Quick callback and efficient appointment booking
I've had an excellent experience with this medical practice. After contacting the out-of-hours service, I received a callback within minutes and was given an appointment promptly — the responsiveness and organisation were truly impressive. In comparison to my previous practice elsewhere, the service here is considerably better. You can actually reach someone and have matters resolved efficiently. The team are welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in patient care. It's the finest GP practice I've experienced. They've also been exceptionally helpful with my family members, which has made a real positive impact. I would strongly recommend this practice — it's a genuine asset to the NHS. The only drawback (which is unrelated to the practice itself) concerns local parking restrictions that have been implemented near the surgery, making it harder to find street parking. It seems an odd decision to restrict access to the area around a medical facility, though I'm not sure of the reasoning behind it.

Urgent slots available but long waits otherwise
I am satisfied with this practice overall. Emergency slots are readily available with minimal delay and the ongoing medication ordering system works very well. There is a longer waiting period for non-urgent matters, which falls short of what I would consider acceptable.

Receptionist's lack of empathy made things worse

Staff are kind but referrals happen too often
The nursing team and other staff members are excellent. However, we have had repeated experiences with one particular clinician who appears to favour referring patients to other services or facilities rather than addressing concerns directly at the practice (this has occurred on multiple occasions). Even when I anticipate my query could be resolved promptly, I find myself frequently having to leave work to travel to different clinics across the area. As the sole driver in my household, these journeys create considerable disruption to my working day. This pattern of referrals has left me questioning whether the approach taken is the most efficient use of primary care resources.

Reception staff made an already difficult situation worse
Accessing a routine appointment involves a lengthy waiting period of around a month. I have been unable to work due to significant symptoms related to hormonal changes. The experience at reception was distressing and emotionally difficult. Additionally, I was required to fast before a blood test scheduled for the afternoon, when a morning appointment would have been more appropriate. Subsequently, I was informed that the sample could not be located and would need to be retaken. The reception staff indicated that another blood test appointment would not be available for approximately another month and recommended attending an alternative facility instead. This experience left me feeling that the level of care provided was inadequate.

Reception screens weren't working when I visited
I visited the recently updated facility and encountered several issues during my appointment. At reception, I was directed to use the self-check-in screens, however they were not functioning properly. Although I was informed that someone was attending to the problem, the screens remained non-operational throughout my visit. Additionally, the background music was playing at a volume that made it difficult to have a private conversation with my companion. These difficulties add to concerns I have experienced this week regarding the appointment booking system and other administrative matters. Overall, the surgery does not seem to have improved as expected following its recent renovation.
