Fighting to get accurate information and promised visits

The service has been disappointing, as accessing appointments requires considerable effort and information provided has sometimes been inaccurate. A home visit was promised to assess a skin concern that was causing me significant worry, with assurance that this would happen the following day. Instead, a telephone consultation took place and a remedy was suggested to be obtained from a pharmacy. When I subsequently saw the patient, the affected area appeared to be in considerable discomfort. Combined with previous instances of misleading guidance regarding local healthcare facilities, I feel it may be necessary to register elsewhere with a different practice. This is regrettable given the long-standing relationship with this surgery spanning many decades.

Interpreter felt genuinely respected during consultation

I visited this practice this morning to provide interpreting services for one of their patients. I spent approximately 30 minutes observing a consultation session. I found the clinician to be exceptionally professional and skilled, among the most impressive I have encountered throughout my career in public service interpreting. The clinician demonstrated excellent understanding of how to work effectively with interpreters and patients requiring interpreter support. Their approach towards both the patient and myself was remarkable and greatly appreciated. The experience was genuinely positive and memorable.

Reception staff were quite dismissive

Unfriendly Reception The staff members I encountered during my visit displayed a lack of courtesy and warmth. Their manner was dismissive and unhelpful, which made the experience feel unwelcoming. I found their approach to patient interaction to be rather abrupt and impersonal. The overall atmosphere created by their behaviour was not conducive to feeling comfortable or valued as a patient. This negative interaction significantly detracted from what should have been a more pleasant healthcare experience.

I find it straightforward to obtain same-day appointments or expedited referrals when necessary, and they offer remote consultations for prescription requests when attending in person isn't feasible. Highly satisfied.

Reception staff refused to share registration details

Not even worth one star. I am a patient receiving mental health care in a secure hospital setting. I contacted this practice to confirm my registration status, but the staff member refused to provide this information. She subsequently contacted my current care facility and stated that I was not entitled to access my medical records, and suggested that I sounded confused and anxious. I feel this was inappropriate given my circumstances, and I want to clarify that my mental health condition does not affect my cognitive abilities or my right to understand my own healthcare information.
