Exceptional Care at St. Georges Crescent Surgery

This morning, I visited St. Georges Crescent Surgery for my cortisone injection, and I am incredibly grateful to Doctor Eshan. He is an exceptional physician who genuinely cares about his patients, always willing to take the time to clarify anything you need help with. I must also acknowledge the amazing reception team; they have always treated me exceptionally well. While I'm not familiar with everyone's names, I do recognize Emma, Elisabeth, Leoni, Ann, and Pippa. My apologies if I've overlooked anyone because each of you has shown such kindness and support. Additionally, a special thank you goes out to Nurse Nia for her wonderful assistance during my visits. Loyal Patient Praises Dr Pasha's Child-Friendly Care

Having been a patient for two decades, I can confidently say that I've never encountered any problems with the surgical procedures. The staff is outstanding across the board. Today, Dr. Pasha attended to my two-year-old daughter, and she was giggling and smiling throughout the entire examination. I have been a patient at this surgery for four years and have consistently been satisfied with the care provided. I can easily secure appointments by calling at 8 AM for same-day slots or by scheduling in advance. Both the doctors and the reception staff are friendly and accommodating. During consultations, whether with a doctor or nurse, they demonstrate expertise, compassion, and understanding regarding my concerns. They thoroughly explain all procedures and inform me about what to expect if treatment or tests are necessary. Additionally, the facility is always maintained in a clean and orderly manner.

Reception staff repeatedly ignored chosen name and pronouns

The clinical care I receive is of a high standard, however my experiences with the wider practice staff have been consistently disappointing as a transgender patient. Despite having my chosen name recorded on my file since registering, it has never been used by any member of staff. Following my legal name change, I continued to be addressed by my previous legal name and referred to with incorrect pronouns, even whilst presenting documentation of this change. The practice appears to lack training in providing respectful and dignified care to transgender patients. I am aware of other transgender individuals using this practice, yet staff members frequently ask questions about transgender-related terminology and concepts during appointments that are unrelated to the reason for my visit, which suggests a gap in their understanding of appropriate professional conduct. Accessing care requires significant personal effort and persistence. The telephone reception service is particularly problematic, with calls frequently being disconnected or transferred inappropriately to the pharmacy, who direct callers back to the doctor—the very reason for attempting to book an appointment by phone in the first place. This means appointments must be booked in person, which undermines the purpose of having a staffed telephone line, particularly given that same-day slots are typically unavailable after early morning hours.

I have been the first caller in the queue since 8:00. Do you actually begin your work at 8 as stated on your website, or is there a delay for breakfast and some chatting? It's baffling that my call hasn't been picked up after waiting for 15 minutes when I'm clearly at the front of the line. This situation is quite ridiculous, especially when individuals are attempting to reach out to schedule crucial appointments! Pharmacy Error Leads to Frustrating Customer Experience

Yesterday, my mother came home after receiving a prescription for antibiotics along with pain relief medication due to her condition. Unfortunately, one of the slips from the pharmacy got lost. To address this issue regarding the antibiotics, I visited the surgery to report it. However, I was met with an unpleasant attitude from the receptionist. She then called over another staff member who instructed us to call back at six o'clock for a resolution. When I did call at that time, I encountered yet again the same unfriendly demeanor from another lady who told me to try again tomorrow. Today we made another attempt and almost faced further frustration before insisting on securing a doctor's appointment since she is experiencing considerable pain after leaving the hospital and urgently requires her medications.
