Frustrating wait and pharmacy mix-up at clinic

Yesterday, my wife and I visited this medical practice, intending to see the doctor at 5:15 PM. We ended up waiting 45 minutes before being called by what I believe was a nurse, not a physician. After the examination, she mentioned prescribing antibiotics and suggested collecting them from Sainsbury's pharmacy. When I inquired why not at their own pharmacy, she explained Sainsbury's is open late. We went to Sainsbury's, but the prescription wasn't ready, and we waited 30 minutes with no result. They took our contact details, promising to inform us if it arrives. Around 9 PM, Sainsbury's called to say the prescription was still not available. What's the purpose of consulting a doctor if we can't obtain the necessary medication? It's Saturday, and this surgery is closed on weekends. I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with this entire experience.

Terrible service and uncaring medical professionals

I concur with the previous critical remarks, having personally experienced these issues multiple times. The diagnostic accuracy is subpar, the personnel are discourteous, and the physicians are disrespectful and demeaning. I've reached a point where I refuse to return. In my opinion, a pharmacist provides more competent and compassionate care than these St Andrews doctors. This practice was once exceptional, staffed with skilled and knowledgeable physicians who could provide accurate diagnoses. Now, it's become nothing more than a disappointment.

Terrible service that completely failed my partner

Completely unhelpful and disrespectful - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Their sole focus is collecting money, with zero interest in actually assisting patients. My partner suffers from a genetic condition they flatly ignore, leaving her in constant discomfort and dealing with unpredictable joint instability. Even her physician dismissed her concerns, labeling her as a hypochondriac and providing absolutely no support or treatment.

Terrible medical care and dismissive doctor experience

I've been a patient at this medical practice for some time, rarely requiring assistance until recently, when I've been experiencing excruciating discomfort. During my initial consultation, the doctor dismissed my concerns, labeling me a hypochondriac and claiming my numerous symptoms were too complex to address in a single visit. I was utterly stunned by their response. Despite being in severe pain, the physician merely checked my blood pressure and declared me "fine," seemingly prejudging my condition without a thorough examination. It appeared they had already decided I was overreacting, despite my lack of prior medical history. This was likely my first attempt to seek medical help, and to be treated so dismissively is absolutely disgraceful!!

Absolutely dreadful experience with their service. I endured a two-week wait for an in-person consultation, only to be dismissed due to a 10-minute timing discrepancy. Unhelpful receptionist gave incorrect medical advice

I attempted to contact a general practitioner at the medical practice today and was met with a frustrating interaction with the receptionist. Despite recognizing their professional responsibilities, the staff member adamantly claimed that the doctor could not prescribe medication beyond what's available without a prescription. This advice was completely inaccurate, and had I not previously encountered similar situations, I would still be suffering significant discomfort. Such a response is entirely unacceptable. I strongly urge the practice to invest in additional staff training to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Worst medical experience ever terrible service

Total farce. The receptionist takes the cake for being the most discourteous staff member imaginable. They'll casually let you languish in the waiting area for three-quarters of an hour beyond your scheduled time, yet if you're merely a few minutes tardy, they'll demand you reschedule and berate you like a misbehaving child about the doctor's precious schedule and the simplicity of punctuality. The hypocrisy is laughable. After switching medical practices, I'm no longer made to feel like I'm overreacting. Instead, I've had multiple complex, long-standing health concerns properly identified and addressed. Turns out, competent physicians actually investigate and diagnose rather than merely skimming a medical reference and making wild guesses about your symptoms.
