to the pharmacy. The entire process seems completely disorganized. The prescription service is frustratingly inefficient and appears incredibly careless. In the future, I'll definitely be requesting medications well in advance to ensure we receive our full prescription before running out and to allow time to follow up on any missing items. This level of service is absolutely unacceptable. What on earth is happening with their system?????

Unprofessional staff ignore patient during crucial appointment
I arrived for a midwife appointment, and the older woman at the middle window completely disregarded me while blatantly browsing Facebook. Despite my repeated greetings, she continued scrolling on her personal phone until I forcefully knocked on the wooden desk. Her neighboring colleague also signaled my presence, yet she persisted in ignoring me for an additional four minutes. Unprofessional, discourteous, and entirely unsuited to a role requiring customer interaction.

Terrible gp service leaving patient in constant pain
Without a doubt, this is the most incompetent GP practice I've ever encountered. I've been suffering from persistent aches and pains since July. After receiving absolutely no diagnostic support from my GP, I sought help at a private clinic. Following comprehensive tests and consultation, I was prescribed antibiotics, and the clinic forwarded detailed recommendations to my GP for additional tests and scans. Not a single response or communication from my GP. Since July, I've undergone 5 separate antibiotic courses prescribed by various medical professionals, including emergency doctors at Queen Elisabeth's hospital. Multiple healthcare providers - private clinics in the UK, Lithuania, and even their own NHS hospitals - have sent specific recommendations for tests and scans. These recommendations have been transmitted via multiple channels: email, postal mail, and hand-delivered. I've attended several appointments at Riverside Surgery, all of which have been completely unproductive. My health issues continue unresolved, antibiotics have proven ineffective, and I'm receiving zero meaningful assistance from my GP. I strongly advise anyone considering this practice to seriously reconsider and look elsewhere for medical care.

Terrible service and unacceptable wait times
This surgical practice is absolutely dreadful. During my initial visit, I endured a one-hour wait despite an empty waiting area, and on my second appointment, I was the sole patient yet still languished for 45 minutes!!! I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this facility at all costs!!! Their lack of consideration for patients is appalling, and they demonstrate zero professional respect...

Terrible service except for one compassionate doctor
Dr. Padiyar stands out as the sole professional in this entire medical practice. Every other staff member, including long-standing receptionists, represents the epitome of unprofessional and discourteous behavior I've ever encountered. Their unwarranted sense of self-importance is astounding. These medical professionals deserve to have their credentials revoked for their consistently inappropriate conduct. The three surgical practices in Erith have effectively merged into one monumentally incompetent healthcare network. Appointment availability is perpetually scarce, and the general practitioner routinely mismanages my wife's medication, which has tragically become our expected experience. Despite numerous complaints, they only address issues when formally escalated. The ultimate recourse is to seek treatment at A&E or Erith District Hospital after surgery hours. The local community of Erith continues to endure significant healthcare challenges due to the complete absence of a competent medical facility.

Terrible service nearly cost me my health
Completely revolting - I'm battling a chest infection and knew I required antibiotics. When I approached the reception, they were extremely unhelpful and dismissive. They refused to prescribe medication or arrange a doctor's consultation for three full days. This level of service is totally unacceptable. I urgently needed those antibiotics immediately.

Terrible medical care with unprofessional doctor's attitude
Appointment missed and call delayed on 11.04.2022 by 47 minutes (Dr/Ms Joy Victoria Williams - Pier Road Surgery) - The physicians demonstrate poor spelling skills and incorrectly document medical conditions on patient records. Doctors consistently fail to conduct thorough assessments, resulting in significant medical conditions being overlooked. During consultations, medical staff appear disinterested in patient experiences, frequently interrupting conversations, dismissing concerns, and attempting to terminate interactions prematurely. While the reception staff are generally courteous and supportive, the quality of service varies depending on individual staff members' attitudes and personal approaches. From my extensive experience as a long-term patient, Riverside Surgery - encompassing both Pier Road and Mill Road locations - urgently requires comprehensive systemic improvements to enhance patient care and professional standards.

Great!
Quick and smooth medical consultation experience
Having perused the existing feedback, I understand the challenges others have encountered. Thankfully, my two consultations proceeded without complications. It's worth noting that the general practitioners reached out to me, and this wasn't my typical medical practice. The sole minor inconvenience was a brief waiting period of 10-15 minutes before seeing the doctors, which didn't significantly disrupt my experience.

