Nurse Unavailable For Two Weeks With Infected Splinter

Disappointing. I had an incredibly painful splinter lodged in my index finger, which was evidently infected, so I called with the hope of seeing a nurse. Unfortunately, I was informed that she was not available and fully booked for the next couple of weeks. It was then recommended that I consult a pharmacist - seriously?! I believe that would be utterly pointless!

Brilliant care!

I've been with Rustlings' rd for 18 years and have always had impeccable care. The doctors have always been attentive and interested, it's obvious that they care. I hear of friends and family struggling to get appointments at their Doctors' but I've not had that experience, and when it's been an urgent issue I've always been seen on the same day. The nursing team too are excellent, respectful and friendly. I think it's rare now to feel like you have a relationship with your doctor and/nurse but I do, and I really appreciate it.

Twenty Years of Excellence Despite Healthcare Challenges

I decided to dedicate some time to share a candid review based on my two decades of experience with this practice, as I have come across several comments that do not align with my own impressions. My family and I have consistently received outstanding support from the team regarding our numerous medical challenges, anxieties, and questions throughout the years. Their commitment to assisting us has always been commendable; Dr. Wight is my general practitioner and he truly excels in his role. It is evident that the entire staff operates under significant pressure while striving to provide the best care possible despite facing extremely challenging situations.

Exceptional Care at Sheffield's Best GP Surgery

The service I received was exceptional, as it always is! During my visit to the clinic today, the fantastic receptionist displayed remarkable insight and recognized that I needed to be seen right away. She efficiently arranged for me to be attended to within an hour. The general practitioners are all outstanding and compassionate, while the nursing staff is equally impressive. This past year has been challenging for GPs on the front lines, but they have managed their responsibilities with great skill throughout. I truly feel fortunate to be a patient at what is undoubtedly the finest GP surgery in Sheffield.

Receptionist's Rudeness Ruins NHS Experience

The incompetence displayed by the receptionist was astonishing. Her rudeness, obnoxious behavior, and lack of assistance were certainly her more favorable qualities. I genuinely empathize with the dedicated individuals working for the NHS who strive hard each day, only to be let down by people like her. From the beginning of our conversation until its abrupt conclusion, she spent most of our interaction venting about her own frustrations rather than addressing my needs. Whenever I attempted to interject or ask a question, she would rudely interrupt me with various excuses that prevented her from providing any help—despite having no clue regarding my inquiry's nature. When I kindly requested a moment to express myself fully, she abruptly hung up on me… it’s quite amusing in a way; this type of encounter is precisely why many believe that doctors' receptionists have such a poor reputation.

Exceptional Doctors at a Great Medical Practice

Excellent general practitioners and healthcare providers. Normally, I visit Dr. Wight, who is exceptional; however, today I had the opportunity to see Dr. Mawer due to a cancellation. She was equally delightful. I'm very grateful to all of you. Fantastic clinic! Claire

Adult Female Asperger's: Dismissed Without Diagnosis

I won’t mention any names, but an incident from a few years back still lingers in my memory. At the time, I was facing numerous challenges and my family started to suspect that I might have Asperger's syndrome. After visiting my general practitioner, I was shocked to hear them express the notion that you could "spot Asperger's from miles away." It’s astonishing that a medical professional would make such a statement. I've decided never to return to this GP again. Through extensive research, I've learned that diagnostic criteria primarily focuses on males who are diagnosed with Asperger's since they represent the majority of cases. Unfortunately for adult females like myself who also have Asperger's, there is often a dismissive attitude; we sometimes feel as though we're laughed out of consultation rooms. This lack of seriousness towards our experiences can be quite painful, especially when simply scheduling an appointment with a doctor can be daunting for many individuals. Moreover, referrals seem impossible as one doctor claimed it was "pointless" for adults seeking help. Pointless for whom? For me personally, obtaining proper support would be tremendously beneficial! The NHS appears reluctant to invest in diagnoses due to their high costs… which makes this whole situation incredibly disheartening.
