Patient feedback reflects a mixed experience with the practice. Medical professionals are consistently described as competent and compassionate, with several patients highlighting positive interactions with doctors and noting responsive, attentive care. However, reception and administrative services present a significant concern, with multiple reports of unhelpful staff, difficult appointment access, and lengthy waiting periods. Patients describe challenges securing appointments within reasonable timeframes, with some facing four to five week waits, alongside complaints about inconsistent communication and dismissive reception experiences. The practice environment and booking system appear to create frustration, particularly when patients attempt to arrange NHS-requested screenings or navigate registration processes.
Positive feedback emphasises the welcoming atmosphere when reception staff are helpful, the efficiency of digital consultation systems, and the reassurance patients feel from continuity of care with particular doctors. Several patients report feeling genuinely heard and valued during medical consultations. Conversely, negative experiences centre on poor communication regarding test results and diagnoses, inadequate responsiveness to multiple contact attempts, and administrative disorganisation that leaves patients confused about appointment availability and practice policies.
The feedback suggests a practice where clinical care quality contrasts with administrative challenges, creating an inconsistent patient experience that depends significantly on which reception staff members patients encounter and their ability to navigate appointment booking systems.

Excellent!
Supportive doctors who really care
Exceptional medical practice. They've been incredibly supportive throughout various health challenges I've faced, even some more serious conditions. The staff have also been particularly compassionate in addressing my concerns about my infant's wellbeing.

Terrible Service Ignored My Complaint
Should have a zero-star rating option! I sent a complaint about my appalling experience and received a dismissive text response, followed by complete silence. Absolutely unacceptable treatment. I'm baffled by their decline, as they used to provide excellent service even during the lockdown period.

Disappointing customer support with moody vibes
This platform claims to offer guidance and support, but falls short of creating a trustworthy environment. Their customer service is subpar and lacks genuine commitment. There's a noticeable absence of empathy, emotional intelligence, and professional demeanor. The overall energy feels negative and unproductive. Their interactions come across as dismissive and unengaged, making customers feel uncomfortable and exposed. The staff behave like immature, apathetic adolescents who aren't invested in helping. 🙄

Missed my cancer diagnosis completely
My healthcare provider downplayed my condition, casually suggesting vitamin deficiencies and dietary changes when I actually had acute myeloid leukemia. I only learned the serious truth when the hospital called to schedule treatment, and they were stunned that my primary care doctor hadn't directly communicated my diagnosis. This complete failure of professional communication has permanently destroyed my trust in this medical practice.

Long Wait for a Simple Appointment
Getting an appointment scheduled is quite the challenge when you're looking at a four-week waiting period for something not yet confirmed. And that's assuming you've got the patience to spend hours trying to connect by phone. One has to wonder: is this standard practice, or is it a symptom of South Glos council and property developers exploiting the situation by constructing thousands of homes against local residents' preferences, all while completely neglecting infrastructure and already overwhelmed community services?

Great!
Friendly doctors with quick appointments
This medical facility is truly exceptional! It reminds me of how doctor's offices used to operate two decades ago. The personnel are courteous, supportive, and streamlined, and I've consistently received top-notch care when necessary. I suspect those complaining might be treating the staff disrespectfully instead of expressing gratitude for their hard work. Karma has its way of balancing things out! Previously, at another practice, scheduling an appointment meant waiting at least six weeks for a telephone consultation, and even longer for an in-person visit! In contrast, here I can contact reception and secure an appointment within a week. I'm genuinely puzzled by the negative comments. I enthusiastically endorse this medical practice.

Caring Staff Help Me Through Health Challenges
I strongly endorse St Mary's Street Surgery. The reception staff have consistently demonstrated helpfulness and expertise, even during hectic periods. The physicians I've encountered are thoroughly professional, compassionate, and attentive. The continuous medical support and guidance they've provided have been an absolute blessing for my family.

Doctors Okay, But Staff Not Worth the Wait
The Doctors at St Mary Street Surgery are quite competent. Similar to many NHS practices, St Mary's Street Surgery is staffed with discourteous and inefficient administrative personnel. The appointment waiting periods are excessively lengthy, and I cannot in good conscience endorse this medical facility. Truthfully, I receive superior care from my neighborhood veterinary clinic. Contemporary physicians seem disinclined to thoroughly examine injuries, instead hastily prescribing various medications, while any more complex medical issues are summarily redirected to hospital treatment...

Ignored During a Mental Health Crisis
If you have any concern for your well-being, I strongly advise against choosing this medical practice. They demonstrate complete indifference to patient health and individual medical concerns. Throughout the pandemic, I've battled significant mental health challenges and attempted to communicate with my doctor through multiple channels - phone calls, emails, and contact forms - yet they have consistently ignored every single attempt to reach out. Given the current alarming rates of mental health issues and suicide, I'm deeply worried about other vulnerable individuals who might have experienced the same dismissive treatment when seeking critical support. The lack of compassion is truly heartbreaking, and I'm genuinely distressed thinking about people desperately seeking help being systematically overlooked. Additionally, despite my age group being eligible for vaccination weeks ago, I've received zero communication or information about my COVID immunization. Repeated attempts to inquire about this have been met with the same wall of silence. Their behavior is utterly unacceptable and profoundly unprofessional.

Mixed Care at the Front Desk
Medical staff like doctors and nurses are competent... however, their reception team leaves much to be desired. When you encounter one of these particularly unhelpful front desk employees (and you'll definitely recognize them), my recommendation is to terminate the call and attempt to reach the clinic again another time, hoping to connect with a more supportive and cooperative receptionist.
