The specialist who saw me subsequently carried out a minor procedure, explaining everything in a clear and approachable way throughout, and followed up with me later that day to check on my recovery. It would be beneficial if patients could submit electronic consultation forms at any time, rather than being restricted to surgery hours. On two separate occasions, I found myself unable to complete the form outside of these operating times. Not everyone has the flexibility to do this during standard business hours. Allowing submissions at any time could potentially reduce the volume of calls to the phone lines, as patients wouldn't need to wait until morning to make a telephone appointment instead.
