Initially, Silver End Practice seemed promising. The medical staff were consistently competent, and the atmosphere was friendly. However, their recent approach has become deeply problematic with their rigid "mandatory 8am daily call" policy, which treats all inquiries identically regardless of urgency. Unfortunately, this timing coincides with my unavailable hours, resulting in a frustrating two-week struggle just to secure an appointment two weeks in the future. To make matters worse, their online booking system is now restricted to the 8am window and remains completely inaccessible during all other times.

Worst medical experience ever terrible service

I recently had the misfortune of interacting with this medical practice, and I can confidently say it was an absolute disaster. I would strongly caution anyone against utilizing their services, as my experience was profoundly distressing, painful, and infuriating. The unavailability of a General Practitioner (GP) at the clinic is utterly disgraceful. Even when a GP is occasionally present, attempting to engage in a substantive dialogue or schedule an appointment becomes an impossible task. The communication breakdown and inaccessibility of medical staff are completely unacceptable. The nurse practitioner is undoubtedly the most unprofessional and disagreeable healthcare worker I have ever encountered. Her conduct was thoroughly abysmal – discourteous, offensive, and entirely indifferent to patient needs. The complete absence of empathy and professional conduct is simply inexcusable. Securing an appointment at this practice is an incredibly arduous process. Waiting times are excessive, with patients lucky to obtain a slot a month in advance. The blatant disregard for medical urgency is alarming and demonstrates a profound lack of concern for patient welfare. Perhaps most shocking was the callous treatment of a disabled patient – myself. The clinic deemed it acceptable to withhold critical medication until August 17th, exhibiting a total disregard for health and safety. Such negligence and indifference are absolutely unforgivable. Moreover, the services provided are disappointingly rudimentary. There are no specialized clinics or comprehensive care options available. Patients are consistently redirected elsewhere, exposing the practice's fundamental incompetence and lack of commitment to comprehensive medical care. After enduring years of substandard service and repeated failures, I have resolved to register with a different surgery. Despite being a long-standing patient of 12 years, the persistent shortcomings have compelled me to seek alternative care. I sincerely hope others can avoid the traumatic experience I have endured. In summary, I emphatically advise individuals to avoid this medical practice and explore healthcare alternatives that genuinely prioritize professionalism, compassion, and quality care. The service standards are dismally low, and no patient should suffer such profound incompetence and neglect in their healthcare journey.

Unprofessional doctor made me cry during appointment

I had been thoroughly satisfied with this medical practice until today's appointment. The physician displayed an unacceptable level of unprofessionalism, wandering around in her slippers. Her consulting room was unbearably hot, with the heater cranked up to maximum while the window remained wide open (so much for NHS budget constraints!). I struggled to communicate my health concerns as she constantly talked over both my husband and myself, repeatedly questioning my medication without apparently reviewing my medical history. If she had simply glanced at my records, she would have understood! While attempting to relay a hospital message, she continually interrupted, insisting "your scan will cover that" multiple times. I'm certain when the scan occurs, they'll only examine my stomach region, neglecting my upper abdomen. After enduring four weeks of illness, her callous demeanor nearly brought me to tears. Her mocking laughter was completely inappropriate. I should have walked out - though that wasn't possible since she had locked the door!

Terrible healthcare service that nearly cost my daughter's life

Terrible medical care. I spent a week calling daily at 8am trying to secure an appointment for my Daughter, but was unsuccessful. As a result, she was hospitalized - a situation that could have been prevented with timely medical attention. The receptionist actually advises patients to go to the Emergency Room (which explains why it's constantly overcrowded). Additionally, the prescription staff member is extremely unhelpful and discourteous. It seems she fails to grasp the critical nature of medication - these aren't optional items you can simply ignore while waiting for staff to improve their performance!!!

While they are undoubtedly a high-volume clinic, I've consistently managed to secure same-day appointments by calling at 8am, as recommended - either in-person or via telephone consultation. Booking future appointments does involve some waiting time, but this seems standard across healthcare providers, and I've learned to plan accordingly if my medical need isn't urgent. The reception team has been consistently cordial, and the physicians and nursing staff I've encountered have been professional and competent. Initially, reading previous patient reviews made me somewhat apprehensive about switching practices, but I've been genuinely delighted with the reality of my care here.

Absolutely dreadful. It's shocking that the Care Quality Commission permits this medical practice to function without intervention. On the rare occasion you manage to get through on the phone, they're guaranteed to bungle something - whether it's ordering incorrect blood work or dispensing utterly ridiculous medical guidance! Incompetence appears to be their core principle. Phenomenally terrible.

I encountered a completely uncooperative receptionist while attempting to obtain an urgent prescription for my mother. She flatly refused to make any effort to get the doctor to sign an emergency prescription, claiming she had done her part and only wanted to press a button. Her attitude was incredibly dismissive, and this lack of patient care is not an isolated incident. The standard of service is extremely poor, with no consideration for patients' urgent medical needs.

Truthfully, this medical practice is absolutely terrible. Scheduling an appointment is nearly impossible, especially for pediatric care. You'll spend hours dialing from 8am to 9am day after day, and the call never connects. When you finally manage to get through, there are no available appointment slots. They've completely demoralized me. If there were any alternative clinics nearby, I would switch in a heartbeat without a second thought.

Terrible medical care puts elderly patients at risk

Absolutely dreadful medical practice in Essex. My elderly mother, who's over 70, was experiencing severe chest discomfort. We attempted to contact the clinic at 8am but couldn't connect, and when we finally reached someone at 8:30am, the receptionist was incredibly unhelpful and dismissive. Despite explaining it was an urgent medical situation, she coldly insisted we call back the next morning and refused to provide any assistance. When I requested a telephone consultation with a doctor, she flatly rejected our plea. Their lack of compassion and professional responsibility is completely unacceptable.
