Feedback reveals significant challenges with appointment access and booking systems, which emerge as the practice's most persistent issue. Patients report difficulty securing timely consultations through both phone and online channels, with extended waiting times and limited availability frequently cited. Reception experience is notably inconsistent, with some staff described as helpful and responsive while others are characterised as discourteous and unhelpful, creating an uneven service experience across interactions.
Communication failures appear throughout the feedback, including missed follow-ups, delayed prescription processing, and inadequate information provision during initial contact. Several patients describe feeling dismissed or not listened to during consultations, with concerns about care quality and professional competence raised across multiple reviews. A smaller number of positive experiences highlight responsive staff, compassionate care, and efficient service, though these remain outweighed by accounts of organisational dysfunction and staff inconsistency.
The practice's systems for managing appointments, prescriptions, and patient communication require substantial improvement to address the widespread frustration evident in feedback. While some individual staff members receive praise for their support and professionalism, systemic issues with access, organisation, and responsiveness appear to be the primary drivers of patient dissatisfaction.

Frustrating healthcare journey with no resolution
I want to share my deeply frustrating experience with the healthcare system, which has been incredibly problematic. During my initial interaction, I was required to provide medication details and reorder timelines. When attempting to request a repeat prescription, I meticulously followed the recommended process and was told processing would take 2-3 days. After three days with no confirmation, I contacted the pharmacy, only to discover the doctor had not yet reviewed my prescription. Upon consulting my GP, I learned a hold existed on my prescription without any prior communication. I sought updates and followed up the next day, being informed that blood work was necessary. Wanting to comply, I requested the required forms, but the GP's office provided no documentation. Subsequent calls were needed before I finally obtained the necessary paperwork. When scheduling the blood work, I was informed the earliest appointment was three weeks away. This delay left me without a critical medication I've depended on for nearly a decade, causing my symptoms to resurface. I attempted to schedule a GP appointment to discuss interim medication options, but it was canceled without explanation. My attempts to escalate concerns were met with promises of leaving a note for the doctor, yet no follow-up occurred. Over subsequent days, I persistently sought assistance regarding my worsening physical and mental health challenges. Each inquiry resulted in the same ineffective response. Desperate, I explored online GP services, which were sympathetic but unable to prescribe my long-term medication. They suggested contacting the 111 service, which ultimately redirected me back to my original GP. My condition deteriorated significantly, impacting my mental well-being. Visiting the GP practice in person, I encountered a dismissive receptionist who criticized my presence during office hours. Overwhelmed, I broke down in the reception area, desperately seeking someone to acknowledge my concerns, facing weeks of waiting for tests and prescription. The receptionist claimed a doctor would call the next day at noon, emphasizing I must be available for this singular opportunity. However, the doctor called earlier at 11:27, and interruptions prevented me from fully explaining my situation. I felt my credibility was challenged, and my long-term medication needs were misunderstood. The conversation concluded with requirements for blood work results to continue my years-long medication. Ultimately, this experience revealed substantial deficiencies in patient care, leaving me feeling suspected rather than supported. Healthcare professionals must prioritize trust and communication. I sincerely hope addressing these concerns can improve future patient experiences. Unsurprisingly, I am seeking a new GP practice immediately.

Terrible healthcare that left me feeling completely ignored
Appalling healthcare service that completely misses the mark! The medical staff demonstrate zero empathy, completely dismissing patients and refusing to listen to their concerns. They instantly assume you're fabricating or dramatizing your symptoms, treating you with contempt. Without a doubt, this is the most incompetent general practitioner I've ever encountered!

Terrible healthcare service that fails patients completely
A medical practice that demonstrates complete disregard for patient well-being and communication. They arbitrarily cancel scheduled consultations without providing any rationale, fail to inform patients about prescription holds, and show zero commitment to meaningful healthcare support. Avoid this clinic at all costs, as your medical needs and personal health could be seriously compromised!

Terrible medical advice and unprofessional practitioner service
I consulted my personal healthcare provider who advised me to undergo an ultrasound and blood work to investigate my current health concerns. Consequently, I scheduled an appointment online with Royal Arsenal Riverside Medical Centre. During the subsequent phone consultation, the Practitioner asked minimal substantive questions and abruptly determined that no diagnostic tests were necessary. Despite my expressing intentions to conceive, they persistently recommended contraceptive medication. When I highlighted the standard protocol of conducting preliminary blood tests before prescribing such medication, the Practitioner dismissively claimed I was challenging their professional expertise and promptly terminated our conversation. The situation is absolutely absurd! These are government-funded medical professionals whose salaries are directly funded by taxpayer contributions. How can such seemingly incompetent practitioners be permitted to provide medical advice that appears so fundamentally misguided and potentially harmful to patients?!?!

Worst medical centre ever, avoid at all costs

Worst medical practice ever with terrible reception
The personnel at this medical practice are absolutely deplorable. The front desk staff are completely uncooperative, even when no patients are waiting. Their sole suggestion is to use an online booking system that consistently fails to function properly. They are monumentally unhelpful. I cannot comprehend how they could possibly assist elderly patients or individuals requiring immediate medical attention. Truly abysmal service.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical centre nightmare
An absolute nightmare of a medical facility, with a reception area that's unwelcoming and staff who make you feel anything but comfortable. I'm genuinely relieved to no longer be associated with this practice. The entire operation needs a total overhaul, from management down to some of the physicians. If I had the power, I would shut this place down completely.

