Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a sharply divided experience at this practice, with medical expertise consistently praised but administrative operations heavily criticised. Doctors, particularly those in clinical roles, are frequently described as professional, compassionate, and responsive to patient concerns, with several reviewers noting excellent diagnostic skills and attentive consultations. However, appointment access presents a significant and recurring challenge across multiple reviews. Patients report extensive waiting times when calling to book, with phone queues regularly exceeding 30 to 90 minutes, frequent call disconnections, and vague callback windows that leave patients unable to plan their day. The reception experience is mixed, with some staff noted as welcoming and helpful whilst others are described as discourteous, dismissive, and unhelpful when managing booking requests.

The telephone consultation system and booking process are identified as fundamentally problematic, with patients unable to secure same-day or next-day appointments despite calling at designated times. Several reviewers note that the practice continues to rely heavily on telephone consultations, creating barriers to access. Communication gaps are evident, with patients reporting unanswered e-consultations and unclear information about appointment availability. The practice environment itself receives positive feedback regarding cleanliness and organisation, and some recent reviews indicate operational improvements have been implemented.

Whilst the clinical care experience appears strong, the administrative and reception experience significantly undermines patient satisfaction. The contrast between medical professionalism and booking difficulties suggests systemic operational challenges that require attention to improve overall patient experience and accessibility.

Terrible service from rude receptionist rani

AVOID REGISTERING! This establishment is a complete disappointment because of their RECEPTIONIST RANI! SHE IS INCREDIBLY DISCOURTEOUS ON THE PHONE, EVEN WHEN YOU CALL PRECISELY AT 8AM SHE WILL INSIST NO APPOINTMENT IS AVAILABLE, ACTING LIKE SHE'S THE ULTIMATE AUTHORITY. She practically assumes the role of the doctor! Such behavior is completely unacceptable, and her communication style is so abrasive that you'll be tempted to end the call immediately due to her harsh and unprofessional demeanor. They consistently refuse to schedule appointments even when you contact them punctually, which is absolutely ridiculous. While the other receptionists are helpful and sympathetic, RANI ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM HER POSITION!!!

Worst medical practice ever terrible service

I made multiple attempts over consecutive days to secure a consultation at St Clements Surgery, and the process was incredibly frustrating. The challenge of obtaining an appointment is compounded by the requirement to wait on hold for 20 to 30 minutes every morning at 8am, only to be met with complete failure in scheduling. The staff demonstrate no empathy or customer service, abruptly ending calls without any explanation or apology, leaving patients feeling completely disregarded and helpless.

Poor!

Brilliant doctor hidden behind terrible office staff

Dr Chana undoubtedly demonstrates exceptional medical expertise. However, the practice is significantly undermined by its administrative team. The reception staff display a notable lack of professionalism, appearing disinterested and unhelpful, with no genuine commitment to patient support. Another critical issue is the surgery's continued reliance on telephone consultations as the primary mode of patient interaction, making it challenging to secure appointments, whether remote or in-person. While I understand the practice has been experiencing ongoing pressures, there is an urgent need for greater transparency and proactive problem-solving to enhance patient care. A comprehensive overhaul is necessary, involving a thorough review of both staff performance and operational processes. The fundamental priority for any general practice should be delivering compassionate, accessible, and patient-centered care, which this surgery currently fails to achieve.

Nightmare healthcare with terrible front desk service

Abysmal Front Desk Service Expect to endure a grueling wait of half an hour to an hour and a half when attempting to schedule an appointment by phone at the crack of dawn. If a family member already has a booked slot, you'll be flatly denied and instructed to try again in the following week. After persistently attempting to secure an appointment for three consecutive days, they dismissively suggest contacting an out-of-hours medical center or visiting the emergency department if your condition is truly critical, as they are exclusively handling urgent cases. The reception team demonstrates an appalling level of discourtesy and disrespect.

