Patient Experience Summary

Patients consistently report severe challenges accessing appointments at this practice, with extended waiting times on phone lines and unavailable slots even when calling at opening hours. The booking experience is frequently described as frustrating, with many unable to secure consultations despite multiple attempts, and some facing waits of several weeks. Reception experience emerges as a significant concern, with patients reporting discourteous interactions, poor communication, and staff appearing unhelpful or dismissive of patient needs. In contrast, when patients do access clinical care, medical professionals and nursing staff receive praise for professionalism and compassion. The practice environment is noted as clean and well-maintained. However, the administrative barriers to accessing care appear to be creating substantial patient frustration and contributing to wider healthcare system pressures, with some patients resorting to alternative services or changing providers entirely.

Communication issues extend beyond reception interactions, with patients reporting failures in appointment reminders, prescription notifications, and follow-up care coordination. Several patients describe feeling unable to reach the practice by phone, with calls going unanswered or long hold times before slots are reported as fully booked. The contrast between the practice's ability to send vaccination reminders and its difficulty in managing routine appointment access has been noted by patients as inconsistent.

While individual clinical encounters have been positive for some patients, the overall service experience is undermined by access difficulties and reception courtesy concerns. The practice appears to have experienced a decline in service quality since the pandemic, with patients noting reduced appointment availability and increased reliance on phone consultations rather than in-person visits.

Incredible nurse made our healthcare experience amazing

Today my partner visited the nurse at Ventura Easy, and I'm truly impressed. She was incredibly compassionate and professional, making my partner feel completely comfortable. The nurse was extremely thorough and provided detailed information that was both helpful and reassuring. I cannot express my gratitude enough - THANK YOU. ......... ST PETERS SURGERY, YOU MUST RETAIN THIS EXCEPTIONAL NURSE

Terrible healthcare service leaves patient frustrated and helpless

Getting a doctor's appointment is practically impossible, and I speak from experience. After being hospitalized in Crete, I returned home and attempted to secure a consultation, but to no avail. Within a single week, I made four trips to the hospital, receiving antibiotics and having my wound cleaned and bandaged, yet there was zero follow-up from any physicians. Additionally, my diabetes check appointments with the nurse have been cancelled twice. When I requested a sick note for work, I was simply directed to handle it online - but what about individuals who lack internet access or digital skills? The receptionists are incredibly unhelpful and seem completely indifferent to patients' needs.

Rude receptionists ruin otherwise great medical practice

The medical professionals at this clinic, particularly Dr O'Malley and the nursing team, are excellent. However, the reception staff are a significant problem. This morning, I experienced an appalling interaction with a receptionist (whose name sounded like Rodge or Raj) who was incredibly unprofessional. She spoke over me, dismissed my concerns about online booking difficulties, and abruptly ended the call with a hostile attitude. Her communication skills are unacceptable for someone representing a medical practice. I would be mortified to have such an aggressive individual as the first point of contact for patients. The way I was treated was completely unacceptable, with the receptionist acting like an aggressive gatekeeper rather than a helpful staff member. I am definitely filing a formal complaint. The Quality Care Commission should conduct a thorough review of St Peter's Surgery, as the service quality has dramatically declined since the pandemic. The reception staff urgently need training in basic customer service, compassion, and professional communication. No patient should be spoken to disrespectfully, especially when they are already feeling unwell and vulnerable.

Frustrating experience with scheduling nightmare

Scheduling a consultation here is an absolute nightmare. No matter how hard I try, securing a time slot seems completely unattainable. The booking process is incredibly frustrating, and I've been unsuccessful in setting up an appointment despite multiple attempts.

Worst medical experience ever with dismissive doctor

Dr. Nouri displays a dismissive and unpleasant demeanor, demonstrating little to no competence or compassion. The physician appears indifferent to patient concerns, seemingly only willing to engage if the medical issue is catastrophically severe.

Exceptional medical care with friendly staff

On March 11th, I had a positive encounter with excellent service. The doctor was highly professional, and overall, the visit was satisfactory. Following up on my previous review from April 7th, I can confirm another great experience. Dr. Tandon was exceptional, and the reception staff was equally impressive.

Terrible service and unprofessional medical staff nightmare

Absolutely terrible surgical experience. I strongly advise against considering this facility for any medical procedure. When attempting to schedule an appointment, I was dismissed and instructed to book online precisely at 8 a.m., which was frustrating. Additionally, the front desk staff demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy.

Terrible service at this frustrating medical practice

This general practice is far from satisfactory. Compared to the clinics in central London, they fall short of expectations. Despite being a patient here for half a decade, I've struggled to secure even five appointments for my six-family-member household. Their service is completely unsatisfactory. Moreover, they insist on online booking, which is challenging for individuals like myself who are not fluent in English.

Terrible service from an unresponsive medical practice

This medical practice is absolutely the least supportive I've encountered. When patients require medical attention, they should be able to see a doctor, not be confronted with an impenetrable barrier at the reception desk. It's no surprise that emergency departments are overcrowded when healthcare facilities like this one operate with such inefficiency and lack of patient care.

Terrible service and misleading medical care

Zero stars, and they're fortunate to even get one. I'm bewildered how this establishment continues to operate with such terrible customer service and the receptionist's appalling demeanor. I was receiving B12 injections when Dr. Tandon abruptly halted my treatment without any explanation. He then instructed me to undergo a blood test to assess my levels. After completing the test, I called to inquire about the results, and he dishonestly claimed the test wasn't for my B12 and insisted I needed to repeat it, blatantly lying about the purpose. I'm completely frustrated and done with this incompetent practice. Absolutely zero out of five stars.

Terrible medical practice with rude and unhelpful staff

Absolute bottom of the barrel medical facility. Securing an appointment is virtually impossible, with 111 being the sole gateway and morning calls starting at 07:59 resulting in either technical line issues or being stuck at position 20 in the queue. While I can't speak about every physician, the doctors I've encountered are incredibly dismissive towards patients, displaying an arrogant attitude as if they're superior beings. Attempting to provide any feedback is met with them abruptly terminating the conversation. Some staff members demonstrate shocking incompetence, struggling with basic computer skills, displaying poor communication, and exhibiting a lack of fundamental medical knowledge. Their demeanor suggests treating patients is an unwelcome burden rather than a professional responsibility. I absolutely cannot recommend this practice to anyone. If you genuinely value your health, seek out a medical facility that actually demonstrates care and respect for patients. UTTERLY UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, AND INCOMPETENT!

Terrible service and unresponsive medical staff

Completely appalling how they constantly claim no appointments are available, and when I went to get blood work done, the place was completely empty since Covid. The general practitioners have it incredibly easy now - no surprise our National Health Service is overwhelmed with patients. Before the pandemic, the surgery was always packed every single time you visited. I tried calling for three consecutive days last week and couldn't secure an appointment on any of those attempts.
