Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality across different areas of the practice. Medical staff, including doctors and nurses, consistently receive praise for compassionate care, thorough consultations, and professional expertise. Vaccination services have been particularly well-received, with patients noting efficient queue management and courteous staff. However, appointment scheduling emerges as a persistent challenge, with patients reporting difficulties reaching the practice by phone, lengthy waiting times to connect, and frustration with same-day-only booking systems that prove impractical for those in employment. Reception experience is similarly inconsistent, with some patients describing staff as welcoming and helpful whilst others report dismissive or disrespectful behaviour.

Communication and responsiveness present ongoing concerns, particularly regarding medication management, prescription processing delays, and follow-up contact. Several patients describe registration processes as complicated and poorly coordinated, with lost documents and unclear next steps. Waiting times for appointments, once secured, are generally accepted when patients understand this reflects thorough clinical attention, though some report feeling rushed during consultations. The practice lacks an online booking system, which patients identify as a significant gap in modern service provision.

When patients successfully access clinical care, satisfaction levels are notably high, with many expressing gratitude for attentive listening and individualised treatment. The disconnect appears most acute between reception access barriers and the quality of care once appointments are obtained, suggesting organisational and communication improvements could substantially enhance overall patient experience.

Excellent!

Fantastic doctors who truly care about patients

Crystal clear communication here. Dr. Kadri is exceptional - always thorough in explaining medical details, genuinely listens, and addresses every single question comprehensively. I'm genuinely puzzled by the seemingly low ratings this practice has received. In complete candor, this is absolutely the most outstanding general practitioner I've encountered in years, significantly superior to other local medical providers!

Caring and efficient medical team at st peters

The medical practice at St Peters is exceptionally well-organized, hygienic, and most importantly, compassionate and empathetic. The front desk staff are consistently quick and efficient in providing assistance. My physician is extremely articulate, avoids hasty judgments, and carefully listens to all my health concerns while maintaining professionalism even during busy periods. Additionally, the on-site pharmacy is prompt and competent, dispensing prescriptions with meticulous attention and care. My sole criticism involves their early morning telephone booking system for same-day appointments. While convenient in concept, the timing of available slots and potential staff scheduling conflicts can make securing an appointment challenging. As a full-time caregiver for a disabled individual, finding personal healthcare time is difficult. However, when I do manage to schedule a visit, I'm confident St Peters will deliver clear, precise information without unnecessary complications. Their evident pride in their work is truly apparent.

Frustrating and impossible appointment booking system

The appointment scheduling system at this medical practice is completely broken. Attempting to book a GP consultation involves a frustratingly convoluted process. When you call to arrange an appointment, you're immediately told they only provide same-day slots and are instructed to phone precisely at 0830. However, when you follow these instructions, you'll encounter nothing but a perpetual engaged tone, which can persist anywhere from a quarter to half an hour. Eventually, should you manage to get through, you'll be placed in a queue. After enduring more waiting, you'll finally reach reception, who will most likely inform you that all same-day appointments have already been allocated. Their suggested alternative is to physically visit the practice first thing in the morning to secure a slot. This approach is utterly impractical for anyone maintaining standard full-time employment without extraordinary scheduling flexibility.

Caring staff make medical visits a pleasant experience

The front desk personnel are incredibly supportive, and the medical professionals demonstrate genuine compassion and understanding. Securing a same-day consultation can be challenging - you might need to wait in line or repeatedly dial to connect, and occasionally they're completely scheduled. However, I've typically managed to book an appointment within the next couple of days. You can also schedule consultations several weeks in advance. While there might be a waiting period of around thirty minutes, once you're with the doctor, they take ample time and don't feel rushed. Personally, I believe the staff are genuinely committed to providing the best care possible, and some of the critical reviewers should appreciate the NHS and recognize that immediate service isn't always realistic!

Bad!

Terrible service and long wait times

Steer clear of this place! The personnel lack basic courtesy, and scheduling an appointment is nearly impossible. Even if you manage to secure a slot, be prepared to waste significant time languishing in the waiting area, potentially cooling your heels for close to a quarter of an hour.

Friendly clinic with parking challenges

A pleasant medical facility with competent physicians and friendly front desk staff who create a welcoming atmosphere. The convenient on-site pharmacy is a definite plus. The primary drawback is the cramped parking area, which is consistently overcrowded and can lead to challenging maneuvering situations when vehicles are entering or exiting simultaneously, often requiring one driver to yield.

Caring doctors who go above and beyond expectations

I've been a patient at this medical practice since I was around 14 years old (with a brief hiatus when I lived elsewhere), and I returned to them upon moving back because of their exceptional support! The doctors genuinely strive to provide the best care and are incredibly compassionate. While you might experience a slight wait beyond your scheduled time, it's clear this is because they're dedicating thorough attention to each patient, maintaining quality care despite potential pressures. Recently, I consulted Dr Saba about a health concern that another clinic had previously dismissed and told me not to worry about years ago. Being someone who tends to worry, I scheduled an appointment where Dr Saba took my concerns seriously, conducted a comprehensive examination, and arranged the necessary referrals. His approach was reassuring, and he made me feel valued as an individual rather than just another patient. Although the NHS faces significant resource constraints, I believe this medical practice is truly maximizing their capabilities and delivering outstanding care with what they have available!