Dangerous practice left me without essential medication
I would give zero stars if possible. This was the most regrettable decision I've made, switching to this healthcare provider. Absolutely worthless and potentially life-threatening, especially when I rely on medication daily to maintain my well-being. There's zero customer assistance available. AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS.

Nightmare medical experience that left me devastated
I encountered the most appalling medical facility in London, with staff that are incredibly discourteous and unwelcoming. From the moment I arrived at 9:00am, I felt under assault by their cold and dismissive attitude, with not even a basic greeting extended. The physician was completely dismissive, claiming he lacked the time to address my medical concerns and suggesting I would need to schedule multiple additional appointments just to be heard. I sought assistance and support, yet instead left with tears streaming down my face, feeling utterly abandoned and distressed. Every single employee at this practice deserves to be removed from their position. I am departing this medical center emotionally devastated and deeply unwell.

Frustrating delays in getting my essential medication
Received a medical document from the hospital on Sunday. Promptly delivered it to my primary care physician when their office opened Monday. Made multiple follow-up calls. A week has now passed, and I'm still without my medication. Phoned again today, with the staff suggesting it might be processed tomorrow. The staff appears completely unfazed by this prolonged delay.

Hassle-free booking saves time and reduces stress
The digital booking platform is a real game-changer. I absolutely despise calling medical practices due to endless waiting times. This summer, I've submitted three appointment requests, and each one was confirmed within sixty minutes of my submission. So far, I've only consulted with a nurse, who was friendly and attentive. It's also incredibly convenient that there's a linked pharmacy right next to the clinic.

Terrible medical care that leaves patients frustrated
I've reached my breaking point. I'm actively seeking a new medical practice for myself and my daughter, as I can no longer tolerate staying here. Despite always trying to be understanding, I feel consistently disappointed by their services. While I've encountered a few genuinely friendly and helpful staff members and doctors during phone calls, their quality is frustratingly inconsistent. I'm simply not satisfied enough to remain. Obtaining sick notes has been a persistent struggle. The communication is abysmal. I have two herniated discs and suffer from sciatic flare-ups, which they seemingly dismiss as insignificant. When I attempted to discuss my mental health and depression, they showed zero interest - thankfully, my personal support network has been crucial. No one appears concerned about the psychological aspects of my health. My recent sick note request has been completely ignored for months, with zero response. Acquiring medication for my conditions feels like an impossible task. Inexplicably, my repeat prescription has suddenly stopped, and despite submitting a request, I've received no acknowledgment. I'm left at home, suffering, with no clear recourse. The communication challenges are compounded by rarely answered phone lines and inconsistent online consultation availability. They would abruptly shut down the e-consult system early in the day, which defies logic. I have no personal vendetta, but the overall operation of this surgery is unbearable. If you've had positive experiences with their doctors and nurses, consider yourself extremely fortunate.

Worst medical experience with an insensitive doctor
My physician displayed an appalling lack of professionalism while addressing my eating disorder, demonstrating minimal empathy and understanding. He focused solely on physical symptoms, consistently interrupting my attempts to discuss the profound emotional toll of my condition. During the appointment, he even berated me about a blood test request from my eating disorder referral clinic, declaring, "we aren't their secretary," which was incredibly disrespectful given the critical nature of these tests for my overall health and treatment progression. I've never felt compelled to complete a patient experience survey before, but this encounter was so distressing that I feel obligated to speak out, hoping to prevent similar treatment of other vulnerable individuals seeking mental health support. When I expressed interest in trying an SSRI to manage my eating disorder's psychological impact, he repeatedly questioned whether I'd taken such medication before, requiring me to confirm multiple times that I had not. Rather than exploring my emotional needs or mental health context, he shockingly asked, "how do I know you're not going to try and overdose on these if I prescribe you?" I was utterly devastated by this accusation. Had he properly reviewed my intake form, he would have understood that I'm seeking medication to reclaim my life and well-being, not to harm myself. Ultimately, he prescribed Prozac without genuinely understanding my motivations or exploring alternative treatments. I'm now hesitant to even start the medication. Are medical professionals truly this cavalier about mental health prescriptions? Healthcare providers must do significantly better.

Booking nightmare at this impossible medical practice
This is absolutely terrible. They've recently implemented a new online appointment booking system that's exclusively available from 8-2:30 during weekdays. For someone like me who works 9-5 with a lengthy commute, securing an appointment is practically impossible. I cannot comprehend why they refuse to utilize the NHS app like every other general practice. It's utterly ridiculous. Moreover, the concept of restricted hours for an online system that requires no human interaction and doesn't confirm your appointment until the following day is completely nonsensical. If you genuinely care about your health, go private. This practice offers zero practical methods for even attempting to schedule an appointment, let alone actually getting one. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REGISTER WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Terrible healthcare experience with unprofessional doctors
This medical facility desperately needs to shut down. The physicians here lack basic professionalism when interacting with patients, consistently cutting off individuals before they can fully describe their health concerns. They hastily prescribe medications without conducting proper allergy screenings, leaving patients to discover potential risks only when attempting to fill their prescriptions. I was determined to file an official complaint about their substandard care, but their website offers no guidance on whom to contact, making the process frustratingly impossible.

Confusing communication leads to missed medical appointment
Absolutely dreadful medical practice. Received an automated SMS supposedly verifying my scheduled consultation, yet upon arrival, the front desk staff informed me it was actually a telehealth session. The original text message provided zero indication of this change. We've now gone well past the designated appointment time, and I'm still waiting for this promised phone consultation. Absolutely unacceptable handling of patient communication.
