Unprofessional clinic with terrible communication skills

I've been a patient at this clinic for barely three weeks, and they've already cancelled two of my scheduled appointments. One cancellation came just 60 minutes before I was supposed to be there. Their communication method is via text message, which means you must phone them to reschedule. However, when you attempt to call, either no one picks up or the line is perpetually busy.

Getting an appointment is a challenging process due to the dysfunctional online scheduling platform and overwhelmed front desk staff. However, once you successfully navigate the initial hurdles and secure a consultation, the physicians are remarkably compassionate and attentive. I've consistently been able to arrange telephone consultations when needed and have genuinely valued the doctors' warm and empathetic approach to patient care.

Worst doctor ever zero medical professionalism

My general practitioner was absolutely terrible. He provided zero guidance for my primary concern, simply asking me what I wanted to happen. Despite me explaining that previous medications were ineffective, he inquired which ones I wanted to continue. He then proceeded to use Google to determine which pills to prescribe. After that, he abruptly said goodbye, completely disregarding a second health issue I had raised. Without exploring potential causes, he merely printed a prescription sheet and told me to try these medications. The pills he prescribed were ones I was already taking. Again, he asked me what I wanted to occur. I clearly stated I wanted an investigation into my stomach pain. His examination consisted of a brief one-second belly press, after which he said he would mail me a referral letter. Throughout the consultation, the doctor appeared drowsy and utterly clueless.

The Practice Manager appears completely indifferent to both public perception and addressing the ongoing misconduct of front desk employees who consistently display a dismissive and disrespectful demeanor. This medical practice exhibits a total disregard for patient welfare and fails to adhere to basic NHS standards of care.

Their walk-in service means arriving at the crack of dawn, but their booking system is perpetually malfunctioning, ensuring you'll likely wait until late afternoon regardless of how early you queue. They discourage discussing multiple health concerns in one appointment, insisting you schedule separate visits. Each doctor's consultation feels rushed and brief. Booking an actual appointment means enduring weeks or even months of waiting, rendering the process essentially useless. For patients with low blood pressure like myself, standing in the early morning queue offers no seating accommodations. In my experience, I've encountered only one compassionate male doctor, while the female doctor was abrasive, blunt, and seemingly indifferent. Anyone dealing with chronic health conditions should absolutely seek medical care elsewhere.

Incompetent medical practice with terrible customer service

Disastrous Medical Practice. I switched to this general practice because of its proximity and reached out to request access to hospital records from 2010 for an upcoming specialist consultation. They claimed they couldn't locate or obtain these records, which is completely unacceptable since such documents are centrally archived and it is their professional obligation to secure comprehensive and precise medical histories. Without a complete understanding of my background, how can they possibly provide appropriate care? I contacted my previous GP from 2008, who helpfully assisted me in retrieving the information and confirmed that Somerford Grove Practice should have had these records. Additionally, I have consistently experienced discourteous and unhelpful treatment from their reception staff, making the entire experience frustrating and unprofessional.