Excellent doctor but frustrating appointment system

Dr Chana is an excellent physician, but the medical practice's administrative staff are incredibly frustrating. Whenever I attempt to schedule an appointment, I'm consistently told that all slots are fully booked and pre-reserved. Their solution is always to suggest calling back the next morning at 8am, which is completely impractical for someone with a job who isn't even seeking same-day service. I'm genuinely puzzled by their booking system - do appointments mysteriously become available at that specific time? In line with other reviews, while Dr Chana and Dr Solomon are outstanding healthcare professionals, the subpar administrative management is seriously undermining the quality of their medical practice.

Frustrating phone service ruins healthcare experience

Subpar general practice clinic... Despite being technically open, their phone lines are constantly unavailable. I've spent countless attempts trying to secure a single appointment, and this isn't just a one-time occurrence—it happens almost daily. Their phone lines seem perpetually blocked for extended periods. Had I been aware of these communication issues beforehand, I would have never registered with this practice.

Frustrating healthcare with glimpses of hope

Booking an appointment at this clinic is a complete disaster, and the staff's indifference is appalling. Where has genuine patient care gone? The receptionist who usually works the front desk is wonderful and consistently goes above and beyond to assist. The physicians, particularly Dr. Solomon Jr., are also exceptional. However, the remaining staff members are incredibly unhelpful. The appointment scheduling requires you to call at 8 AM sharp, after which you'll be stuck in a queue for sixty minutes - completely impractical for someone commuting underground to work. Their current system is fundamentally broken and urgently requires an overhaul.

Worst medical desk service ever frustrating experience

Absolutely dreadful customer service from the reception staff. I woke up early at 7:15 specifically to secure this medical appointment. When my phone wasn't functioning, I walked 20 minutes to seek in-person assistance. The desk employee was completely unhelpful and dismissive, repeatedly insisting I should call to book, despite my clear explanation about my phone issues. After persistent pleading, she reluctantly took my details but then proceeded to interrogate me about the reason for my appointment right there on the street, through an outdoor buzzer - which felt incredibly inappropriate and invasive. Her unprofessional approach left me feeling exposed and uncomfortable. Fortunately, the alternative contact I was referred to was compassionate and understanding. He booked my appointment elsewhere, recognizing the difficulties I was experiencing. However, I was left feeling extremely frustrated by the initial reception staff's lack of empathy and basic customer service skills. The receptionist's rudeness was truly unacceptable and made an already stressful situation significantly worse.

Great doctors, terrible appointment booking system

The medical professionals at this practice are exceptional, with Dr Solomon and Dr Chana standing out as particularly impressive. Nevertheless, scheduling an appointment is incredibly frustrating. The phone system is a nightmare - you're forced to wait in a lengthy queue, and just when you're near the front after an hour-long wait, the call disconnects. Attempting to rebook means starting over at the back of the line. The administrative processes are clearly broken and desperately need improvement - it shouldn't be this complicated to secure a simple medical consultation.

Nightmare medical appointment system destroys patient care

Absolutely dreadful administrative process. The morning ritual involves calling at 8am and desperately hoping to secure an appointment lottery after enduring hold times between half an hour to an hour and a half. A disinterested receptionist hastily informs you that a GP will call "before 2pm", hanging up before you can confirm details, leaving you uncertain whether they said before or after. Inevitably, during a brief bathroom break - your first moment away from the phone since morning - you miss the consultation by mere moments. A text demands you rebook, triggering another 20-minute reception battle: "I just missed the call by seconds, can the GP call back?" "Sorry, the GP has left a message that you must rebook." "Doesn't the GP normally do a second call?" *prolonged silence* "Sorry, the GP has left a message that you must rebook." "Can I book an appointment?" "Unfortunately, nothing available this afternoon." "Can I book for tomorrow?" "You must call at 8am when lines open". The cycle repeats endlessly. The complete lack of a defined consultation window is infuriating. Being told a call might arrive between 9am-2pm, receiving a single attempt, and then being penalized feels utterly disrespectful. Two years post-pandemic, this surgery continues to rely exclusively on telephone consultations - and executing them poorly. I genuinely hope the management (particularly the Solomon family) critically evaluates this fundamentally broken system. The potential for missed critical diagnoses is alarming. My previous loyalty and defense have evaporated. If our medical professionals cannot implement this basic communication strategy, our healthcare landscape looks deeply concerning.

