Disappointingly useless.

As a recent resident in southport, I had an acute need to see a doctor. After trying for two days to register online, which didn't work, so i had to go in. I was then told it would be at least a week to register, that i would have to keep calling to find out if i was registered or not before finally having an unknown wait time after that to actually get an appointment. When I asked if there was any way to see a doctor, I was told to just go to A+E, that there was no other option. Can't make an appointment, and already trust is undermined.

Caring doctors and staff make st marks shine

St Marks is an outstanding medical practice. While securing an appointment can be tricky, as is common with many GP offices these days, I generally find their scheduling quite manageable. The doctors are genuinely attentive, with one physician being particularly exceptional. Their nursing staff are not only competent and professional but also warm and approachable. Regarding the front desk team - contrary to the stereotypical perception of GP receptionists being intimidating - I've consistently found the staff here to be remarkably accommodating and pleasant. They always strive to assist me and maintain a welcoming demeanor. Considering my personal interactions, I can wholeheartedly endorse St Marks without any reservations.

The clinic is exceptionally well-run, with a welcoming reception team that truly goes the extra mile to secure timely doctor appointments within their scheduling constraints. Even when occasional challenging patients arise, the staff handles these situations adeptly and always provides alternative solutions. While the clinic can get quite busy, patient flow remains efficient, with wait times rarely exceeding 15-20 minutes - quite reasonable given the high daily patient volume. The pharmacy personnel are remarkably knowledgeable and supportive. The medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, are approachable and genuinely committed to understanding the underlying reasons for patient visits. Having been a patient at St Marks for numerous years, I can confidently say it's an extremely well-organized healthcare facility. Kudos to the entire team for maintaining such high standards of care. Update 16/9/25 Today's blood test was performed by nurse Elizabeth, who is absolutely exceptional. Her professionalism, kindness, and consideration are outstanding. She creates an incredibly welcoming environment that immediately puts patients at ease during procedures. I was thoroughly impressed with my visit and Elizabeth's remarkable approach to patient care. Continued excellent work! 😊
