A complete farce of a medical practice. They go to extraordinary lengths to obstruct patients from securing appointments, wrongly assessed my critical health issue, and their administrative performance is abysmal. Utterly hopeless across the board.

One of the best GP Surgeries I have ever been registered wit

Saxonbrook is a good sized surgery and vaccination centre, not only did they do an amazing job with the covid vaccinations at the time, but their day to day operations are flawless. One thing that stands out is that the staff her actually care, they are not "just doing their job". They treat you with respect and are incredibly friendly. My most recent interactions have been great and I am very grateful to them for the care they have provided.

Dangerous Medication Errors and Negligent Healthcare Service

I have been prescribed the incorrect medication on two occasions, one of which I am allergic to. Despite my visits and numerous phone calls where I clearly stated that I require medication prior to my holiday, they seem unwilling to check my medical history. I've been suffering from an ear infection for a month now. This experience has been utterly frustrating, and I am extremely let down by this medical practice's level of service.

I can’t recommend Saxonbrook highly enough! They have been our family’s general practitioner for nearly four years now. Initially, securing appointments was somewhat difficult during the first couple of years. However, over the last year, there has been a significant enhancement in their appointment scheduling system. We are now able to see a doctor whenever we require assistance.

Unprofessional staff shames patient for minor delay

I left feeling utterly disheartened, humiliated by being publicly reprimanded for arriving just 7 minutes behind schedule. Given my existing health challenges, the last thing I needed was to be interrogated with a condescending "do you have a valid explanation for your tardiness?" The situation was compounded by spending 3-4 minutes queuing at reception, which contributed to my delay, and then being shuttled between the screening area and reception. While some staff members demonstrate compassion, others seem intent on making patients feel small and inadequate. The experience was demoralizing and added unnecessary stress to an already difficult medical appointment.

Abrupt Blood Test Demand Sparks Patient Complaint

I received a notification with less than two days' notice stating that my prescribed medication would no longer be dispensed unless I consent to undergo a blood test. While it is common for certain medications to require tests before prescriptions are provided, there is absolutely no rationale for needing a blood test related to the medications I have consistently taken over the past five years, during which time such testing has never been requested from me. The tone of the correspondence was confrontational and abrupt; additionally, its content was difficult to understand and filled with grammatical mistakes and typographical errors. I reached out to the surgery and shared my concerns with an exceptionally courteous team member who assured me they would follow up with an update. Unfortunately, instead of receiving that callback, I got another brusque message that came across as rude and unfriendly, once again emphasizing the necessity of attending their office for a blood draw. Consequently, I have lodged a formal complaint with NHS England regarding this matter. Furthermore, I plan on discussing my experience on a widely followed YouTube channel. I will not be going to this scheduled appointment.

Saxonbrook medical practice fails every patient

Upon relocating to Crawley as a family of seven in 2021, we registered with this practice, and I cannot emphasize enough how abysmal their service truly is. There's not a single positive aspect I can highlight. The level of care is so poor that even in a critical medical situation, you'd likely receive more compassionate assistance from an inanimate object. Scheduling appointments seems impossible, and the physicians appear incompetent, with questionable communication skills. When I contracted Lymes disease from a tick bite, they refused testing until I sought a private GP who ultimately submitted the necessary report. Their response came a staggering six weeks later - a meaningless apology that offered zero practical help. I strongly caution anyone against choosing Saxonbrook Medical Practice; they are completely ineffective. This incident represents just one of numerous disastrous encounters we experienced. Fortunately, we've since moved and are immensely relieved to have escaped their utterly inadequate healthcare support!

Flu Appointment Cancelled Without Notice

I made a phone call at 11 am to inform them that I would be running slightly late for my flu vaccination appointment. They reassured me that it was fine, as long as I arrived before 1 pm, they would accommodate me. After driving ten miles, I got there by noon. However, upon reaching the reception area, I had to wait eight minutes only to learn that the flu jab clinic had been canceled for the day due to a failure in receiving the vaccinations. Why wasn’t this information communicated when I called? Why was there no prior notice regarding the cancellation? The service provided is appallingly inadequate. I am quite frustrated with this situation. Now I'm unable to reschedule my appointment since they haven't made any updates in the NHS system.

However, I'm frustrated by the tendency to prescribe steroids and antibiotics during every visit, rather than addressing the underlying health issue. This approach seems counterproductive, ultimately leading to unnecessary follow-up appointments. I've encountered significant administrative challenges, particularly with obtaining referrals. Despite having a phone conversation confirming a referral, it was merely noted in my profile without actually being processed. Additionally, the online booking system is extremely restrictive, which poses a real inconvenience for working professionals. The brevity of appointments—typically lasting just 5 to 10 minutes—raises serious concerns about the current state of healthcare and the quality of service provided by the NHS.