Worst gp practice ever terrible service everywhere

Goodness. I hardly know where to start. AVOID THIS GP AT ALL COSTS. It's absurd. Absolutely absurd. Their telephone appointment scheduling is a complete disaster. They make you wait over an hour just to inform you they're fully booked. They could have mentioned this earlier instead of wasting my time and causing me to miss work. THE RECEPTION STAFF ARE HORRENDOUS. They all deserve to be fired. It's unbelievable how incompetent they are. Their call handling and communication skills are embarrassingly poor. Even two years ago, before the pandemic, they would constantly gossip among themselves instead of answering urgent patient calls. TO SAVE THIS PRACTICE, THEY NEED A COMPLETE OVERHAUL OF PROFESSIONAL, COMPETENT RECEPTIONISTS. You might wonder why I'm still here? Dr Channa is why. SHE IS AN EXTRAORDINARY DOCTOR. THE MOST EXCEPTIONAL PHYSICIAN I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. SO KNOWLEDGEABLE AND COMPASSIONATE. SHE EXCELS AT PROVIDING REASSURANCE AND COMFORT. I only wish she would relocate to a more deserving practice. I'm certain the other doctors are jealous of her reputation. And they should be - she's absolutely brilliant. DR V SOLOMON desperately needs improvement. He's arrogant and seemingly believes his position is inherited through family connections. If he's reading this, he must revisit and refine his medical skills. His medical license should be seriously reconsidered. He appears to prescribe medications with extensive side effects indiscriminately. Dr S Solomon has been notably absent for years. He should be monitoring his son's professional conduct. I've spoken with numerous patients who consistently complain about identical issues. Excessive wait times, substandard care, unreliable physicians, and discriminatory behavior from both receptionists and doctors. MANAGEMENT MUST URGENTLY REVIEW THESE CONSISTENT CRITICISMS AND ADDRESS THE NUMEROUS SYSTEMIC PROBLEMS. IMMEDIATELY. It's truly shocking how dramatically the quality has deteriorated. The phone booking system remains completely dysfunctional. Even if you miraculously secure an appointment, prepare to waste an entire day waiting for an unpredictable callback. UNBELIEVABLE, RIGHT? E-consultations are equally futile, as doctors consistently fail to respond. I submitted a consultation three weeks ago and remain without any communication. THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATELY SEEK HEALTHCARE ELSEWHERE. If you're currently registered here, seriously consider transferring. I'm actively searching for a new medical practice. I've reached my absolute limit with this establishment.

Both doctors have consistently provided excellent care and handled my health concerns with remarkable effectiveness. I am thoroughly delighted with my decision to transfer to this medical practice.

Amazing doctors who truly care about patients

Dr Solomon and Dr Chana are truly exceptional healthcare professionals who stand out from any other general practitioners I've encountered. Their level of compassion and attentiveness is extraordinary, making patients feel genuinely valued and cared for. Having been their patient for a decade, I can confidently say I've never had a single issue with their practice. The receptionists, Gerija and Ankhi, are equally fantastic, contributing to the clinic's warm and supportive environment. The medical advice I receive here is incredibly insightful, and the overall patient care is remarkable. Having experienced less satisfactory healthcare services in the past, I can honestly say this GP practice is in a league of its own. My recommendation comes from a place of genuine appreciation and comparison with previous medical experiences.

Dr Chana stands out as the most exceptional general practitioner I've encountered! Being a black woman, I've frequently experienced dismissive treatment from healthcare providers in the past.
