Over the past several days, I've received six missed calls from an unfamiliar number. Curious, I decided to return the call to identify the caller, which turned out to be a doctor's office. When the receptionist picked up, she was incredibly discourteous. I was perplexed since I'm not a patient at this medical practice and was completely unaware of its existence. I'm relieved I'm not registered with this clinic, given how unpleasant and hostile their front desk staff appears to be 🤮

Dr. Marina's bedside manner is incredibly off-putting. Her communication skills are severely lacking, both with adults and children. She seems completely unprofessional and inappropriate when interacting with patients. I'm genuinely perplexed about how such an institution could have hired her. She desperately needs to develop fundamental interpersonal skills before being allowed to treat anyone. Furthermore, it's astonishing that someone with such a deplorable attitude could have even obtained a medical degree.

Surgery improvements make patient happy
The medical practice appears to be making positive strides. The replacement of the previously frustrating eConsult with accurx, linked to NHS login, means I no longer have to navigate through countless irrelevant questions that the doctor seemingly never reviewed. Navigating the website remains slightly challenging (the green-blue box with "NHS Contact us online" is the key), but it's significantly more straightforward now. Successfully scheduled an appointment at 9:30 on a Friday without being told they'd exhausted their daily eConsult quota. Received a text about an hour later offering appointment options at the surgery, with flexibility to book immediately or within a week, and the booking link remains active for seven days. Got seen promptly the same day, despite the late afternoon timing, by a wonderfully pleasant duty doctor. Prescription electronically sent to the pharmacy, and I collected my medication just ten minutes after the consultation. There's a palpable sense that someone within the practice is genuinely attempting to improve services, with noticeable success. 5th Nov 2024… Additionally, I've discovered further enhancements: the digital display screen for patient calls has been removed, which surprisingly feels more personal - having a real person call your name seems more welcoming for patients. Moreover, they now have an on-site physiotherapist, eliminating the previously extensive wait for appointments at Queen Mary's.

Utterly appalling how the medical facility handled my elderly father's appointment. He received a text message about a scheduled surgery, only to arrive and be turned away, claiming no knowledge of his booking. To make matters worse, they then contacted him after he returned home, asking him to come back. This medical practice embodies every nightmare scenario you could imagine at a healthcare facility: staff demonstrate alarming levels of professional incompetence that approach medical negligence. Scheduling appointments is an exercise in extreme frustration. Patients are routinely advised they must seek private care just to receive basic medical attention. When doctors abruptly depart, patients are shuffled between practitioners without continuity (the frequent staff turnover speaks volumes about the workplace environment). Formal complaints are systematically ignored and never properly investigated. After enduring two decades of substandard care, I've finally severed my connection with this surgery. I cannot stress enough how strongly I advise against becoming a patient here - run in the opposite direction!
