Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality across different areas of the practice. Medical staff, including doctors and nurses, consistently receive praise for compassionate care, thorough consultations, and professional expertise. Vaccination services have been particularly well-received, with patients noting efficient queue management and courteous staff. However, appointment scheduling emerges as a persistent challenge, with patients reporting difficulties reaching the practice by phone, lengthy waiting times to connect, and frustration with same-day-only booking systems that prove impractical for those in employment. Reception experience is similarly inconsistent, with some patients describing staff as welcoming and helpful whilst others report dismissive or disrespectful behaviour.
Communication and responsiveness present ongoing concerns, particularly regarding medication management, prescription processing delays, and follow-up contact. Several patients describe registration processes as complicated and poorly coordinated, with lost documents and unclear next steps. Waiting times for appointments, once secured, are generally accepted when patients understand this reflects thorough clinical attention, though some report feeling rushed during consultations. The practice lacks an online booking system, which patients identify as a significant gap in modern service provision.
When patients successfully access clinical care, satisfaction levels are notably high, with many expressing gratitude for attentive listening and individualised treatment. The disconnect appears most acute between reception access barriers and the quality of care once appointments are obtained, suggesting organisational and communication improvements could substantially enhance overall patient experience.

Dangerous medical negligence puts patient's life at risk
My partner underwent triple bypass surgery and requires ongoing medication, yet St. Peters has been consistently mishandling his prescription for nine months. Despite him meticulously emailing the precise list of medications prescribed by Cambridge Papworth Hospital's Cardio Thoracic Surgeons - critical drugs needed to prevent blood clots and support post-surgical recovery - they continue to provide incorrect prescriptions. Today, when he went to collect his medication, the errors persisted. Their apparent negligence raises a disturbing question: are they deliberately endangering his life? It's absolutely clear that this medical practice demonstrates a complete disregard for patient care and basic medical responsibility.

Disappointing medical care with unhelpful staff
The front desk staff seem indifferent to patient concerns unless it's a life-threatening emergency. Multiple times, I've been redirected to the pharmacy for medical issues that genuinely require a doctor's examination. As a healthcare professional, I can confidently say these referrals were inappropriate. When I reached the pharmacy, the staff were equally perplexed about why the general practitioner hadn't seen me directly and why I was sent to them for consultations.

Exceptional doctor who truly cares about patients
Dr. Fadi is exceptional – absolutely a perfect 10. His compassionate approach, professional demeanor, and meticulous care have consistently ensured I feel completely supported. It's truly disappointing to learn of his upcoming departure; his absence will be deeply felt. The Practice will undoubtedly be transformed without his presence.

Disappointing service left me seeking new gp
On 07/07, I reached out with some pressing health concerns. They promptly scheduled me for a blood test the very next day, 08/07. After being told I'd receive results within a few days, I followed up on 14/07 to inquire about my test outcomes. They confirmed everything was normal. When I explained that I'm experiencing ongoing issues impacting my work performance and requested a follow-up appointment, the response was disappointing. I was told I'd be placed on a waiting list and contacted when an opening became available. When I pointed out this approach differed from my previous experience, they claimed it was a new policy implemented recently - despite my appointment being just a week ago. The interaction left me feeling deceived and dismissed, with no clarity on why I'm struggling to maintain my usual work productivity. Needless to say, I transferred to a different GP practice within half an hour of this frustrating conversation.

Neglected health concerns left me desperate and frustrated
My surgical experience has been absolutely terrible. My blood test results indicate long-standing liver issues, but despite my repeated attempts, no physician will authorize a diagnostic scan. I've been in tears, desperately pleading with five separate medical professionals, and none of them are listening to my concerns. This medical practice is completely incompetent. THIS IS CLEAR MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE!! STAY AWAY from this practice - they completely disregard patient health concerns!!

Dangerous delay in baby's critical reflux medication
On Friday, 27 June 2025, I submitted a repeat prescription request via email for my 4-month-old baby battling severe reflux. Despite repeated attempts through various communication channels, the prescription remained unprocessed in the NHS app, complicating future medication ordering. By Monday evening, 30 June 2025, the delay forced us to ration Gaviscon, resulting in increased infant distress and frequent vomiting occurring 4-5 times after each feed. This situation was particularly challenging during the heatwave, with growing concerns about potential dehydration as the baby was feeding less frequently and for shorter durations during reflux episodes. These circumstances have historically impacted his weight, causing significant drops in weight percentiles and affecting milk intake. We followed up with a call on Tuesday morning and were told the prescription would be marked urgent and ready that afternoon. However, we were also informed we should have received a two-month supply, yet the prescription only provided 60 sachets - insufficient given the recommended dosage of 2 sachets 4-6 times daily. During a vaccination appointment on Wednesday, 2 July 2025, we again inquired about the prescription and were assured of its urgent status, suggesting it had not been processed as previously promised. Ultimately, we were compelled to purchase Gaviscon privately, as the NHS prescription remained unprocessed at the pharmacy by Wednesday's end. While we have generally been satisfied with the surgery, this complete disregard for a vulnerable infant's medical needs, despite multiple follow-ups, is absolutely unacceptable!!!!!!

