Feedback across this file reveals a practice struggling significantly with administrative and operational functions, creating substantial barriers to patient access. Appointment booking presents persistent challenges, with patients reporting difficulties reaching the practice by phone, encountering non-functional online systems, and experiencing extended waiting times both to schedule and to be seen. Reception experience emerges as a key concern, with multiple accounts of discourteous interactions, unresponsiveness, and staff appearing indifferent to patient needs. Communication failures are widespread, including delayed responses to queries, unanswered callback requests, and poor coordination between departments.
In contrast, clinical care from medical professionals receives notably more positive feedback, with patients frequently describing doctors and nurses as competent, professional, and genuinely supportive when consultations finally occur. Several patients specifically praised individual clinicians for their expertise and compassionate approach. This stark difference between clinical and administrative performance suggests the practice's core challenge lies in its organisational systems and front-facing staff rather than the quality of medical care itself.
Patients express frustration that accessing healthcare should not require such persistent effort, and many report the experience as emotionally draining. The combination of booking difficulties, communication breakdowns, and reception discourtesy has led some patients to seek alternative providers, despite acknowledging the competence of the medical staff. Systemic improvements to appointment access, phone responsiveness, and administrative coordination appear essential to address the widespread dissatisfaction evident throughout the feedback.

Terrible medical centre with dangerous misinformation
This medical centre is absolutely terrible. The staff lacks proper training, and the general practitioner dispenses inaccurate guidance. This isn't a trivial matter—it involves human lives. I urge them to be more attentive and ensure they deliver precise information when individuals are seeking assistance.

Endless wait on hold for medical help
St Paul's way medical centre is a complete nightmare, getting an appointment is utterly futile, receptionists insist on online booking, but when you attempt to book online, no slots are ever available. Recently, I received a text from the surgery requesting I call to discuss my blood test results. Upon calling, I was left waiting on hold for an hour and 45 minutes, and by the time I could potentially speak to someone, the surgery had already shut down, leaving me with zero communication. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE, STEER CLEAR OF THIS FACILITY, THEY ARE ENTIRELY INEFFECTIVE. IF THE RATING SYSTEM ALLOWED ZERO STARS, I WOULD DEFINITELY CHOOSE THAT OPTION.

Frustrating online booking nightmare
This establishment is absolutely terrible when it comes to providing information and scheduling appointments. Their online platform has recently undergone changes, making it impossible to locate what I need through searching. As a result, I'm forced to phone them repeatedly just to obtain the booking link, which is incredibly frustrating. Moreover, each phone call can drag on for an exasperating 40 minutes to an hour!

Worst healthcare nightmare ever seen
Taxpayers in the UK are funding what amounts to a fraudulent healthcare facility. This establishment represents the absolute bottom of the barrel in medical services.

Frustrating wait and last-minute cancellation
Denied service due to arriving 10 minutes past my appointment time. The Practice demonstrated zero understanding, especially considering they frequently run behind schedule themselves. When I requested an immediate rescheduling at the front desk, they insisted I must restart the entire booking process online, only to discover the submission system was inexplicably shut down for the day. Their approach showcases an absolute absence of compassion and adaptability.

Dismissive doctor ignored my urgent pain
I urgently reached out to my GP about a critical medical problem first thing in the morning, experiencing intense suffering and discomfort. Dr Lalloo responded with a text message that completely disregarded my urgent concerns, suggesting I visit another treatment facility and contact them the next day. I am absolutely outraged that this medical issue apparently doesn't warrant immediate attention, especially since the recommended treatment centre is far from my home while my GP's office is just minutes away. Unable to endure this pain, the doctor could have easily provided temporary relief by prescribing a simple cream. Dr Lalloo deserves to be terminated from their position, and I strongly advise against anyone scheduling appointments with this unprofessional and heartless individual who shows zero compassion for patients' well-being.

Long wait times drive me crazy
The general practice clinic is incredibly disorganized. Scheduled appointments are consistently delayed, with patients waiting hours past their designated time. For instance, a 12 pm slot often results in being seen around 2 pm. This is completely unacceptable. Moreover, they frequently modify appointment times arbitrarily, shifting from 11:39 am to 2 pm, and then suddenly changing again to 3 pm within minutes of a follow-up call. Such unpredictable scheduling is unfair and disrespectful. People have professional commitments and responsibilities, and these constant changes are incredibly inconvenient. They need to understand the impact of their poor time management.

