I had a very negative experience with a senior clinician at this practice. I felt that my concerns were not properly heard, particularly regarding mental health matters, and that advice from relevant specialists was not being adequately considered. I believe the approach taken was to wait until situations became more serious before intervention occurred. I felt that past medical history was being held against me in a way that affected the care I received, and that this created an ongoing sense of discrimination. I would be cautious about choosing this practice.

Practice keeps redirecting patients instead of helping

I recently switched to a new practice and have been disappointed with my experience so far. The service feels impersonal and dismissive, with a tendency to redirect patients elsewhere rather than providing direct support themselves. I would appreciate better service standards -- some of us have work commitments and cannot afford to spend extended periods waiting for care. Obtaining an appointment should not be this difficult. My previous practice managed this much more efficiently, offering online booking with prompt callback within a day and appointments available the same day or shortly after.

Long phone queue, then sent to hospital without help

I had a disappointing experience at this GP practice. I called early in the morning and was eventually called back when it was my turn. However, I was informed that they were unable to see patients and was directed to attend the hospital instead. Upon arrival at the hospital, I was advised the waiting time would exceed three hours due to high patient numbers. I felt concerned about being sent to a crowded hospital environment for such an extended wait given my respiratory health needs. Throughout the process, I received no medication or practical support, and felt largely unsupported in managing my situation. I found this experience frustrating and felt the practice did not meet the standard of care I would have expected.

Attended a maternity appointment scheduled for 9am and checked in at reception, but experienced a 20-minute wait. When I returned to reception to inquire about the delay, I was informed that the healthcare professional had not yet arrived and there was no appointment list available. It was unclear why this information wasn't communicated during my initial check-in, or what was being processed when I was asked to take a seat. This lack of clarity about the appointment status was frustrating.

I recently had an interaction with a member of the reception team. I felt that their manner was dismissive and unhelpful. There was a disagreement regarding the timing of my previous appointment—I had attended four weeks prior rather than two weeks ago, which was my error. However, the staff member seemed to dispute that I had visited at all. I found myself having to raise my voice to clarify that I had indeed attended an appointment and seen a clinician. To the reception staff member in question: if you are not willing to assist patients constructively, it may be worth reconsidering your role, as your approach reflects poorly on the wider reception team.

Appointment cancelled without explanation or notice

I had a GP appointment scheduled for 6pm due to my work commitments, as this practice only offers late appointments once weekly on Tuesdays. The appointment was cancelled without the practice consulting me about my health situation beforehand. I felt very let down by this experience and found it difficult to understand why they would cancel in this manner, particularly given that I was managing a respiratory condition and had already visited the clinic twice previously, with the initial treatment course proving ineffective.

Long phone waits, no appointments available

Absolutely the worst practice in the area. I have been a patient for over 10 years and have consistently had difficult experiences. There always seems to be a lack of availability among clinical staff. I would strongly recommend avoiding this surgery. I am leaving today after yet another frustrating wait on the phone, only to be informed they cannot see me and that I should visit a pharmacy instead. I am deeply disappointed and let down, as this appears to be a recurring pattern.
