Reception staff made appointment booking difficult

I would rate them lower if possible. The receptionist appeared to take satisfaction in informing me that no appointments were available, which I found to be an unprofessional approach to patient care. This type of conduct would be considered unacceptable in most professional settings.

I am an older female patient with chronic health conditions. I developed a concerning issue on my back that requires regular medical attention and dressing care. When I contacted the surgery for an appointment, I was informed that none were available and was directed to attend the accident and emergency department instead. I am disappointed with the level of service I have experienced.

The clinician indicated there were no concerns, though I felt this assessment was inadequate given my child's symptoms. I questioned the professional competence of the staff involved. If it were possible to give a lower rating, I would do so without hesitation. The consultation felt limited, with only basic over-the-counter pain relief suggested as a solution. I am frustrated with the value provided, particularly given the resources allocated to NHS services.

Impossible to book appointments, long waits at reception

I found this practice to be extremely disappointing. The level of patient care appears to be lacking, and I had concerns about the clinical competence of one particular clinician who seemed disengaged with their work. Getting an appointment is very difficult, whether in person or by telephone. A family member attended an appointment and waited over an hour past their scheduled time without being seen. When they checked with reception, it became apparent there had been an administrative error and they hadn't been properly registered. They were then rushed through a very brief consultation. Another family member with a significant respiratory condition attended an urgent appointment after experiencing voice loss and chest tightness around the throat area. The clinician appeared unfamiliar with the case, did not review the medical history, and seemed uncertain about the appropriate course of action. They prescribed antihistamines without providing any explanation of the reasoning, diagnosis, or treatment plan. I would not recommend this practice and would be particularly hesitant to attend if facing a serious health concern.

Phone booking system let me down badly

Extremely disappointing experience. I waited almost two weeks for an appointment, only to arrive at the practice and discover there was no record of my booking. I had arranged the appointment by telephone for a sensitive matter that is causing me considerable stress. The situation was particularly upsetting as I felt blamed for the error while standing in front of other patients, which added to my embarrassment and distress.