Booking a nightmare at st paul's way
Booking an appointment has been an absolute nightmare. I've been struggling for months now. The management at this practice clearly needs a complete overhaul. St Paul's Way Medical Centre should seriously review their customer feedback; these persistent problems keep coming up time and again. Your service quality is unacceptable and desperately requires improvement!

Broken website and rude staff nightmare
The Worst NHS Experience in 15 Years – Avoid St. Paul Medical Center at All Costs. I've been a patient at St. Paul Medical Center for two years, and it has been an absolute nightmare. Throughout my 15-year experience with NHS services in London, this is undoubtedly the most incompetent and dysfunctional healthcare provider I've encountered. The website has been non-functional since February 2024, rendering online appointment booking impossible. When trying to schedule in person, the reception staff—who are woefully untrained and inept—insist on sending a text message with a booking link that invariably fails. Why is it so challenging to allow patients to book appointments directly? This level of inefficiency is completely unacceptable. The reception is staffed by individuals who demonstrate zero understanding of their basic professional duties. They appear completely ignorant about NHS operations and seem oblivious that taxpayers fund their wages. Their profound lack of professionalism and expertise is shocking, and their dismissive approach to patient concerns clearly indicates they are fundamentally unsuited to their roles. Medical care here is essentially non-existent. Repeat prescriptions remain unprocessed after three months, leaving patients without critical medications. Doctors display total indifference to patient welfare, consistently failing to provide follow-up care or adequate medical attention. Even obtaining a simple sick note becomes an exhausting ordeal. St. Paul Medical Center is a catastrophically failing institution that should either be completely overhauled or permanently closed. Patients deserve far better than this deplorable excuse for healthcare. This place is so substandard that it would be unacceptable even in the most underdeveloped regions.

Booking nightmare at this broken clinic
Absolutely dreadful healthcare facility that I've ever been associated with. Trying to schedule a consultation is a nightmare - they provide an online booking link, but it's only functional for a brief window in the morning. Phone calls go unanswered, and attempting to book in person is equally futile. The personnel appear completely indifferent to patients' needs and show zero concern for your medical problems. Even a single star rating feels overly generous for this abysmal service.

Booking nightmare at local gp practice
I've experienced major difficulties scheduling an appointment, coupled with inconsistent and unreliable information from staff members across different interactions. Despite living in London for years, this is undoubtedly the most disappointing encounter I've had with a GP practice. When I visited in person to book an appointment, the receptionist provided incorrect details, and subsequent phone calls were equally unhelpful, with representatives offering misleading guidance. Each attempt to seek assistance felt like encountering a wall of indifference, with no one genuinely interested in helping me effectively. The process of securing a simple appointment has been incredibly frustrating and emotionally draining. I never anticipated such poor service from a healthcare provider in this city. This experience represents the absolute lowest standard of professional support I've encountered. It's particularly infuriating that our tax contributions fund such substandard service, and the staff appear completely disinterested. After three weeks of persistent efforts, I remain unable to schedule an appointment, which is completely unacceptable.

Endless wait for a two-minute doctor visit
Absolutely frustrated with this service - if I could rate it lower than zero, I would. The lack of available resources results in ridiculously extended wait periods, making it nearly impossible to secure even the briefest two-minute consultation with a general practitioner.

Son's painful cold and gp runaround
Absolutely shocking general practice surgery experience. Their online consultation promises a call within two days, but they delay and push appointments further. After six years in the area, I've never received satisfactory service. They consistently refuse patient consultations. Recently, my son suffered a severe cold with swollen neck glands, causing significant pain while eating and speaking. I contacted 111 for an emergency appointment, knowing the GP would be unhelpful. When I called to confirm the booking, they demanded a COVID test, forcing unnecessary complications. I proactively tested my son to prevent potential spread, yet they still insisted on additional testing before a face-to-face consultation. The entire process was frustratingly bureaucratic. Receptionists and doctors were incredibly unprofessional, threatening to end the call and offering only phone consultations. Eventually, we secured a face-to-face appointment, but not before my son missed two school days. Compared to my previous experience in St Albans, this surgery is monumentally disappointing. Their service feels deliberately negligent, seemingly exploiting the area's socio-economic challenges. I attempted to complain through official channels, but it feels futile - they appear indifferent to patient needs. Ultimately, self-diagnosis through online research seems more effective than engaging with this dysfunctional healthcare provider. It's genuinely disheartening how little they seem to care about patient welfare.

Months of waiting for a simple test
I'm continuing to await the outcomes of a blood draw performed last October. The consultation I anticipated today (in January 2025) never materialized, with no communication from the medical staff. Now the appointment has been rescheduled to February, which means a four-month delay since the initial blood work was completed.
