Called the clinic yesterday morning around half-past ten to request an urgent consultation regarding a painful urinary tract infection. Dr. Raymond promptly returned my call within sixty minutes and immediately dispatched an antibiotic prescription directly to the pharmacy. Sincere appreciation goes to the helpful receptionist and Dr. Raymond for their swift and considerate response.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical care

Absolutely appalling medical practice that I cannot endorse. My partner sought treatment for a critical ear infection and was initially examined by a junior physician. Inexplicably, the prescription was left unsigned, causing significant inconvenience. We made two separate trips to the pharmacy, only to discover after four frustrating hours that the prescription remained unsigned. Bizarrely, the staff suggested going to the emergency department if the condition worsened, which seemed contradictory - serious enough to warrant emergency care, yet not urgent enough to promptly sign the necessary medication. These pointless pharmacy visits have been incredibly irritating. As a result, we will definitely be transferring my partner's medical care to a different practice. The entire experience was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

Improved service and helpful staff at st james

Several years ago, I posted a critical review. However, subsequent visits have significantly improved my perception, especially today with Saima's exceptional care. She recommended a physiotherapy app to help manage my nerve pain on 14.4.25. Despite my appreciation, communication challenges have been frustrating. Attempting to contact St James repeatedly on Tuesday and Wednesday, I found the lines constantly busy. On Thursday, calling 111 yielded no response after an hour. Friday's 111 call at 8 am required a 40-minute wait before connecting. They promised a callback within 6 hours, which arrived after 5 hours, directing me to an SMS sent at 11 am. I was moments away from visiting a walk-in center. St James requested a patient and staff protection photo. After sending the image, I was told it was corrupted and was asked to resend. Feeling discouraged, I declined their request. The entire experience has been exhaustingly difficult to navigate.

The appointment scheduling process is outdated and frustrating. Patients must start dialing at 8am and repeatedly redial around 50 times just to secure a slot. Consistently, when requesting a specific general practitioner, I'm redirected to a nurse, which necessitates rebooking another appointment. This has occurred multiple times. Given my demanding professional commitments, these repeated complications significantly disrupt my schedule. The entire experience is so discouraging that I actively avoid calling when unwell, feeling both unwelcome and exhausted by the persistent systemic failures.

Frustrating medical appointment nightmare with no resolution

I attempted to contact the office 128 times this morning, consistently encountering busy signals and disconnections. Eventually, I managed to get through and was supposedly second in line. Oddly, I was informed a doctor would call me at some point during the day. However, no call ever came. When I tried to follow up, I was told the doctors attempted to reach me three times, yet I have no missed calls or voicemail messages. This has been an utterly frustrating experience, wasting an entire day waiting for an appointment, especially considering I have a hospital visit scheduled tomorrow.

Nightmare medical practice with impossible appointment system

This medical practice desperately needs an overhaul or closure. I've spent three consecutive days attempting to schedule an appointment - Monday I called 50 times, Tuesday 48 times, Wednesday 51 times - all without success. It's impossible to understand what steps are necessary to secure a consultation. The receptionist is an arrogant older woman who seems to believe she's infallible. These are unquestionably the most incompetent doctors I've ever encountered. They urgently require a complete staff replacement or should simply shut down. I wouldn't even recommend registering with this practice to anyone - they are utterly useless. Their staff have zero professional skills and completely lack basic courtesy. I'm bewildered by the process of trying to get a simple medical appointment. The complete inability to provide basic service is astounding. What exactly are our tax dollars funding, if not basic healthcare services?

Amazing medical care that truly supports families

We genuinely cannot comprehend any critical feedback about this medical practice. Having relocated from Middleton, where securing a phone connection or booking an appointment has always been challenging, we've found St James Medical Centre to be exceptional. We consistently manage to obtain same-day consultations, and every staff member is incredibly supportive. Our interactions with all the doctors have been consistently outstanding, with their approach being consistently accommodating. They are particularly compassionate and attentive when dealing with our child. We feel incredibly fortunate to be registered here. Several of our acquaintances in other areas have been compelled to invest in private medical applications for their children due to extensive waiting periods.

Completely worthless establishment where the receptionists act like they're in charge. I attempted communication via email, only to receive dismissive responses about confidentiality without actually addressing my message. If they'd bother to carefully read the correspondence instead of firing off standard boilerplate replies, they might understand I wasn't requesting any sensitive details. This medical practice is essentially dysfunctional and seems to serve only a privileged minority. Additionally, if you're foolish enough to enter through the main entrance seeking an appointment, the staff will promptly instruct you to exit and phone them instead 😂😂