Terrible service with zero customer support
Recently signed up and it's a complete mockery. Half a day of non-stop messaging with repetitive, useless responses. Ignoring communication should be considered a legal violation. Absolutely disappointed. As a laryngectomy patient, I find their service appalling, with only a few staff showing any genuine care. The chorus of one-star reviews speaks volumes. Thankfully, I have supportive friends and my medications to get me through this frustrating experience. I'm thoroughly dissatisfied.

Confusing appointment process left me frustrated
On May 28 at 10 AM, I attempted to schedule an appointment, but the receptionist claimed it wasn't urgent and could only arrange a GP consultation for May 29 at 10 AM. When I specifically asked if I would see the GP at that time, she confirmed I would. However, when I arrived at the surgery center at 10 AM the next day, another receptionist initially stated I had no appointment. After discussing my symptoms, she ultimately scheduled me for the same day in the afternoon. I want to address the receptionist from May 28 at 10 AM: it is unacceptable to mislead patients and provide inconsistent information. Your approach was disrespectful, and I am fully aware of the situation and your actions.

Unfair parking fine destroys peace of mind
Got slapped with a parking ticket during a lengthy medical appointment in the hospital parking area. A doctor assured me not to stress and that everything would be okay. Recently, I've been hit with a shocking £1200 penalty that I'm now expected to settle.

Poor!
Mixed care and unprofessional staff at clinic
I experienced excellent medical attention from my assigned nurse. However, during my wait, I witnessed the front desk staff treating an elderly patient with shocking disrespect. They were completely indifferent to his questions, and would exchange condescending glances behind his back. Their unprofessional behavior made me feel that if I needed to interact with them about my own medical needs, I would have felt extremely uncomfortable and discouraged.

Compassionate care that saved my life
I'm dealing with numerous health challenges and frequently visit the clinic, but Dr. Horlock and Dr. Robin have consistently shown that my frequent visits are never an inconvenience. While some patients complain about waiting times, I'm simply thankful for the incredible compassion and support I receive. Without their help, I wouldn't be alive today, nor would I have accomplished significant personal milestones like my weight loss and home adaptations that enable my independence. The entire medical team, including nurses and healthcare assistants, have been incredibly supportive. As patients, we are incredibly fortunate to be registered at a practice where everyone demonstrates such genuine care. If appointments run behind schedule, it's because they are genuinely committed to providing thorough care, ensuring each patient leaves with a clear understanding or treatment plan. They prioritize patient needs over strict time constraints, always striving to deliver the best possible medical attention.

Quick service with a surprising doctor's note
St Peter's consistently excels at efficiently guiding and directing patients through their healthcare process. If you manage to schedule an appointment promptly, the entire experience is remarkably streamlined, with medical staff demonstrating exceptional helpfulness and empathy, ensuring appropriate treatment. However, I must point out that certain physicians should exercise more caution, recognizing that patient notes are now accessible via the NHS app. I found it particularly uncomfortable to discover I had been characterized as 'very dramatic' following my recent telehealth consultation. Notwithstanding this concern, I would still endorse their services.

Amazing healthcare team at st peters clinic
I'd like to share my experience with St. Peters, where the entire team has been incredibly supportive from the moment I arrived. The reception staff and medical professionals have consistently demonstrated exceptional service, always striving to accommodate my healthcare needs and schedule appointments whenever possible. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Doctor Ali, who has shown remarkable care, empathy, and understanding throughout my interactions. Her compassionate approach truly stands out. Kudos to the entire team for maintaining such high standards of patient care 👍

Quick and convenient medical service at st peter's
Recently signed up with St Peter's, primarily because of its convenient public transit accessibility. When I called to schedule a blood test on 2/12/24, I was thoroughly impressed by the friendly reception staff and how quickly I was able to secure an appointment. Absolutely deserving of a perfect 5-star rating.

Reliable service but booking needs serious upgrade
I've consistently had positive experiences with this service. However, their lack of an online appointment scheduling system is a significant drawback. It's surprising and inconvenient that in our current technological era, they haven't implemented a digital booking option.

Compassionate care at its very best
I have absolutely no complaints about this medical practice. After returning to Southampton, I've encountered a few health concerns, with one being particularly persistent, but the healthcare team has been exceptional. The nurse practitioners (whose names escape me) and my female doctor have been incredibly supportive. The front desk staff are courteous and efficient, and so far, my experience has been nothing short of excellent! My sincere gratitude :)
