Painful blood test with inconsistent staff communication
Communication within the organization lacks clarity. While most receptionists are friendly, the information provided varies significantly. I recently encountered a nurse named Janet during a blood test. Although she was pleasant, she struggled considerably with drawing blood. She repeatedly shifted the needle back and forth inside my arm, removing and reinserting it multiple times. Given her experience, I don't believe she's a novice, which made the procedure quite uncomfortable. Overall, my experience doesn't align with the glowing reviews. The facility seems poorly coordinated, and while I can tolerate it for now, I sincerely hope to avoid Janet for future blood tests, which I apologize for saying.

The service was absolutely appalling. I encountered numerous issues: nurses prematurely ending their shifts and canceling appointments without any notification via phone or text. I had already left work early to attend the appointment and was forced to reschedule, requiring additional time away from my job. I was assured I could simply show up for an X-ray with my hospital referral, expecting a quick process. Arriving at 9:00 AM, I discovered no referral had been processed by St. Andrews. By 9:30 AM, I was making calls to have the referral sent through. At 11:30 AM, I was still waiting, and after multiple phone attempts, I finally gave up at 12:20 PM. Once again, I've sacrificed work time for an appointment that has resulted in nothing but wasted hours. Their unprofessional and inconsiderate approach has convinced me to seek out a new medical practice immediately.

I was initially directed to a breast clinic by my general practitioner last November due to familial cancer risks, and since then, I've heard absolutely nothing. The referring doctor seems completely uninformed and hasn't made any attempt to track the referral's progress. I underwent a private MRI that revealed breast changes, which I've also communicated to a GP at St Andrews, yet there's been no response. I'm overwhelmed by a sense that nobody takes my concerns seriously. A reddish purple lesion has recently appeared on one of my breasts, and I'm now skeptical about consulting NHS doctors who seem prone to dismissing my symptoms as hypochondria, despite my genuine physical concerns.
