Dangerous medical negligence threatens patient safety

Receptionists block essential medications like insulin, refusing to forward prescriptions without approval from doctors or hospital consultants, forcing CQC intervention. Their conduct is morally reprehensible. I've experienced immense difficulty obtaining critical medication, to the point where specialists from different hospitals have repeatedly contacted the practice to address their consistent, dangerous incompetence that could potentially result in fatal consequences. Absolutely avoid this practice at all costs. I'm now compelled to engage with 111 services to secure medication through Arrowe Park Hospital... A Type 1 diabetic with 30 years of experience, and I find their behavior utterly unacceptable.

Terrible service leaves patients frustrated and helpless

I'm completely frustrated with their appointment system. It seems impossible to secure a slot, and their online booking through patient access is utterly dysfunctional. I've reset my memorable word multiple times within half an hour, yet the system remains uncooperative. Last week, my 3-year-old brother was seriously unwell. When we called for medical advice, they callously refused an appointment, merely suggesting we give him plenty of liquids. I tried explaining that he wasn't eating and would likely vomit any fluids, but they were dismissive and insisted we follow their generic instructions. They promised a doctor would call back within an hour. Predictably, the call came at 7:30 pm - long after we'd already taken him to the hospital. What infuriates me most is the standard medical response when you're suffering: "Take paracetamol, and if the pain worsens, take two." It's insulting that after years of medical education and training, their primary recommendation is a basic over-the-counter pain reliever. It feels like a complete waste of professional expertise. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.

Rude receptionists ruin an otherwise good medical experience

The medical staff are excellent, but echoing other reviews, the front desk personnel are terrible! I called to schedule an appointment after receiving a text message, initially being told they were completely full, only to then suddenly have appointment options available. The staff's approach of yelling from a considerable distance to inquire about COVID symptoms lacks professionalism. They also loudly questioned whether I'd had a COVID test in the past two weeks, which I had due to a hospital visit (and it was negative). They desperately need to improve their communication methods and approach to patient interactions.

Terrible service at a once-trusted medical practice

Dr Jones brought me into the world 66 years ago, and I've been a patient since it was Leggett and Jones' practice. But nowadays, securing a doctor's appointment has become incredibly challenging. The receptionist seems more interested in brushing me off, like in my recent situation. I unexpectedly fell ill but couldn't get a doctor's appointment to save my life. I always believed their primary responsibility was caring for sick patients, yet the reception staff acted completely disinterested, with an attitude that screamed "I can't be bothered." That's the end of my frustration. I might as well go and spend the day sitting in Arrow Park.

Worst medical experience ever avoid at all costs

Absolutely dreadful experience, I strongly advise against visiting this medical facility. The level of assistance is non-existent, if not negative. My condition has not improved at all, and in certain aspects, it has actually deteriorated since seeking treatment here. Dr. Selby and the entire medical staff are completely incompetent and should have their medical licenses revoked. One can only hope they will close down this practice permanently and spare other patients from their abysmal care.

Securing an appointment for your child is nearly impossible. The quality of care has dramatically deteriorated over my three-plus decades as a patient.

Scheduling an appointment is an absolute nightmare, and when you finally manage to get through, the front desk personnel are incredibly discourteous and condescending.
