Patient feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges that overshadow positive clinical experiences. While many patients praise the attentiveness, compassion, and thorough care provided by physicians and nursing staff, serious concerns dominate the feedback regarding appointment access and booking experience. Patients consistently report extreme difficulty securing appointments, with phone lines becoming congested immediately upon opening at 8am, resulting in long waiting periods or disconnections. Appointment availability appears severely limited, with many patients unable to book slots despite repeated attempts over weeks or months.
Reception experience emerges as a critical issue, with multiple reports of discourteous, unhelpful, and unprofessional conduct from front desk staff, particularly during early morning hours. Patients describe receiving inconsistent information, abrupt call terminations, and dismissive attitudes. Communication and organisational efficiency are further compromised by restricted consultation scope, with the practice limiting patients to discussing a single medical issue per appointment, forcing those with multiple conditions to schedule separate visits and take additional time off work. Additional concerns include poor responsiveness to patient requests, lack of digital communication options, and gaps in service delivery such as missing wound care supplies and limited specialist clinics.
While the clinical care itself receives consistent praise for genuine concern and supportive interactions, the systemic barriers to accessing that care, combined with reception staff discourtesy and organisational inefficiency, have substantially eroded patient confidence in the overall service. Several patients report considering alternative providers or have already initiated formal complaints.

Phoned at exactly 8 in the morning to be told I was number 4 in the queue, great, this won’t take long !!!! 50 mins later I was told all appointments were gone, I said “how could that be there were only 3 people in front of me”, to which I was told “I don’t know how that could be” I have told friends and they have said it has happened to them as well !! I have been there recently to sort out a prescription and was amazed to see not one person in the waiting rooms. What’s happening, does anybody know 😬

Terrible service left me frustrated and angry
An absolute disaster of disorganization and complete ineptitude. I'm seeking guidance on how to officially lodge a complaint with your leadership team, if you would be so gracious as to assist me.

Terrible service at gp clinic disappoints healthcare professional
I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with this general practitioner's office. When I requested to speak with a manager, the receptionist claimed she was absent and suggested I file a complaint at the front desk. The service is incredibly frustrating, as they restrict patients to discussing only one medical issue per appointment. As a healthcare professional who prioritizes patient care in my hospital work, I was shocked by the subpar treatment I received. The receptionist informed me that for each additional health concern, I would need to take separate days off work, essentially meaning if I have multiple conditions, I'd have to miss five workdays just to be seen for brief 10-minute consultations. This level of administrative inefficiency is unprecedented in my experience, and the staff's approach is completely unacceptable. The overall service delivery is the worst I've ever encountered in a medical practice.

Worst medical practice ever terrible healthcare experience
Absolutely terrible experience. The practice manager displays a shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy. They even managed to misplace a prescription that was directly handed to them. During my attempts to manage my hormone replacement therapy, I've been ridiculed, dismissed as following a trendy medical bandwagon, and had a doctor casually munching on snacks while on a phone call with me. I've been subjected to blood tests that completely ignored my specific hormone testing request. In one instance, I attended a nurse's appointment only to be informed they couldn't perform the very service I was scheduled for. The incompetence seems endless. I'm so distrustful of this practice that I would independently verify even the most basic information they might provide. My strongest recommendation is to steer clear of this healthcare provider at all costs.

Smooth and swift medical care at local surgery
I hadn't needed to see a doctor recently, so I was apprehensive about scheduling a consultation. To my pleasant surprise, I secured an in-person appointment on the very day I contacted the medical practice. The physician was incredibly attentive and comprehensive during our meeting. They've already arranged an ECG for me. While I recognize this experience isn't universal given the current healthcare challenges, I feel compelled to acknowledge the exceptional service I received.

Terrible service and complete communication failure
Absolute chaos. I reached out early yesterday, hoping for a prompt response, but no callback ever came. When I tried again today right as their lines opened, I was informed they were completely fully booked.

Terrible service and communication from this medical practice
I've been struggling to schedule an appointment for months, with phone lines constantly busy or fully booked. My doctor modified my medication dosage without consulting me, and I'm unable to question this decision. After several months, the situation has only worsened. I've been taking the same medication for nearly 15 years, consistently collecting it from the same pharmacy. Today, when I went to refill my prescription, I was told to contact my GP. Upon calling, the staff member was extremely unhelpful, claiming that my long-standing repeat prescription has never actually been authorized, despite years of consistent collection. When I asked for guidance, I was simply advised to call the GP by 8am for an appointment. However, from past experience, I know that even calling early leaves me in a queue, only to be told all slots are gone. This is utterly ridiculous! I miss the days of Dr. Combes, Dr. Hunt, Dr. Tracey, and Dr. Barnes - physicians who genuinely cared about their patients. Even Jill, who used to work at the front desk and was wonderful, has been replaced by an indifferent young staff member.

