Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a significant divide between clinical and administrative experiences at this practice. Medical professionals, particularly several named doctors, consistently receive praise for excellent clinical care, responsiveness, and compassionate treatment. However, this positive assessment is substantially overshadowed by widespread concerns about appointment access, with patients reporting extended phone queues, call disconnections, and difficulty securing timely slots. Reception experience emerges as a persistent challenge, with multiple accounts of discourteous staff, dismissive communication, and poor courtesy during interactions. Prescription processing presents another recurring issue, with patients describing delays and administrative errors that have sometimes resulted in medication gaps.

Operational and administrative management appear to be the core problems undermining the practice's overall service. Patients describe frustration with phone system inefficiency, lengthy waiting times before connecting with staff, and challenges navigating booking procedures. Several reviews highlight communication barriers and a lack of respect during reception interactions, with some patients reporting that staff appeared indifferent to their concerns. The contrast between the quality of medical care and the accessibility barriers is stark, with some patients noting they ultimately resort to emergency services to secure consultations.

While a minority of patients report supportive and accommodating reception experiences, the dominant pattern across feedback indicates that administrative processes and reception courtesy require substantial improvement. The practice appears to struggle with managing patient access and communication effectively, despite maintaining strong clinical standards.

Bad!

Terrible customer service at medical practice

Regrettably, the service falls short of expectations. The administrative staff desperately require improvement, with approximately 90% displaying a lack of empathy and displaying discourteous behavior. They urgently need communication skills training, or alternatively, should consider finding alternative employment if they are dissatisfied with their current role. There's considerably more I could elaborate on, but I'll allow individuals to form their own conclusions. GP Practices have deteriorated significantly since the pandemic.

Exceptional healthcare when it truly matters most

Excellent personnel and medical professionals. Despite the challenges facing healthcare services, my general practitioner was exceptional. They were incredibly responsive and supportive, even during urgent situations outside standard working hours. Grateful for their care.

Rude receptionists make me never want to return

Stuck in the waiting area, I couldn't help but overhear the front desk staff, and their demeanor is absolutely dreadful. Not a hint of courtesy, no basic pleasantries like "thank you" or a simple goodbye. It's clear there are numerous individuals who would excel far more in a customer-oriented position!

Terrible customer service at saint edwards medical centre

My encounter with Saint Edwards Medical Centre was utterly disheartening. Each interaction I've had involves staff members displaying a consistently poor demeanor. During my latest phone conversation, a staff member named Sandra demonstrated extreme discourtesy and unwillingness to provide support. Even when I clearly required help, she complicated the interaction and created unnecessary barriers. Such substandard customer service is completely unacceptable and deeply aggravating for patients seeking medical assistance. A healthcare facility should demonstrate far more professionalism and compassion than what I experienced.

Frustrating registration nightmare at outdated medical practice

Registering here is a nightmare. The front desk staff are dismissive and obstructive. I came prepared with online forms, only to be told they were incorrect. Wasted a quarter-hour filling out new paperwork with identical information. They flatly refused to accept my digital bank statements as address verification - as if everyone still uses paper statements these days! Time to modernize. This bureaucratic approach perfectly illustrates why healthcare systems struggle. I'll be finding a more efficient practice elsewhere.

Terrible service with only decent waiting room benches

This medical practice is an absolute nightmare you'll want to steer clear of. I implore you, for your loved ones' well-being, to seek registration anywhere else and avoid the immense aggravation this place will cause. I'd even suggest consulting an amateur medical practitioner with minimal training before choosing this surgery. If you thoroughly enjoy endless hold music while battling an incompetent receptionist, if you appreciate unpredictable and impossible appointment scheduling, if you relish having your prescriptions repeatedly mishandled, or if you prefer a constant rotation of staff instead of developing a consistent relationship with a single GP, then by all means, proceed! At least the waiting room seating isn't terrible.

Terrible service and unprofessional customer support team

I've repeatedly requested proof of address, and they've consistently failed to resolve my letter. Each time, they offer excuses, speak rudely, and ignore my inquiries. I'm still waiting for a simple signature. Their behavior seems discriminatory and unprofessional, with endless meaningless chatter. They need to stop this discriminatory treatment.

Incredible healthcare team goes above and beyond

I may not comment on other reviews or the past, but I can confidently share my personal journey. This general practice has been absolutely remarkable for my son and me. EVERY single medical professional and staff member I've interacted with has treated me with the highest level of respect and consistently addressed my numerous concerns effectively (and trust me, I have many). The extraordinary patience demonstrated by the receptionists and doctors is truly praiseworthy, especially considering I likely contact them more frequently than my own friends, which I recognize could potentially become tiresome. Completely Outstanding medical practice. Sincere gratitude to EVERYONE for your unwavering support and remarkable consistency. Aqilah and xeno

Poor!

Frustrating medical centre with mixed communication signals

The medical staff at St Edwards are genuinely kind, which is why I'm not giving the lowest rating possible. However, the centre's operational and logistical management is incredibly frustrating right now. I'm currently waiting for a promised phone call at a specific time, yet I'm repeatedly told that they 'don't provide scheduled phone call times'. This contradiction makes absolutely no sense. It's extremely annoying because I've cleared my work schedule and made myself available at their designated time, but I've now been waiting over an hour. Logically, a scheduled phone call should be treated with the same respect as an in-person medical appointment. Communication with some team members during complaint discussions is challenging and ineffective. It seems like the centre needs external guidance on effectively managing a hybrid system of telephone and in-person consultations. From what I can tell, they're not truly committed to implementing this approach successfully.

Frustrating healthcare experience with impossible scheduling

Absolutely frustrating experience. Scheduling an appointment is nearly impossible, requiring me to waste valuable work hours stuck on hold for nearly 60 minutes, only to be met with staff claiming communication issues. Ironically, my hospital specialist advised me to reduce stress, but the process of trying to connect with this office is incredibly anxiety-inducing and counterproductive.

Dialed precisely at the recommended time, only to encounter an infuriating maze of automated responses. Each attempt was met with the same unhelpful error, making scheduling an appointment seemingly impossible.

Frustrating healthcare with occasional bright doctor spot

Scheduling medical consultations proves challenging at this practice. The phone system is frustratingly inefficient, with wait times stretching to 30-45 minutes before even connecting. Dr. Hussain himself is an excellent physician with commendable professional skills. However, the reception staff appear disengaged and seem more interested in socializing than providing attentive service. The repeat prescription process is equally problematic, characterized by significant delays and frequent incomplete medication orders.

Worst medical practice ever avoid at all costs

Absolutely appalling, I'd award a negative rating if possible. It's baffling how this practice continues to operate without facing consequences for their gross misconduct and complete disregard. Securing an appointment here is practically futile - you might as well not even have a general practitioner. The massive backlog of 3 million patients waiting for care is a direct result of clinics like this that show zero concern for public health. I'm preparing a strongly worded letter to my local representative, demanding a comprehensive investigation into this deplorable medical facility.
