Initially hesitant to disclose my full relocation circumstances, I later returned to clarify my entitlement to register without documentation, in line with NHS England's guidelines for vulnerable individuals. The reception staff member I encountered responded with remarkable hostility. Despite maintaining a courteous and composed demeanor, I was met with an unnecessarily aggressive and loud communication style that created a profoundly uncomfortable environment. This interaction was particularly distressing, especially considering I was seeking support for my mental health. The encounter left me feeling deeply intimidated and embarrassed — a stark contrast to the supportive experience one would expect when seeking NHS assistance. I am well-informed that NHS protocols do not mandate address proof for GP registration, particularly for patients in vulnerable positions. The receptionist was incredibly unprofessional - I described my full range of symptoms, including severe mobility issues, and she dismissively claimed they couldn't treat a "cold" while clearly disregarding the critical details I shared. Last Sunday, I submitted an online request around 4pm seeking an appointment. By 8:30am Monday morning, they called me and scheduled a consultation for 9:30am. They were incredibly attentive to my concerns and immediately arranged blood tests that same day. I was even able to receive my test results immediately! The level of service here is exceptional, with doctors and nurses who are genuinely compassionate and understanding.

I restructured my work schedule to make it during the designated new patient registration hours (Thursday 8am-12pm), only to be informed that I needed to have printed the forms myself. (Like many individuals, I lack access to a printer 🙃). Consequently, this turned into a completely futile trip, wasting both my time and parking fee.