Terrible healthcare service wastes precious time
Total chaos! My husband wanted to address multiple concerns, but was restricted to just one topic and had to reschedule for the next day to cover the rest. Working 60-hour weeks, how on earth are people supposed to manage this? He had to spread the consultation across two days during his precious time off! 😩 Such an inefficient use of both his and the GP's time. Bureaucratic nonsense. The policy of not permitting double appointments is ridiculous! 😡

Terrible service overshadows excellent medical expertise
Outstanding medical procedure marred by reception staff who display the interpersonal warmth of a piece of furniture. Their demeanor is hostile, making patients feel unwelcome and burdensome. They terminate calls abruptly and communicate with an unwarranted combative attitude.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff
If you're seeking medical assistance or support, steer clear of this place... the arrogant receptionist acts like she owns the entire practice. I'm currently searching for mental health resources after being a patient here for two years.

Broken healthcare system fails patients with multiple conditions
Navigating healthcare becomes a challenge when you're limited to discussing just one medical issue. For individuals like myself with complex, intersecting health conditions, comprehensive care remains elusive. Consultations with locum physicians mean repeatedly explaining your medical background, consuming precious minutes and frustrating both patient and doctor. Attempting to schedule an appointment is an exercise in futility, with phone lines congested from the moment they open. This system is particularly overwhelming for neurodivergent patients with additional support requirements. The healthcare approach systematically fails those with multifaceted medical needs. Despite raising concerns with management, who claim to be proactive, meaningful improvements remain absent. My confidence in this healthcare process has been thoroughly eroded, leaving me feeling unsupported and marginalized.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical care
I'm writing this review for my fiancée regarding her recent medical experience, which has been incredibly frustrating. The staff have been consistently discourteous during phone interactions. After her appendectomy, she needed a quick wound check to ensure no infection, but they refused to see her today and instead scheduled her for tomorrow. Adding insult to injury, they've instructed her to bring her own medical dressings because the facility apparently lacks basic supplies. It's mind-boggling that a medical practice would expect a post-surgical patient to provide her own wound care materials. What exactly are we paying for if not even fundamental medical necessities?

Worst medical practice ever terrible service
Massive lines, unhelpful personnel, unbearable delays... minimal medical staff... if you're fortunate enough to avoid being sent away, you might encounter a nurse practitioner... completely lacking essential specialized clinics like asthma or women's health services that should be standard Zero digital communication options, no telehealth appointments... their technological capabilities and service approach seem frozen in a bygone era

Frustrating and inefficient booking system nightmare
I tried multiple times to schedule an appointment, but the process was incredibly frustrating. Their booking system requires you to call precisely at 8AM to join the queue. Despite being second in line, I remained on hold for 25 minutes until they finally picked up at 8:25. After all that waiting, I finally got through at 9AM, only to be informed that no general practitioner was available for the entire day.

Terrible service with endless waiting and frustration
Absolutely terrible phone system that leaves you stuck in an endless 8-person line, only to find everything's vanished after waiting. This dragging ordeal can stretch on for weeks, sometimes extending to a fortnight. It's completely unacceptable. Getting a desperately needed appointment is practically impossible.

Frustrating phone experience with impossible appointment booking
Every attempt to schedule an appointment is met with frustration. Even when calling precisely at 8am when they open, the phone lines are perpetually jammed. I've spent entire mornings repeatedly dialing, only to be met with constant busy signals. On the rare occasion I actually connect after hundreds of tries, I'm abruptly and rudely informed that all appointments are booked, and I'm dismissively told to try again the next day.

Terrible service and uncaring medical professionals avoid
Reception personnel display a lack of professionalism and seem unsuited for a service-oriented role. The temporary physicians come across as dismissive, prioritizing quick call termination over genuine patient care, often with a condescending attitude. The overall quality of this medical practice has significantly deteriorated over the past couple of years.

Terrible service and impossible to book appointment
I was instructed to schedule an in-person doctor's consultation by calling at 08:00 the following day, and now, two weeks later, I'm still unable to secure an appointment. The phone lines are perpetually jammed, and I'm constantly disconnected. Even when I manage to get through later in the day, all available slots are inexplicably gone. Defying recommendations, I visited the surgery in person and endured a 15-minute wait, only to have a receptionist tell me to continue attempting phone bookings and offer no assistance. I've been a patient at this practice throughout my entire adult life, and the service has never been this abysmal. I'm now in a position where I can't even identify my assigned doctor when asked, and obtaining any form of medical support has become utterly impossible. I am extremely frustrated and profoundly let down by this experience.