Frustrating prescription service fails elderly patients
My elderly father, who suffers from diabetes, is struggling with the new email-based prescription request system implemented by his general practitioner. The process is extremely complicated and user-unfriendly, particularly for older patients. Despite sending numerous emails, we consistently experience delays in receiving his essential medications. The medical practice already has all of his personal information stored, so theoretically, requesting his standard prescription should be straightforward. However, the reality is that I must invest significant time and effort every single week just to ensure he receives his necessary medicine. I strongly caution anyone against registering with this healthcare provider, primarily due to their unreliable and inefficient electronic prescription system that cannot be depended upon.

Terrible service and frustrating medical practice experience
The front desk staff are incredibly dismissive, acting as if patients are an inconvenience when calling. Scheduling appointments is particularly challenging, especially for families with infants. Their customer service has consistently deteriorated over the past three years. Communication is abysmal - test results are rarely communicated proactively, forcing patients to repeatedly follow up, and reaching someone by phone is an exhausting, all-day ordeal. The sole redeeming aspect of this medical practice is Dr. Padiya, who is genuinely kind and supportive.

Terrible service from unprofessional kay at reception
The staff here, particularly Kay at the front desk, display an appalling lack of professionalism and courtesy. It's unacceptable that she arbitrarily decides who can and cannot schedule an appointment based on her personal whims.

Absolute rock bottom experience that deserves no rating whatsoever. This product is so terrible that even the lowest possible score feels too generous.

Unprofessional care leaves patient feeling ignored and frustrated
The nursing staff seemed unprepared, looking up my condition on Google (which I could easily do myself). During my visit for face warts, they quickly diagnosed me with a fungal infection and prescribed treatment. I underwent a blood test two weeks ago after numerous phone calls due to a new allergy that concerned me, but nobody seemed to care. I only received my results after persistent calls, as the doctor couldn't be bothered to review them for a week, despite having received them immediately. It feels like I'm just a number, not a person. We should be treating each other with compassion, understanding, and genuine care.

Terrible service and communication at this clinic
This has been the most disappointing medical facility I've encountered. The front desk personnel appear completely disorganized and incompetent. Staff rotation at reception is constant, with no consistency or understanding of basic procedures. Their workflow lacks any logical approach, and tasks consistently remain unresolved. Their website's complaint mechanism is utterly useless - it suggests contacting reception about the Clinic Business Manager, but reception staff claim he's unavailable for calls, which makes no sense. When attempting to lodge a formal complaint, I was repeatedly provided incorrect email addresses, causing a two-day delay in communication. The entire experience has been so frustrating that I'm definitively switching healthcare providers.

Frustrating wait for crucial medical information today
Been attempting to reach the clinic about my blood test results since around 8am, and it's already 3pm with no response. I'm genuinely concerned, especially if my son might require a medical consultation, which thankfully can be done virtually now 😔😖😡

Terrible service and unhelpful medical staff
Absolutely appalling medical practice with zero customer service! The front desk staff consistently display a terrible attitude. I attempted to schedule an urgent consultation and was forced to book online, which I completed. After receiving an email promising a callback before 6:30 PM, I wasted an entire day waiting with no contact. Their approach is incredibly inconvenient - providing a specific time slot would be far more considerate for patients. It's ironic that they would swiftly contact patients about missed appointments and lecture them on the NHS costs, yet they show no respect for patients' time and scheduling needs.

Frustrating customer service with constant disconnection issues
During the infrequent times I need to make a call, the line is seldom picked up. Occasionally, the call drops, and when I attempt to redial, I encounter a busy signal.

Terrible healthcare experience with incompetent medical staff
This medical practice is absolutely terrible. Patients endure endless waiting periods just to receive any information. The front desk staff desperately requires professional development. Dr. Bahdra should seriously consider retirement, as he frequently forgets patient details and stubbornly insists on handling specialized cases himself, refusing appropriate referrals. I've personally experienced multiple pregnancy losses because the medical staff consistently dismissed the severity of my health concerns.

Unprofessional staff made me feel suicidal and anxious
The medical professionals are competent and maintain a professional demeanor, but the front desk staff urgently require training in interacting with patients like myself who have Asperger syndrome and serious mental health challenges. After accepting my payment for a letter, they left me waiting over 8 weeks for a response, claiming it was difficult to simply copy and paste a document with the GP's letterhead. They owe me 35 pounds after their treatment triggered such distress that I felt suicidal, resulting in significant anxiety about returning to the practice. The doctor is exemplary, and I cannot understand why the rest of the staff cannot emulate his approach. They desperately need to improve their communication with patients who have disabilities and mental health issues, focusing on making individuals feel supported rather than worthless and ensuring vulnerable adults do not feel abandoned. It pains me to write a negative review, but I feel compelled to warn others with similar conditions that this medical practice may not be suitable for their needs. I sincerely hope they invest in developing better interpersonal skills moving forward. Best regards
