Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience across this medical practice, with notable contrasts between service areas. Reception staff receive consistent praise for courtesy, warmth, and efficiency in booking and check-in processes, with many patients highlighting welcoming atmospheres and accessible facilities including convenient parking. Clinical care from nursing teams and certain physicians is frequently commended for professionalism and attentiveness.

However, significant concerns emerge around appointment availability and communication responsiveness. Multiple patients report extended waits for callbacks, with some waiting weeks beyond promised timeframes, and difficulty reaching the practice by phone. Several reviews describe dismissive or disrespectful interactions with reception and clinical staff, alongside complaints about inadequate follow-up care and poor communication regarding test results.

Patients also raise concerns about access to in-person consultations, with some noting a reliance on brief phone appointments. While some patients experience efficient online consultation services and prompt prescribing, others describe feeling unheard or deprioritised, particularly those with complex or ongoing health concerns. The practice environment itself is generally well-maintained with good facilities, yet operational challenges around responsiveness and continuity of care appear to be creating frustration among a significant portion of the patient population.

Painful Shoulders, No Help from Clinic

I'm experiencing persistent shoulder discomfort, underwent blood tests with no subsequent communication, and had X-rays performed without receiving any explanation or results. Despite being assured a doctor would contact me within two days, that promise went unfulfilled. The shoulder pain is so severe that at 77 years old, I struggle to dress myself, am unable to sleep, and can't even take a bath. I've reached a point of resignation, believing the medical support I desperately require will not materialize.

Slow Communication Frustrates Patient

Communication with this medical practice is frustratingly slow. My daughter has been waiting over two weeks for a response from her doctor, which is unacceptable. When I experienced an issue and underwent testing, everything medically checked out, but the follow-up and patient communication were severely lacking.

Rude Staff Ruined My Afternoon

Absolutely appalling service that left me feeling completely disrespected. The staff's lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was shocking. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I'm thoroughly disappointed with my entire experience. The way I was handled was unacceptable, and it's clear they have no regard for customer satisfaction.

Wasted Time on a Frustrating Customer Call

Spent nearly three-quarters of an hour on hold, only to finally reach a representative who was abrasive, dismissive, and ultimately terminated the call without resolving my issue.

Nightmare GP Practice That Never Answers

Completely ineffective healthcare service that fails at basic communication. These phones are non-functional, with zero ability to actually speak to a human being. All you get are impersonal text messages from someone claiming to be a "Doctor". It's faster and more reliable to use 111 or the Minor Injuries Unit, completely avoiding this fraudulent excuse for an NHS service. Absolutely the worst medical practice I've ever encountered.

Friendly Receptionist Solved Our Prescription Issue

What a delightful experience at 11:30, encountering a staff member with a warm, welcoming demeanor. My spouse and I visited to address a prescription issue, and I'm pleased to report it was handled both swiftly and courteously. Kudos to the friendly receptionist—though I regret not catching her name—who made our interaction so smooth and pleasant.

Disrespectful male doctors at the hub

I'm at a loss for words. After being a patient for roughly four years, I've observed that all male physicians at the hub seem to carry themselves with an unwarranted sense of superiority, treating patients as if we're insignificant. Dr Murphy is particularly bad, and the younger male doctor also communicates in a demeaning manner. The NHS reviews align perfectly with my personal experiences with these male doctors and the surgery. I've endured numerous frustrating callbacks from these "higher powers," and I refuse to be spoken to disrespectfully - which has resulted in a written and verbal warning that I promptly dismissed. It's clear that the doctor who drafted this letter would have been far more productive spending time investigating the root cause of my condition rather than composing dismissive correspondence. The irony is laughable when their phone message declares "please treat our staff with the respect they deserve" - I say, PLEASE TREAT YOUR PATIENTS WITH THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE. Most of the reception staff are discourteous on the phone. I've now insisted that all calls be recorded. Interestingly, when I've requested previous call recordings to dispute their claims of my rudeness, they mysteriously cannot provide them. How convenient. Doctors, you are no more important than me, a patient in pain. My recommendation is to find a different career path. Moving forward, I will exclusively consult with female doctors. I want to emphasize that this critique does not extend to other staff, particularly the exceptional paramedics.
