Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality across different areas of the practice. Medical staff, including doctors and nurses, consistently receive praise for compassionate care, thorough consultations, and professional expertise. Vaccination services have been particularly well-received, with patients noting efficient queue management and courteous staff. However, appointment scheduling emerges as a persistent challenge, with patients reporting difficulties reaching the practice by phone, lengthy waiting times to connect, and frustration with same-day-only booking systems that prove impractical for those in employment. Reception experience is similarly inconsistent, with some patients describing staff as welcoming and helpful whilst others report dismissive or disrespectful behaviour.
Communication and responsiveness present ongoing concerns, particularly regarding medication management, prescription processing delays, and follow-up contact. Several patients describe registration processes as complicated and poorly coordinated, with lost documents and unclear next steps. Waiting times for appointments, once secured, are generally accepted when patients understand this reflects thorough clinical attention, though some report feeling rushed during consultations. The practice lacks an online booking system, which patients identify as a significant gap in modern service provision.
When patients successfully access clinical care, satisfaction levels are notably high, with many expressing gratitude for attentive listening and individualised treatment. The disconnect appears most acute between reception access barriers and the quality of care once appointments are obtained, suggesting organisational and communication improvements could substantially enhance overall patient experience.

Impressive improvements at st peters medical practice
I've observed significant improvements at St Peters surgery, all of which are positive. The new sit and wait approach and the fresh staff members are impressive. My interactions with the personnel have been consistently professional, courteous, and discreet. I sincerely hope this high standard continues, and I want to commend the team for their excellent work.

Bad!
Worst service ever for an elderly customer
Absolutely awful experience. Forced to wait more than sixty minutes without any explanation, simply abandoned and left hanging. Deeply disheartening to see an elderly individual of 89 years treated with such disrespect and neglect. Completely unacceptable and disgraceful.

Great service with minor app booking limitation
I've visited this medical practice twice since changing providers, and the staff have been responsive and efficient in addressing my health concerns. The handover between general practitioners was seamless, and securing appointments and medication refills has been quite straightforward. My sole recommendation would be to implement an app-based booking system.

Terrible service and lost patient files everywhere
We initially chose St Peter's surgery as our new healthcare provider since they were accepting new patients. After completing the registration paperwork, we waited patiently for weeks without hearing back. When we finally contacted them to inquire about scheduling a doctor's appointment, we were informed that my husband's registration was not processed and he would need to re-submit the form because they had misplaced his file. Subsequently, they also managed to lose my wife's registration documents. Due to their consistent lack of organization and poor communication about appointment scheduling, I cannot in good conscience recommend St Peter's surgery to anyone.

Poor!
Unprofessional and unresponsive medical practice nightmare
I scheduled an early morning appointment at 7:30 am. Upon arriving at the surgery, I pressed the buzzer, but received no response. The parking area was completely empty, and no signs of activity were visible. When I tried the buzzer again while leaving, still no answer. Peering through the window, I found the interior pitch black with not a single light illuminated. When I returned later and reported these details to reception, their dismissive reply was "nothing could be made with this information" - leaving me simultaneously sad and bewildered. I'm uncertain whether I should even express gratitude for their offer to reschedule...

Terrible service that fails to help anyone
Terrible employees who show zero empathy or flexibility for personal situations. Their online consultation is completely useless since they never actually approve anything. I'd give them zero stars if I could. I bet their terrible customer treatment is probably why they're going out of business. Not shocking at all.

Worst customer service ever avoid at all costs
Absolutely dreadful. I've been attempting to sign up with this company for nearly eight weeks. Their communication is non-existent. Whenever I phone, the receptionist repeatedly claims they're understaffed and suggests I try calling back in seven days. After almost two full months, absolutely nothing has been accomplished. If you're seeking an experience characterized by endless waiting and zero responsiveness, this is your destination. It's astonishing that Google doesn't permit a zero-star rating, as this establishment unquestionably merits such a distinction.

Terrible service and disrespectful staff at clinic
My mother's appointment was shifted an hour later with minimal warning, which I acknowledge could be due to urgent circumstances. Nonetheless, my mum's health was deteriorating. I quickly brought her over since she resides just across the street and needed immediate medical assistance. We were advised no medical professional could see her for another ninety minutes and were directed to go to the hospital. The hospital provided codeine and suggested she return to the doctor, citing a three-hour waiting period. Upon returning to the clinic, the young, arrogant receptionist "Josh" informed me he had cancelled the appointment. My mother insisted neither of us had cancelled, but he claimed it was cancelled because we went to the hospital. My primary issue was his dismissive attitude and condescending body language towards me. I requested to speak with a manager. He returned and stated, "The manager cannot come down immediately, she has work to do, and I was correct in cancelling the appointment" and then abruptly asked, "Would you like the next available slot or not?" I sincerely hope this young man receives proper training in communication skills, which he clearly lacks.

Friendly medical staff marred by terrible reception
The medical team performing surgeries here are top-notch, but navigating the reception staff is a challenge. These receptionists act as if they have medical expertise, yet they come across as dismissive and borderline discourteous. It's no surprise that emergency and urgent care services are overwhelmed when patients struggle to get past these gatekeepers just to access necessary medical assistance.

Dangerous prescription management puts my health at risk
My medication has been completely removed from my repeat prescription without any explanation. As someone with type 1 diabetes and a newborn baby, having reliable access to my essential medications is absolutely crucial. I've been forced to repeatedly contact the surgery to arrange a callback from the medication manager, who has been calling sporadically once per day and making no genuine effort to reach me when I'm unavailable due to caring for my two-week-old son. Today (Friday), I called again at 4:30pm and was informed that because I'm calling so late, I won't receive a callback until Tuesday. This means I'm now caring for my baby while being without my necessary medication. If they hadn't arbitrarily decided to eliminate all my medications from my prescription without reason or notification, this situation would never have occurred. The timing of this action, coinciding with the arrival of my newborn, is particularly absurd. The receptionist today even spoke to me as if I were at fault for calling late and not answering their single, random phone attempt. Perhaps they should: 1) stop removing critical medications from prescriptions without reason or communication, and 2) develop a more modern system for connecting patients with the right person to address urgent medication needs. It's really not complicated.
